Author Jenna Blum went through a series of life chapters and milestones with her senior dog, Woodrow, including later losing her mother. In her memoir, Woodrow on the Bench, Jenna tells the story of how they found community in Boston at their local park by just posting up on a special bench in Woodrow’s final days. The connections to neighbors, strangers, friends, and family through the bench is something that Jenna will never forget – and she has Woodrow to thank.
