Speaker 1

And now an exclusive interview with David Bassey for Dodger Talk.

Speaker 2

Hey, well let's start in the eighth inning with that rundown where you scored the tying run. What did you see on that play and did you ever get that good of a screen in basketball at Louisville?

Speaker 3

Huh yeah, No, I was probably actually supposed to see it through there. That's what we talked about, but uh, yeah, just read down angle. Luckily they messed it up. We're able to score a run and tied up.

Speaker 2

In that case. Is it the classic contact play? Anything hit you're going.

Speaker 3

Yeah, not right there. Actually we were holding up trying to get a guy, you know, with a guy on deck hitting, But that worked out for us.

Speaker 2

Did you see the whole play unfold how Garrett was blocking Alvarez to allow you to slide in there safely.

Speaker 3

Yeah, once it pops up, I was trying to, you know, get my foot in there as fast as possiball. I definitely saw him, uh, you know, block them out, So that helped us.

Speaker 2

How big was it to come back again in the eighth inning against ree Garrett Conforto with the big hit. It's been a struggle for him.

Speaker 3

Yeah, those huge for Mikey. You know, hopefully you can continue to build off of that. You know, coming up clutching a big spot, we needed to be hit, you know, Garret got us the other night, but were able to give it to night.

Speaker 2

It's been a great serious against the Mets. What is it about them that really matches up well between you two teams. Yeah, they're good ball club.

Speaker 3

You know, you make mistakes, they capitalize. You know, they're throwing the ball really well. They've been doing it all year. So scoring runs is hard, but you know, putting together a good team at Battin's is how we do it.

Speaker 2

Thanks a lot for stopping. Great job as always behind the plate. Long day for Will Smith. You always deliver offensively too.
