injury. In just a few minutes. We'll check in with Rick Monday and Tim Neffett out the Galvin Motors Broadcast booth. Well, last night, the Dodger Killer returned as the Dodgers offense when Mia Landing that got the start last night, the young right hander got into trouble early first inning. Jock Peterson, former Dodger, a sol a home run to give the Diamondbacks a quick one nothing lead. The very next batter, Christian Walker, the man who
has been tormenting the Dodgers, did it again. A one to two pitch, Walker swings in torches a ball left center field, carrying way out of here. Christian Walker cannot be stopped. That is his fourth home run of the series. He is homered in five straight games here at Dodgers Stadium. He makes it back to back jacks for the d Backs and the Dodgers now trailed two to nothing. Twenty first home run of the season for Christian Walker
is eighteenth against the Dodgers and forty two career games at Dodgers Stadium. Diamondbacks with a two to nothing late then the third Are you kidding me? The Dodger Killer was at it again? Slider change up to start Walker here in the third, one ball, one strike Peterson right next to Freddie Freeman's right hip. That is head hard, left field, deep, heading toward the corner. It's a fair ball and another home run Christian Walker. I am
without words, he too. Second home run of the game for Christian Walker is nineteenth of his career at Dodgers Stadium. As the Diamondbacks are up four to nothing. That's the top tier play of the game, sponsored by Arco Quality top tier gas for less. Christian Walker as homeward in five consecutive games at Dodger Stadium and has gone deep nine times this year against the Dodgers in all. In the fourth, the Dodgers' offense finally broke through basis loaded for
Key k Hernetti's He grinded out but run scored. Next batterusin Barnes gallons one oer pitch barn Swings flare center field, Marte gold back can catch it. Fergus scores Taylor behind him, a two run single for Rouston Barns and it's a one one game. Hey, two run single for Barnesy. Dodgers down only four to three. Finally some life, but it didn't last long. Arizona answer back with the run of the fifth and exploded like a firework of
four runs in the ninth inning. Diamondbacks beat the Dodgers last night nine to three. They take two to three at Dodger Stadium. Christian Walker, Thank goodness, this guy's getting out of town. Five home runs, nine Ribbies in the series. Tonight, a new game, a new series, thankfully, the Milwaukee Brewers in town. Dodgers hoping for some fireworks tonight on this
fifth of July. Tyler Glass now on the mount of the series opener, first pitch coming up at seven ten and with more we head out to the Gallpin Motors broadcast booth as we say hello to Rick Monday and Tim Nevertt. Guys, Thank you very much. Tim. Really nice night at Dodgers dum for a game one of those three game weekend series against two of the division leaders in the National League. The Brewers come in fifty two and thirty six.
They're six game leaders over the Cardinals in the Central. They've won seven of the last ten ball games. The Dodgers, now down to six and a half over the Padres. Fifty three and thirty five, have lost back to back games six and four in their last ten, but they have won thirteen of their last seventeen against the Brewers, outscoring him by fifty five runs during that stretch. As well, the Brewers have lost eleven of their last
twelve at Dodgers Stadium. Dodgers looking to get hot here as the weekend is upon us and we get ready to go out on our road trip that'll feature Philadelphia and Detroit right before the All Star break. But Moll Tyler glasnow on the hill looking to get it done against Aaron Savali. Savally making his Brewers debut tonight. Yeah, and Savally is the sixteenth different starting pitcher that has towed the mound for the Milwaukee Brewers, the first year manager Pat Murphy.
Now, a lot of people are saying, well, wait a minute, Greg Council goes to Chicago with the Cubs. What about the Brewers? What are they gonna do with managers? And Pat Murphy who used to also be the coach at Arizona State, had to get that plug in there by the way. But for Murph has the team in first place, and Dave Roberts, talking about the Brewers a little earlier today, said, hey, look here's the ball club that first of all, they put the ball into play.
They will bunt, they'll steal bases, and I mean they will steal bases if you take your eye off of them. They play very good defense, and also their bullpen is able to close some games out. Yeah, the running game is certainly something the Dodgers need to watch because if they don't, they will swipe bag after bag. One hundred and twenty stolen bases for the Brewers. That's the second most and major League Baseball, behind only the
Cincinnati Reds one hundred and twenty six. Yeah, the Dodgers have to do a better job themselves. We can talk about the Brewers all we want, But for the Dodgers the last four games, they've lost three of the four, they've been out hit fifty four to two. They had been out scored
in those four games thirty six to seventeen. They've not had as many opportunities with runners in scoring position, and the starting pitchers have not gone very long indeed, and they need to change all of those categories in no better time than do it tonight. A couple of notes things we observe today at the ballpark. Miguel Vargas moving in from the outfield. Watched him work out at third base. Told a few weeks ago that wasn't in the plans max months.
He taking a long time to get healthy. Now that appears to be in the plans. Yeah, it is in the plans because it's opened up opportunities. Jason Hayward injured in the ball game. He's going on the injured list, and James Outman gets recalled. Outman not in the starting lineup tonight, but it's going to be interesting now the next few games exactly what Dave Roberts does with the lineup, depending upon right handed pitcher going against him or
a lefty. So they got Outman on the bench, Bigio on the bench to left handers. Austin Barnes backup catcher. Expect to see him probably on Sunday. And on Sunday, we don't know who's gonna pitch yet, We're gonna find out in the next day or so. That's still a hole. Right now, the Dodgers seem to be thin as far as starting pitching goes. Yeah, starting pitcher, and then you look overall. The Dodgers have used twenty eight different pitchers so far this season. And we are not to
the All Star break yet. Yes, we're past the halfway mark. This is game number eighty nine for Glass. Now he's coming off a couple of less than stellar games. I would expect the thirty year old six foot eight right and hated to come out with a little vengeance here tonight and pick up ninth victory of the season and get shoe Hey Otani a birthday gift with a win tonight. Show Hey, turning thirty today. And it didn't take you very long to get the ASU plug in there? No it didn't opening segment,
isn't it all? It didn't take you long sooner than I thought. All right, we're counting it down first pitch, Brewers and Dodgers Game one of three, Jim, all right, as we counting down to first pitch, Dodger fans, get your game day meal on a Shaky's Pizza parlor. up, we'll hear from the manager Dave Roberts. We'll check in with David Vest of course throughout their show, he'll go one on one with mcguil. Rojas will break down this pitching matchup a little bit more. But up next, you're Tani rewind An. We'll hear from Jason Hayward himself going on the injury list with the knee injury. If it leads up to Dodgers and Brewers
first pitch at seven ten, Thanks for being with us. I'm Tim Kats's Los Angeles Dodgers Audio Network, its Lorongo Casino Dodgers on Dodgers on Deck. Y'all on the official home of LA Dodgers Baseball. It's the Dodgers and Brewers, the start of a three game weekend set. Tyler Glass now Aaron Savali is the pitching matchup. First pitch set for seven ten. This is the Otani Rewhy you'rs Gallon's all one pitch show. Hey going for third? The
throw from ma Reno to tag at third not in time. After the ball thrown from Gallant, Otani slides in safely, another stolen base for show Hayes, now up to seventeen on the year. Show Hey Otani swipes third last night, Unfortunately at the plate goes oh for three with three strikeouts, got on bass via walk. You heard the stolen base over to third, but he would get stranded to a third as the Dodgers last night had two of
their top three hitters go combined zero for seven with six strikeouts. The Sotani Rewind brought to you by eto inns Oyocha, Japan's number one green tea and the tea that show Heyo Tani loves and drinks Availabi, a local diso stores Amazon at Etoin dot com. That's it o e n dot Com. Last
night, Miguel Vargas came in as a replacement for Jason Hayward. Saw Taska Hernandez moved from leftfield over to right field and placed at Jason Hayward, who had won at bat last night but had to leave the game with a knee injury and officially Jason Hayward has been place on the injured list with a left knee bone bruise, so hopefully that's the extent of it. He can come
back quickly. But after the game last night, talked about the knee and most importantly talked about the team struggles just just kind of as a team, that baseball's kind of a long season. Just how do you feel that you guys have been playing carefull in last couple of weeks. I feel like we were playing the season. I will say, you know, I always do my best to keep it real. There have been times baseball wise, like
we could probably make a better baseball player, better baseball decision. But that also comes from, you know, wanting to do so much and trying to get everything back in one player or two plays, and that's not for you know, you gotta want to compensate for things. That's a part of it.
But you still have to go through these things throughout the regular season to figure out where you got to make adjustments and and also how to play through and but all in all, I think we've been doing a great job of playing through the things we've been dealing with in the group, and that's that's the name of the game. I happened to rub this storm, and I do still think you know, give another teams. We've been playing credit.
They've been playing really good baseball, but we have shown how you're gonna have to fight back. You're gonna have to figure out way to do that. And where they's store. All right, there's Jason Hayward. He's gonna help from the sideline, going on the iel with the left knee bone bruise. The Dodgers dropped two at three to Arizona. Before that, they had dropped two of three in San Francisco to the Giants. So the Dodgers need to
get back on track. And one of the best teams in baseball along with the Dodgers in the National League, Milwaukee Brewers in town for the start of a three game series. Dodgers fans and hamps, you're listening and experienced by downloading the iHeartRadio app and listening to Dodger games in HD. Take it with you on the goal of your mobile device. Now on the mound for the Dodgers, davids A goes one on one with Miguel Rojats. But up next we'll get you an injury report and we'll get the pregame thought to the manager Dave Roberts, how's he feeling about this team right now? And the roster moves they have to make. It's the Dodgers and the Brewers
on this Friday night, first pitch at seven ten. I'm Tim Katson. This is Los Angeles Dodgers Audio Network. This is Morongo Casino Dodgers Hunters game on your home for LA Dodgers Baseball. Maroango Casino Dodgers on deck in ten US as we lead up to first pitching Dodger Stadium, Dodgers and the Brewers, Maranggo Casino Resort and spop a Grand Slam for good times. Tyler Glass now on the mound. Aaron Savali will go from Milwaukee. First pitch at
sevent ten. It's the LA Dodgers Injury Report, presented by UCLA Healthy, official medical partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers about an hour ago. Make it official. Making some roster moves. They recalled outfielder James Outman and right handed pitcher Gus Varlan. They have option left handed picture Nick Ramirez to Triple A Oklahoma City, and Jason Hayward, who we just heard from
placed on the injured list officially with a left knee bone bruise. He joins Mookie Bets on the IL, yoshinobu Ya Momoto, Walker Buehler, Michael Grove, Max Munsey who is starting to work his way back but won't come back until the office All Star Break, Clayton Kershaw who is throwing again, Joe Kelly who had a minor league rehab assignment in Rancho Koukamonga just a couple of days ago. Bruce Dargraderol who was at Camelback Ranch in Arizona tried to work
his way back from his shoulder injury. Ryan Brasier, Tony Gonslin does to may All on the sixty day IL. All right, let's head back out to Dodger Stadium as we check in with the Dodgers Gibber anything else questions for Dave? Dave, can you just describe Dave? Can you talk about the pressure in the dugouts with Dave Roberts MRI. It was it's a leftnee. He's left knee contusion kind of aligned with hyper extension, so meniscus ligament intact. So it's just kind of it should be a week to two weeks,
but just to be safe, I l obviously we brought James. Uh so I think that we dodged the bullet with Jason James. You know what, he's been playing really well. I think, uh, you know, the average on base and slug is a little bit of some struggles versus left handed pitching, but verse right handed pitching, he's been fantastic. He's going to certainly play verse right, but there's going to be some right handers. I think as I look out that I'm going to give Vargas an opportunity as well
in left field work between him last. When James is playing, he'll be playing center field. SR. Paul Hayes will be in there when he's when he's he'll be in there every day. Though, Skipper, when your team hits a little bit of a low, what's the most important thing for you and them to remember? I think the most important thing to remember is it's a long season. There's ebbs and flows of a major league season, and
just make sure that the work is consistent. All right, there's Dave Roberts to have the dugout talking about the ebbs and flows of the season, the Dodgers right now, and a little bit of having lost two of three to San Francisco and just recently two of three to the Arizon Diamondbacks at home to start this homestand down the dugout brought to you by Service Titan. Dave Roberts is a tighten in his own right, and he's got a plan before his
team hits the field. You need one for your growing contracting business too. Let's Service Titan help you implement it. Learn more a Service Titan dot com. When we continue here on Dodgers on Deck, we'll check in with the David vats Hey. So we leave you up to first pitch, Dodgers and the Brewers and Tim Kases, Los Angeles Dodgers Audio Network. This is Marongo Casino, Dodgers on Deck on your home for the Blue All Season Law.
It's Dodgers and Brewers on this Friday night. Tyler Glass now on the mountain, start of a three game set. First bitch coming up at seventen joining Tim cats on Dodgers on deck. I accept everybody for who they are. This is Dodger insider David Basse. All right, David, Jason Hayward hurt knee injury, James Outman gets called up. What's the plan in right field? Now? Well, the Dodgers are going to play the matchup game in
the outfield. Andy poe Has is going to be out there, but it's going to be some sort of combination of James Outman, Miguel Vargas, Andy pot Has, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Chris Taylor out there in certain games. So that's the way. Dave Roberts is going to mix and match until uh, the Dodgers get some of these guys back healthy or you know, I was thinking just now, Tim, how to word this.
Obviously new players might be arriving on July thirtieth or before. Miguel Vargas he needs it, bet David, you had him on the pregame show just this last past series. I saw your social media some video of him earlier today. What's the plan for Miguel? Yeah, it sounds like the Dodgers are preparing Miguel Vargas to get more time at third base, especially with the injury
to Max Munsey taking longer than expected. You know, when I talked to you the other day, Tim after Monthsy shared with me just how things were going. It sounded optimistic that Monsey was going to return shortly after the All Star break. I did not see him today. I saw him a little bit yesterday. So Dave Roberts is proceeding as if they are not getting Max Munsey back anytime soon. And that's the thought process behind having Miguel Vargas starting
to take round balls again at third base. That's where the Dodgers had Vargas originally as he was coming up in the organization. Then they moved in the first base, then they had him take a fly balls and left field, and as you know, last year he was the Dodgers starting second baseman. So that's a lot for a young guy to go back to on the fly.
But Miguel Vargas, he had a different vibe about him today because he knows he's going to get at bats, and he has told me from the get go he does not care where he plays as long as he gets four at bats a game. Dama's driven by your Southern California Ford dealers for great offers on a Ford Bronco Sport or any Ford model. During fourth of July, Celiphon, all right, David, James out We we mentioned he is
back, recalled from Triple A Oklahoma City. He struggled before being sent down to Triple A. In thirty eight games there, David, he had a high ops near one thousand. He had eight doubles, he had nine home runs, twenty one ribies. Seemed like offensively he got back into a groove. Yeah, he's cooled off or recently he got off to a hot start. But it says a lot about James Outman that he did not sulk at Triple A and really wallow and being sent down. Instead, he tried to
put in work to try to find his way back here. And Dave Roberts said from the get go, even when Outman was red hot at Oklahoma City, he was not going to be called up just to play sparingly. It was going to take an injury to somebody to get Outman regular at bats before they called him up. So, unfortunately for the Dodgers, there has been a rash of injuries, including Jason Hayward. As you know, you heard
Dave Roberts talk about the knee Brews on his left knee. So that's the opportunity not only for outman but also Miguel Vargas, and I thought Jason Hayward really hit it on the head. A lot of these guys filling in for these injured players are trying to do too much at the plate. Nobody can replace Max Munsey and his power and just what he does on this roster. Nobody can replace. That's what Mookie Betts does. So don't try to be those guys. Just do as much as you can, can't as much as
you can to keep that line moving. Dave, real quick, I heard you talk about on the post game last night. You talked about it a couple of times here on the pregame during this last series against Arizona. Milwaukee's coming. The Brewers are coming. They're battling for a top two spots in the National League. This is a big test this weekend for the Dodgers. This sense around the clubhouse and being on the field the last couple hours,
is there an extra excitement for this series? I guess not excitement, but I feel like the Dodgers are trying to take inventory in their own clubhouse and holding each other accountable to play better than what they've played in the last two series. They've given up way too many runs, they haven't been able to deliver. They've only scored twice in their last seventeen innings. I just feel like the Dodgers are taking a look in the mirror and trying to find a
way to play better baseball more than worry about the Brewers. That's how we feel the Dodgers are playing these three games against the Brewers, but also after this series is over, the Dodgers head out on the road to play the best team in the National League in the Phillies. So back to back series
against two other first place teams in the division. So that's I don't want to call it some sort of test, but certainly the Dodgers are gonna have to play much better than they have the last two weeks to get a series win here against the Brewers and certainly in Philly, no doubt about it. Dave, great stuff. We'll check back you with you in a little bit coming up here on Morongo Casino. Dodgers on dak will here from Miguel Rojas.
We'll dive deeper into this pitching matchup with Tyler Glass now on the mountain. But up next You're Dodgers Magical Moment leading you up to Dodgers and Brewers on this Friday night. Well, the Dodgers taking on the Brewers tonight. We go back to Game seven of the twenty eighteen NLCS Dodgers taking on the Brewers Saturday, October twentieth at Miller Park there in Milwaukee. The Brewers jumped out to the early one nothing lead thanks to a solo home run from Christian Yelich off Walker Bueller in the first inning, but then Cody Bellinger got the Dodgers the lead in the second with the two run home run, a great catch from Chris Taylor in
the fifth inning to rob Christian Yelich of extra base hit, and then Yasiel puig at three run a home run in the top half of the sixth inning gave the Dodgers a five to one lead. In the ninth, the Dodgers closing it out two balls, two strikes, two out. Bottom of the night, Dodgers five to one. Kershata Mustakas swung on and missed strike three, and for the second consecutive season, the Dodgers are going to the World
Series. Six years in a row. They won the National League West, three years in a row to the National League Championship Series, down two years in a row to the World Series. The Dodgers win the National League Pennant. Dodgers defeat the Milwaukee Brewers in Milwaukee, five to one in Game seven of the twenty eighteen NLCS. Cody Bellinger was named the NLCS MVP, becoming

The start of a three game weekend sets homestand continues. Tyler Glass now on the mound. First pitch coming up at seven to ten. Dodgers fans. Start your future at a California community college. And now joined by David Bassey, here's LA Dodgers broadcaster and World Series Champion Dodger Rick Rick. The Dodgers have a chance now to separate themselves from the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL playoff picture. Yeah, one game separates them right now. There's still a lot of water that has to go underneath the bridge, but the Dodgers need to
get some runs across that bridge, and that's not the case. You start to look at what has happened, or really what has not happened. And Tim Nevert and I will talk about it a little bit later on in the pregame show and certainly in the ballgame itself, But you start to look at the last four games the Dodgers have played. They're one and three. They have been out hit David Vassey fifty four hits to thirty two. They've also
been outscored thirty six runs to seventeen. The Dodgers have had thirty one opportunities with a runner in scoring position and a bat, and opposing teams have had fifty four in the same period of time in those four games. And whether you're wearing a tie and a jacket because you're also doing a television today are not Those are numbers to be concerned about, mister Vesse. And you hope
that Tyler Glass now can stop the bleeding. Today, Rick because starting pitching is been a real big key to the Dodgers success or not as much success this year. We talk every day, right, what have I said about saying we hope, we hope. No, we know that glass Now is going to do it. However, you know, you start to look at what he has done in the pass. He's faced the Brewers six games, two starts. You know, that's when he's with the Pittsburgh Pirates. That's
how far you have to go back. So different teams, different times, no question about that. But for glass Now has to find more consistency in the strike zone. You know. The other thing I looked at with glass Now, especially with runners on base. You know he's on corked eleven wild pitches already. Yeah, I guess that's the spiking of the curveball, right, Rick, yep, yep. So we'll find out how the curve ball
is going when he is on. I mean he is. He's a very uncomfortable at bat, which is something the Dodgers did not do with Christian Walker. They basically gave him room, sir is for three games. Do you really want to go back and look at that, Rick, No, I don't want to look at it. I'll just talk about it because it's less painful. Sounds good. Hey, James Outman is back with the Dodgers. Jason Hayward going on the injured list. Outman obviously did not sulk at Oklahoma
City. He took it as a challenge to get better. Yeah, sad news that Jason Hedward gets injured and trying to leap up over the fence and bring back what proved to be a home run ball and the knee itself. Now for Autman, it's a chance. There's two different types of young players that get sent down. Those that are mad and pout, and it takes them a period of time before they realize, hey, the only way I'm going to get back to the big leagues is to kick it into gear.
And then there's the other type that James Outman follows into that. He took it as a challenge and he was open to it, and he went and he worked hard. Yes, it was going to take an injury in order for him to get back up here. Started off with some very good numbers, then they kind of curtailed. The biggest question for James Outman is not defense. He's had a couple of odd based running gaffes since he's been at
the big league level. But I think the big thing is right now contact and he has to make more consistent contact than what we have seen the first two trips up to the big leagues. We always talk about opportunity, and it's unfortunate that injuries have given some Dodger players opportunities. Miguel Vargas has been waiting for his It seems like he is going to get some regular at bats.
Yeah, he will, and needed because they need the defense. I mean, there's no ifens and bunts has been kind of a sign in police name that tune at third base, and tonight it is going to be Chris Taylor who starts at third base. So the defense on the left side of the infield has been well, kind of questionable here and there. They do
an atequa John, They do it a very good job. Miguel Rojas is one of the biggest glove guys you can find in baseball as far as being able to catch the ball, catch the ball consistently and then make the throws as well. By the way, Mookie Betts was looking out at shortstop early this afternoon. No, he does not have a glove on the left hand, which he has the other fractured left hand. But he was having baseball in hand, going through footwork as if he was fielding the ball at shortstop,
and then working on the arm. That's the big thing too. Keep the legs ready, keep the arm ready. Can't swing the bat yet, but I wonder if he is also going to get to a situation even before he can swing the bat. Get in the cage and just see pitches. See pitches, track pitches, find out strike zone not strike zone, even though he can't swing the bat. That'd be a good exercise. Hey, I'll relay that message, Ray, please do yeah, because most of my
messages fall upon deaf ears down there. Anyway, we'll figure that out. Rick, we'll send it back to you in the studio. Didn't do it because you're wearing a tie today. Either way, I'm always listening it at you, all right, Thank you guys. Dodgers Baseball's brought to you by Speedy Cash, official sponsor of every LA Weekend. Find out more at Speedey Cash dot com. This this high and touched the Dodgers and Brewers getting set for first pitch, and this is a great series for shortstops Willie Thomas on the Brewers side, but the king of defensive shortstops here with the Dodgers, Miguel Rojas. Thanks a lot for the time.
Yeah, no problem, man, That's what everybody knows. Trying to I mean, trying to get this thing going, you know, like we we haven't been playing really good the last couple of days, but I feel like this is a great opportunity for us to close out the homestand with a serious win against a rival that they're they're playing pretty good baseball too, So
it's gonna be a fun and really enjoyable series. Miguel, You obviously understand the grind of one hundred and sixty two games, but how important is it
not to allow complacency to set in. Yeah, I feel like as a as a professional athletes, we have to come every single day and and do our part and to work at it kind of be prepared for the game, regardless of like how long the season is going to be, and I mean what part of the part of the season we are right now, like knowing that the All Star break is coming and we're gonna need those days, you know, to kind of relax and set the mind for the second half of
the year. But at the end of the day, we can't really stop working. We have to come to a ball part every single day with the mentality of winning this baseball game. So it's really important. It doesn't matter what what kind of uh of a day do you having off the field, you have to come here and give your best to the team to prepare them be ready for the game. Jason Heyward said something last night after the game. He believes some of the guys having to fill in for the injured players
have been trying to do too much. How important is it not to try to do that? It's really hard not to, you know, like when you get an opportunity to play and you get an opportunity to help the team in a daily basis, I feel like you are you feel the pressure and you feel the necessity of getting your job done. I don't think it's a it's a bad thing, you know, like we're gonna have to face that,
We're gonna have to delivered on the top moments. And I feel like with the with the injuries that we've been having throughout the last couple of months of the season, Uh that's gonna create a character on players who are start the year on the on the bench or on the on a different role. I feel like this is our time to be the next guy up. You know, Uh, James Allman is going to have a new opportunity to come here impact the game, and we all believe in him, and we all
believe and everybody that's out there in the on the field. So for me, it's not it's not it's not necessarily a bad thing that you feel pressure to do your job, no doubt. Got to have that urgency. And
Miguel Rojas certainly has been a consummate teammate, on selfish teammate. And I'm not sure you heard what Mookie Betts had to say in the booth a couple of nights ago about Miguel Rojas. He talked about how karma is paying you forward now after your unselfishness putting in the time with him when he was playing shortstop learning shortstop. What does that mean to you that he still appreciates the
time you put in to help him be a better player. That's the best, because I mean when I when I decided to do it, I decided because I just want him to feel comfortable and to feel better at shortstop.
I know it's not an easy task. He said it that he's one of the like the hardest thing that he have to do on a baseball field and during a baseball season, And it's not a really easy thing to do when you have to go to short stop and be the best that you can be in that position by yourself, you know, Like he we have like a
great group of coaches, great group of people. I know he has his own kind of core on his family and his friends, but at the same time, you're going to need your teammates to actually like help you keep you keep you accountable, and at the same time like help you to kind of like overcome little things, you know, and be next to you when you're not like doing so good as well. So for me, it was never like a sacrifice that I did because everything that I did with him helped me
to stay in shape for this moment. And I think my Boddy's charged my my mining shart because I never took a game a day off from working and from like doing what I need to do, and that guy right there make me work extremely hard because he's never satisfied with what he have. I love that Miguel Rojas, like I said, this is a series of the best shortstops in baseball. How do you look at a series like this when you got Willie Damis playing your position. Obviously he's younger than you, but certainly
you can appreciate how good he is. Well. First off, I really enjoy when I have to go against the best, and I feel like Willie's been on top of the game for a long time now, you know, he found it seems like he found a home in Milwaukee on Leach. Kind of his potential offensively, but he's always being a defensive first guy. For me, when when I get the opportunity to play against him in Tampa, I always see his ability to actually make great plays, but he always make
the routine plays as well. So that's kind of what you want to as a short step, you know, being able to make every routine play and at the end of the day when they need, when the team needs a clutch play out there, a shortstop. He's one of the guys that I kind of look up to because he's he's really good out there, and on my side, I feel like, really proud that with thirty five years old, I can actually compete against a guy like him in the in his mid
twenties. That's that's something that I really take pride of. Hey, it's not thirty five years old, it's thirty five years young with wayn Miguel Rojas is playing this year. Thanks a lot for the time, and obviously your words speak volumes to appreciate the time. Thank you by appreciate it. There he is the best, not only on the field but off the field. One of the great people you'll meet. I'll send it back to you in

dial in the strike zone, to do it consistently. That kerb ball has been spiked, in fact, eleven wild pitches already for glassnow in the start city's hand when he's throwing strikes, it has been very difficult for hitters to even put the ball into play. High strikeouts, not that many walks. But for Glass now again, consistency, command of the strike zone. Yeah, he's gone one hundred and three innings so far this year. That's seventeen
inning shy of matching his career high of one hundred and twenty. And we're not yet at the All Star break. So we've seen a much more durable version of Toddler glassmen.
