All right, key K, what a special day at Dodgers Stadium. You deliver for your old teammate Clayton Kershaw on his first game. What was it like out there today?
Uh? Man, it was. Uh there's a lot of joy at least for me on that top of the first Uh, you know, taking my position and hearing that song again. Man, I'm kind of getting chills as I'm talking about it, but I I missed hearing that song.
Uh.
You know, it's been my favorite guy to play behind. And you know, of course, first surgery of his career, and we we all know how hard is his recovery was, and you know, uh, he worked his ass off to be here at this point, and we're all really happy for him.
There was always that level of respect for him, but maybe even more.
Now, no question. I mean, that is just a true testament of who he is, what.
Type of how hard he works, and uh, you.
Know, I'm just glad he's back with us, and uh you know, I'm glad we were able to get to win for him.
He k. That was my first part of the day. The second part of my day was in the fourth inning the g Dodgers Key K Hernandez and Austin Barnes give him the Dodgers delete. How great of a feeling is it to have all of you contribute?
Yeah, I mean it's great. Uh you know, I had h I'm starting to feel a little better the play. I I had a decent homestand some good games and some really not great games. But uh, you know, I I'm glad that I was able to you know, I finished the homestand on a good note. Uh before we go we head to Houston. But uh, you know, I gotta gotta give gotta gotta give my flowers to to Barnesy. Man, he's probably the hottest hitter in our team right now.
He's got he's got the thing going on, and uh, you know, I'm just really happy for him because of course he's also been working his butt off and in the cage to to to get to the point where he's at right now, and uh, he's been huge for us of the play, and uh, you know, I'm glad that we were both able to contribute. And uh, uh you know, six and one of the homestand now back to start a second half.
