Transcript

Speaker 1

Will a big win for you guys, a big series win for you now have a six game lead plus the tiebreaker. Was there that sense of urgency before the game to get this one.

Speaker 2

Throw? Is this? You know, I try to come out here every day and win a ball game, and uh, that's what we did.

Speaker 1

Well. You actually came up big in a game that was somewhat close at that point in time against the team that is known to come back late. How big was that two run baseit with two outs that you came through in the seventh inning.

Speaker 2

Yeah, it was big. You know, it got us up, you know, six to one, I figure whatever it was at the time. So, yeah, a couple of runs late, it's always good, you know, give us a better chance to win the game and turn over the bullpen and they'll shut it down.

Speaker 1

You also had a big throw in the sixth inning, throwing out the speedy Jake McCarthy. Jack flaherty was a little was laboring a little bit in that inning. How were you able? What's the key to be able to throw out a runner like McCarthy And that seemed to be a big two out.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I mean it was three to zero, So it's just being aware that he might run three zero. We knew that, so yeah, you're just still ready for it. You know, we got a strike he was taking and just made a good throw me. You made a good tag and uh that was a big out for us.

Speaker 1

Do you feel like you're starting to feel like yourself again at the plate this four games? It seemed like you really resembled uh the first half Will Smith.

Speaker 2

Yeah, feeling a lot better. Just continue to work. Uh, continue to work with the hitty coaches in the cage and uh, you know, just keep working every day.

Speaker 1

Thanks a lot for stopping. Appreciate it.

Speaker 2

Thank you.
