So here we go. We've got another episode. Thank you guys so much for tuning in once again. This one is coming a little bit late, but better late than never. Always I do my best to try and upload. I'm trying to upload them with a little bit more consistency, but this one did come a couple of days late. But that's totally fine, totally fine. Here we go. We did have a crazy weekend here in Nashville. I don't know if you guys are here, whatever you're doing, but
here in Nashville, we had a really crazy weekend. It was just events on top of events on top of events, which was crazy. It's not unusual for the city to have those kind of events and have those numbers of people that we did have, But this one was really kind of the first one of the year. It was really kind of a kickoff for the entire rest of the season. We're really in the spring now. We're kind of getting through rainy season, through tornado season a little bit, and into nice
weather. Like right now, I'm looking outside and it's sunny. It's warm outside, and my thermostat says eighty two degrees, so it's fantastic. The humidity hasn't quite come in yet, which is fine. It'll come in in the next few days. When there's rain, it really comes in and like a week solid of rain, and then all of a sudden that just the humidity just sticks around and you'll winter again, which is a pity because I
really like this weather without the humidity. It's really perfect out here without the humidity. But the rain will come, the humidity will drop, and it's fine. But this was a big weekend. We had all sorts of things happening. The big one that you probably have heard about, especially if you're here in Nashville. If you've not heard about it, if you're not from Nashville, now you're to find out. As we had Taylor Swift. She
was here for three straight days. She played three shows at the Titans Stadium, totaling a grand total of about three hundred thousand maybe a shade over in ticket sales, which is absolutely absurd. So there was a mass descendants upon the city of Nashville by teenagers. Essentially, it was basically just overrun. The entire city was completely overrun, which is a little obnoxious because now you
can't get into your favorite restaurants. There's traffic everywhere. They take over everything, and then they don't buy anything because they don't have money, or they spend all their money getting a Taylor Swift ticket for over a thousand dollars to sit in the nosebleeds. And then on top of that, they're going to spend about a thousand dollars a night because the hotels understand that they're going to spend a lot of money and they're forcing them to. So you're going to
spend thousands of dollars and it seems insane to me. It feels it feels uncomfortably insane. But I am a little bit of a businessman, and so a lot of you know that I drive for Uber. I really do enjoy it. I'm actually one of the ogs of Uber. I've been driving for Uber for like almost ten years, and it's just a lot of fun. I really do like enjoy it. I really only drive during the day, So all of you that are like, oh, like he drives at night,
that's weird. No, absolutely not. I drive during the day, and I like the people during the day. I like people that kind of have their wits about them, are going from you know, their house to whatever to work. Or to business meetings or you know whatever, just kind of like daytime people. But really, as soon as the as the crazy start coming out at about three o'clock, I'm already done. So I really do, i'd really do enjoy driving for Uber. So I went out Friday
morning. It was the first day of the concerts, so they've already descended upon Nashville. A lot of them had already come in. The Swift fans had already come in Thursday night, So they're gonna spend so much. Oh my goodness, gracious, imagine spending two thousand dollars for a hotel room that you're going to spend less than six hours in. Oh my goodness, gracious, shocking. I can't believe it. Anyways, Anyways, I digress. But anyways, so I go out drive for Uber. First ride of the
day. First ride. I picked this girl up, Taylor Swift fan. She's excited, she's got her friend with her whatever. I'm driving him around, taking him to wherever we were going. So in order to pull out of this place, I had to take two right turns. But there's only I can only go right out of this out of this establishment parking lot whatever it was to get to the main streets. So I'm only going right, so I'm turning right. I go to the stop sign and I'm turning right
again. The road goes nowhere else but right right. So doing that, I know that I've done that that ride dozens and dozens of times. I've given over like four thousand rides here in Nashville over the last few years, so I'm pretty familiar with the area. So i just made the quick right turns literally less than a minute. Like it's it's really short, no traffic.
I'm just following the road. She goes without saying anything. We said hello, like exchange pleasant trees or whatever, you know, and so that
was the only thing she said. The next thing she says to me as I made that second right turn onto the main road, was you don't like using your blinker, do you mind you I had not used my blinker pulling out of the two right hand turns, because again I said, there are only there's only one way to go out of these park out of this parking lot to get to the main road, which is a right and a right.
There's that's it. There's no cross traffic, there's nothing happening so when she says, you don't like using your blinker I replied and said, well, I usually do most days, but in the last couple of days I ended up running out a blinker fluid, so it's a little bit of an issue. And she says, oh, my gosh, I've actually heard of
that, Like does that happen often? And so then I was under the impression that for the next four and a half minutes of the ride that we were going to engage in a highly sarcastic conversation that was pretty quick witted and like pretty funny, Like it was a pretty funny conversation that we were just going back and forth. I was completely under the impression that everything that we were saying was just not real based on my statement about running out of blinker
fluid. Then Okay, we get to the place that we're going and I'm like, oh, that was funny. This girl's pretty funny. We pull up to the place that I'm dropping him off at and she goes, hey, I just want to make sure like you're safe out there, So I'm gonna give you this like twenty dollar bill so you can like take a break and go get your blinker fluid fixed and gives me a twenty dollar bill and then I said, I said thank you, but I was a little shocked,
and she shut the door and walked away. And I sat there stunned because I really think she believed that Blinker Fluid was a thing. And that's what I was dealing with the entire weekend with Taylor Swift fans. That was my opening impression of Taylor Swift fans. Unbelievable. And I will give you her benefit of the doubt here. I will give her the benefit of the doubt. And I will say, the more that I thought about it,
we were what I thought was having a very funny conversation. And I think maybe there is an option that she was just fully committing to the joke and she was willing to eat twenty dollars just to stay committed to her part of the joke, which is really funny. If she did that, that is very funny. That is extremely highbrow, even for me, but that is
that would be super funny. But the way that she was talking, her body language, the way that she was going about it, I suddenly realized in that instance, anyways, that I think she thinks Blinker fluid is actually a real thing. So that was my weekend in a kind of a nutshell. If you're still wondering and listening to this wondering if blinker fluid is a thing, it is not a thing that's not real. It's not real. It was a bad joke that I'm not sure was picked up by T Swift
fan. But I will keep that in the back of my head because that's pretty funny given a certain demographic that will actually hook line and sinker on that joke and not realize it's a joke. But if that girl is smart, like I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt of then hur eating that twenty dollars to send, like to commit to her side of the joke, she might be the funniest person I've ever met. And I just did an episode
about that the other day. Who's the funniest person? You know? And if she was, like really committed to that twenty dollars and really committed to that twenty dollars joke, she is now the funniest person I've ever met. Because it rattled me for the rest of the day. I still have that twenty dollar bill. I am rattled by it. In multiple ways, and I think either way it's extremely hilarious. So there, that's my Taylor Swift. That's my Taylor Swift story. That's my experience this weekend. I hope
you guys were able to enjoy your weekend. It's getting really nice out. It's starting to become like hiking weather and going out on trails and camping weather. It's fantastic. Fishing and going out on the lake and doing your thing, and playing volleyball, doing your thing. It's fantastic. Jeanie's starting to get the itch for some roller skating. She really loves doing that in the summertime. She's really been excited about that. She started doing some like outdoor
yoga and doing some stuff like that. She's really enjoying that. We'll see how she gets as soon as ze humidity drops in here. But she doesn't actually mind it as much as I do. I'm really sensitive to it, if I could say gently, But yes, this is gonna be a good summer. Starting to plan some things, some trips, some goal planning, some dream making. It's gonna be awesome. I'll let you guys know over that in the next couple of episodes. Genie and I do have some like
crazy life changes coming along that will be pretty exciting. I'm pretty excited. These things are like ten years kind of in the making, just in like dream building, and it's just really cool to like really see it start to come through to fruition individually for us and collectively as well, because we are, you know, married, so that's pretty cool. But anyways, my question for the day is a simple one, and I actually I actually lost
track. Oh there, I literally just opened up to it. I grabbed my book, my journal book, my five year Question today, Memory Journal, and I shut the book because I got nervous in my hands started fidgeting, and so I picked it up, and then I shut the book and went, oh, that was stupid. I was just about to read the question. So now I do have the question. So the question is for the day is can we like start some music here, get the fade up
going great, great, great great great cool. So the question is today, can you keep a secret? So I don't know if you can keep a secret. You knew immediately as soon as I asked the question, if you can keep a secret, if you're that person or you are not that person. For me, it is a very simple answer to that question. No, I cannot keep a secret. I do not like keeping secrets. I don't know why anybody would like keeping secrets, mostly because I just feel
dishonest. I don't like lying. I don't like feeling like I'm deceiving people. Something about it makes me super itchy. And not all of secrets have to be like malicious or like hurtful. And I understand that, I get that some secrets are good, but you guys should see me like during like
Christmas time, I'm an absolute mess. It feels like it's just screwing up my moral compass because I'm buying things like I'm going out and I'm buying things like for Jeanie, for example, for Christmas, things that she's been like, oh, like I would really love to have this great. So I go and buy this thing. Great, but this time, out of any other time of the year. If she's like I want this thing, I go and buy her the thing, and I give her the thing, and
then it's done. But now I have to sit and pretend like I didn't just fulfill a need and now I have to wait two weeks to fulfill a need that she's had for months and months, and it feels silly and I just don't like it. I feel like I'm keeping secrets. I feel like I'm lying to her. It makes me super anxious. And we open presents as soon as possible. I try. If we could, you know, come to an agreement where we just open them, like the twenty fourth,
that would be even better. I just really don't like it. I don't like it. Um. I do see, obviously, the practicality of different kinds of secrets, like for music stuff like my my band stuff Like I would never be like, oh, here's a here's a single that we're going to release in twelve weeks from now. We have it ready, we have the art ork, we have the pictures. Here's here's the thing. That would be weird. You'd be like, that's a that would that's a weird
secret to to tell like that. I don't want that or you know, but like getting in people's business where it's like, oh, you have to keep this secret. No, don't tell me, don't tell me. No. I hate you for that. I hate you for that. I'm gonna tell somebody because I don't like heating secrets. I I have a thing about being honest. I have a thing about it. I know some people don't have that I I do. I do. It makes me nuts, it makes me itchy, and I'd rather you not tell me secrets, tell me
things that I can talk about with other people immediately. That's that's that's the kind of things I want you to tell me. Like I process that way. I like the process, especially like with a wife or with with the guys in the band like it. It gets really difficult for me because we do a lot of like band stuff, and it feels like I'm keeping secrets because I'm not telling her kind of you know, the day to day things, but it's not it's not relevant kind of things like it's not I don't
know. I don't know. I just don't like it. So can you keep a secret? I cannot. Maybe you can, but you just have to be very aware of the things that you tell me, because it's gonna come out of my mouth unless you tell me. Don't tell me, don't tell anybody this. But even then, it's a case by case basis. Here it's a case by case basis. So great, fantastic. So we still have a bunch of episodes coming up I'm actually going to be doing a
couple like in the hopper. We might get to where we're starting to do two a week, which I've had some clamoring for. Fantastic. We did have a really great week and a really great episode last week. Let me see, like I'm actually my my stats for last week. So this last week we've had I mean great, Yeah, just over the last handful of days, five days, we've had over like four hundred downloads, so we've had even more of that just throughout like my other episodes and things like that.
So that's really fantastic that you guys are listening to that in that kind of number, which is actually really amazing. But thank you guys so much for listening, Like, subscribe, share, find me on Facebook, Instagram, the whole thing, dam Reviews podcast, find me on my personal Instagram as well. That's really great. Um, I thank you guys so much for listening. I'll see you the next one, Okay, bye,
