Tommy, what a series for you guys to come back and win these last two games. You had a great series. How big was it to get a split? Yeah, that was awesome.
You know, a rough first couple of games here and to come out of here with a split. You know, played pretty well the past couple of days, and you know we're all these games counting now, so we're just you know, playing hard and just grinding out every inning.
That was impressive for you guys to score nine runs tonight on only four hits, So that shows a different dimension of your offense.
Yes, you know, good advass. You know, we don't have to crush the ball in order to score runs. You did a good job of staying patient and taking what they gave us, which today was kind of a lot of walks. And you know, especially that any were scored whatever six runs, we you know, got the bases loaded with walks and then just kind of hide good advass after that. So, yeah, just don't always have to hit a bunch of homers to score a bunch of runs.
No doubt, chicks dig the long ball, but that's the way to win games. Hey, Tommy, I gotta ask you about the best play of the game tonight. It wasn't offense, it was defense. In the third inning, how you were able to cut down Michael Harris the second at the plate. Can you take us through the relay to key K and just how impressive key K's throw was.
Yeah, that was a sick throw. You know. I got the ball just trying to get in as quick as I could and kind of threw it off line a little bit, and KEYK made a good adjustment to you know, fire strike to home plate. So that was huge. You know, I think the first four innings they had run around second and third and couldn't cash it in. So I think that kind of set the tone for the game and we were able to battle and get a few runs and you know, put it away in the sixth.
I would say you played it pretty well, Tommy. Thanks a lot for the time. Thank you.
I appreciate it.
