Speaker 1

He changed the game tonight in the seventh inning with a big game time to run a home run? Will Smith? What does it mean to you? You've come up with so many clutch hits in your young career. Where does this one rank? Yeah?

Speaker 2

It's up there. You know, it's always fun to do it on a night you know they played so uh was they able to tie the ball game up? You know, it seemed like where sniping runs the whole game, but uh, it's gonna come in the big hits, so uh yeah, I was up there when it happened. But uh yeah, able to tack on a few more that ending that was you know, that's what I want. I smug out.

Speaker 1

I feel like that is the greatest backflip of your career. Yeah I was fucking yeah you were. What did you feel you had must Grove on the ropes after month season leadoff walk? Where did you see must Grove at that point in time? Did you feel like you had him?

Speaker 2

Not? Really? He was able to get into hitters count, so I get a three one. You know, he was pitching really well tonight. He's keeping on Futon Mallens. Uh Skirball is really sharp, so uh, you know we just had to grind him out and eventually, you know, get a blow in there to them. So it was more of a team ember Uh, you know, might number just happen to be called them.

Speaker 1

Ever since you've got called up to the big leagues, you've been part of an NLS champion except for one season, and you won one hundred and six games that year. If you've won a World Series championship, can you put into context with this one means to not only you but to the group?

Speaker 2

Yeah, I mean that's That's what I like to do, is to win. That's why you know, I want to be here because you know, we have an opportunity to win a World Series every single year, and that's that's the goal each and every year, and that's what we're working for. So you know, this is step one. Obviously, we've got Colorados who want to finish you wrong and then you know, go ahead and win the the DS, yes, the World Series. So that's what we're trying to do.

Speaker 1

Will one more for you? You've had to handle a lot of pitchers this season. How have you been able to do it? And what can you say about not just ten thirteen guys but upwards up thirty different pitchers that you've caught this year.

Speaker 2

Yeah, we've called on a lot of guys to step up throw beginnings for us. So you know, obviously all the injuries and guys come off the I L and all that, you know, I want to deal with, but we've been able to deal with this, so you know, credit to Mark Danny's connor. Again, it's keeping all these guys right, trying to keep it healthy and uh yeah, just go out there and you know they all have really good stuff, so use it. You know what's got inside.

Speaker 1

I love it.

Speaker 2

Well.

Speaker 1

It said a lot your emotion on that game time home run. It was great to see and we look forward to more of these. Your little too, dry Smith, you got to get in there.

Speaker 2

So we're good.
