Shortly we'll check in with Teoscar Hernandez and in just a few minutes we'll head out to the Galpamotors broadcast booth. And
here from Rick Monday and Steven Nelson. Well last night in New York, the Dodgers fans overtook Yankee Stadium while ta Oscar took over the game. Gavin Stone got to start the young right hander with another really good outing. He pitched into the sixth thinning, officially five and two thirds, two runs,
eight hits, six punch outs. Stone pitched around trouble in the first, then in the top of the second, the Dodgers got on the board thanks to Taoscar Hernandez, now last night's hero, ti Oscar Hernandez drills the first pitch. He watches it to left field, into the Dodger bullpen and gone Toyo tez Off. It gives the Dodgers the first lead of the game, his fourteenth home run of the year. They could get one nothing la Hey solo blast for Taoscar, his fourteenth of the season, Dodgers up one to
nothing. In the third. The game was tied in one when schoey Otani and RBI single the left that scored Keiko Hernandez Dodgers a two to one lead. The Yankees would answer right back, though Aaron Judge a solo home run just getting over the wall and left, and the game was again to two. In the fifth, the Dodgers retook the lead on a solo home run from Key k Hernandez is fourth of the season. Dodgers up three to two. In the sixth, ta Oscar Hernandez I fuel Their's choice. Dodgers took
a fort to two lead. Then in the eighth, the Dodgers busted in wide open bases loaded for you know who. Tioscar bases loaded only one out the two to two Hernandez with a fly ball left center field, tore the bullpen, didn't you? Tioscar Hernandez has done it again. Ay Grand Slam breaks it open here for the Dodgers in the Bronx Grand Slam for Taoscar Hernandez. Dodgers up big and they weren't done. In the ninth, Freddie Freeman a two run double. Andy Pie has walked with the bases loaded, Dodgers
are up eleven to two. Aaron Judge would connect on a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth. Too little, too late, didn't matter. The Dodgers still get the blowout, winning the Bronx. They beat the Yankees eleven to three. Taoscar and to have yourself a night two for four a home run Grand Slam six RBI ty in a career hig Gavin Stone improves his seven to two. He has now won three straight starts, five of
his last six. Dodgers with the win, now forty one and twenty five on this season, They've got an eight game lead over the Padres, a nine game lead over the Giants, and a ten and a half game lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks of the Division. Dodgers and Yankees. They wrap up this three game series with Sunday Night Baseball in the Bronx Tyler Glass now on the Mountain with more. Let's head out to Yankee Stadium the gallupin Motors Broadcast
booth as we welcome in Rick Monday and Steven Nelson. Guys, thank you Tim. We got a beautiful sunny Sunday in front of us at Yankee Stadium. Clouds are present, wind is blowing, but we are looking forward to Sunday Night baseball MO and a chance for the Dodgers to sweep the Yankees and make some history. The Dodgers have not swept New York since the nineteen sixty
three World Series. It's been a minute, it's been a minute, minute and a half, and for this has this series lived up to the billboards coming in absolutely. I mean, you look at the last night's ball game, the Dodgers explode. Granted, the Dodger fans will say, yes, this was a better game last night than what the New York Yankee fans will say, but game one, I mean you look at eleven innings two to one, Dodgers victorious and that one, and what a series it has been
for Tascar Hernandez the Grand Slam last night at two home runs. He has been absolutely lights out at the last fifteen games. To Oscar Hernandez has hit three twenty eight, his bat is smoking dot and he's had himself a series. He has been the man of the weekend for the Dodgers, that's for sure. The Dodgers have won three in a row. Now, they've handed the Yankees their first series loss since April. They were nine to ozho one
in series before coming into this one. So now to get this third victory, how important do you feel it is for this club? Again, we know we're in June, but Dave Robertson has been open about how this is a big series for both teams, A shot in the arm series, is it a benchmark series. Who's to say, because there's a lot of baseball left, But what do you think about this opportunity given that they've already won
the series. I think it's a good one. You know, sometimes if you look at some antics, how does it apply to a ball club? Carry over? And the reason I bring that just getting go off the elevator, coming up the breast box and listening to the piked in pregame talk. For Aaron Boone, the manager of the New York Yankees, when asked about this series, he used the words salvage talking about winning the last game. Well, the Dodgers are thinking about sweet, so you've had two different interpretations
of how they're approaching this. I think one of the things that has surprised me about this series, and we talked more in the next segment, is the pitching. I mean, the pitching has been well. In Game one was off the charts, good from both sides. Yesterday had all of the billboards again with the pitching in If you look at this game when todays we'll be talking about this pitching matchup, this is a good day to not be a hitter, because it can't be a whole lot of fun or hope late
today. No, Tyler Glass Now will have the ball against Luis Heel, who is not only a front runner for American Rookie of the Year, he's a candidate for American League Cy Young. We expect to find hits to be at a premium tonight. And speaking of pitching, remember our reference the last
time the Dodgers swept the Yankees, the nineteen sixty three World Series. Pitching rain supreme in that one for the Dodgers Coofax Drysdale padres Well, maybe Tyler Glass now can help them make some more history here in the Bronx with a strong outing. We'll talk about that pitching matchup when we check back in a little bit later. Tim back to you, all right, Thanks, Nelly Is we call you down to first pitch. Dodger fans, get your game
day meal on. It's Shaky's Pizza Parlor. What are your Shaky's Pizza, Chicken and Mojo's right now at Shaky's dot Com. Coming up here on Dodgers on Tech, you'll hear from the Dodger manager Dave Roberts. We'll check in with David Vasse throughout the pregame show. We'll dive deeper to this pitch. Chief matchup up next O you're Otani, rewind and we'll hear from tay Oscar Hernandez. Man what a weekend he is having in the Bronx last night six
Ribbies Grand Slam home run Dodgers blew out the Yankees last night. They go for the sweep. On Sunday Night Baseball, first pitch of New York at four oh five. Thanks for being with us. I'm Tim Kayse's Los Angeles Dodgers Audio network is Lorono Casino, Dodgers On, Dodgers on deck y'all on the official home of LA Dodgers Baseball Dodgers in the Yankees Sunday Night Baseball, Tyler Glass now Luise Heel, the pitching matchup, first pitch from Yankee Stadium
was coming up at four oh five. This is the free why as far as the new shift restrictions will allow, there is a big hole. There's the sixth hole on the left side of the infield, and Joey O'tani has shown great ability to go the opposite way and that's exactly what he does lining up base hit to left field. That scores kick Hernandez and the Dodgers are back on top. The RBI single for show Hey Otani is forty first RBI
at this season, makes it a two to one game. Great piece of hitting from show Heyo Tani takes the outside pitch to the left field for the RBI single. He goes one for four with two runs scored last night, on base a couple of times, including the walkout. Hitt him three to eleven on the season and the Dodgers eleven to three victory over the Yankees last night. Uh O Toni rewind brought to by eto inns Ootja, Japan's number one Green teams available your local Diso stores, Amazon and eto in dot com.
That's it o e M dot Com. Otani drove in a run early in the game, but last night belonged to Gavin Stone on the mountain ta Oscar Hernandez at the plate. Tascar Hernandez had a home run a grand Slam, drove in six last night as he is red hot in New York, helping the Dodgers win the first two games of this series and afterwards caught up with David Besse tail I saw the Dominican Republic flag out here at Yankee stadium. How great of a night was it? It's incredible. Uh, this
feeling is unbelievable, nothing like it. I enjoy the best that I can and I got a lot of family here, so uh it was a great one. I don't usually see a lot of emotion from you after a home run. Why did you show so much after the second one? The grand slam? I mean, you know, grand slams are like rare, especially in that situation. I just let everything out, enjoy, go with the team in a better position. Uh some week and win the Bowl game.
Tell you in that second at bat against Tommy Kinley when you hit the grand slam, threw a lot of change ups down in the zone where you looking soft. Yeah, you know, he's a he's a video that he draws in the gene up. He got a trust in and his change up he's a pretty good one. I got a good one in the strike zone and I just hit hard. Hey. I love when the sun the flower seeds are coming your way. You started it and you got it twice tonight.
Congratulations, Thank you, appreciate it. There he is the man. Ta Oscar Hernandez with a million dollars smile, Taascar Hernandez last night has every reason to smile with the six Ribbies, including the Grand Slam last night in the eighth innings, the Dodgers go on and win it eleven to three. But up next we'll get you an injury report, and well here for the manager, Dave Roberts himself. So we lead you up to Sunday Night Baseball from the Bronx, Dodgers and Yankees. I'm Tim Kats's Los Angeles Dodgers on your network. This is Marongo Casino, Dodgers on Deck on your home for the Blue All Season Low.
It's the Dodgers the Yankees. Tyler glassnow on the mound and the series finale. Dodgers are going for the sweep at Yankee Stadium. First bitch coming up at four oh five. Dodgers fans at Hanser listening experience to Dodger games by downloading the iHeartRadio app and listening at HD. It's all powered by la Care Health Plans serving all Angelinos lacare dot org. Joining Tim Kats on Dodgers
on Deck. I accept everybody for who they are. This is Dodger inside there, David Bassi, all right, DVI Tyler Glass Now, I mean you talk about one guy that probably has a case to get mad at his teammates. The last month, they haven't given him any run support. Yeah, while he's been in the game, Tim, the Dodgers have not scored since May fourth. That's a streak of Glassnow's last five starts, and he was asked about it after the game in Pittsburgh. He was asked about it
leading up to this start. But obviously he's not letting that affect him. He's reasoned it by saying that early in the season he was getting more than enough run support. So it's evening itself out. But you would love to see a little bit more balance. And I guess for the Dodger offense tonight, even though they have scored thirty runs in their last four games, they're going to face a tough pitcher tonight in Luis Hill, who throws ninety five
plus. But the Dodgers' offense, as far as confidence goes, is as high as I've seen it in the last couple of weeks. Well, speaking of that offense, DV, it kind of feels like the offense has come alive. Maybe after that first game of the road trip, Yeah, really has. Like I mentioned, thirty runs in the last four games. The Dodgers pitching in defense let them down a little bit in Pittsburgh there, but the offense has come alive. And it's not a coincidence that ta Oscar Hernandez's
bet has come alive during the last four games. Last night obviously a career night, two home runs with that Grand Slam, But he has been a big part of this Dodger offense. When it's going, he's going. He leaves the team with fifteen home runs and he leads the team with forty eight RBIs. So you know, you don't want to put it on one guy, but the facts are pitchers are being very careful with those first four hitters in the Dodger lineup, and ta Oscar Hernandez has more at bats this year
on the Dodgers with runners on base and runners in scoring position. When he delivers the Dodger scorer when they don't, when he doesn't, it makes it a taller task to ask the seven eight nine hitters to deliver another guy who kind of feels like he is getting hot again. He was always good, but you know, always has a lot of pressure on himself as Freddy Freeman. Yeah, look, everybody's wondering what's going on with Freddy Last year he
hit three point fifty the year before, run around there as well. He's only hitting in the two nineties this year, Tim, And everybody's wondering, what's wrong with Freddie Freeman. Thing's wrong with Freddy Freeman. Has he gotten red hot like he has in the past. No, But if you look at the first seven games in the month of June, Freddie Freeman is starting to heat up. He's hitting three sixty this month, looking to add on to it. And his dad was at the game yesterday and that is his
best hitting coach. So it's not that far away for Freddie Freeman to get that feel that. Honestly, Tim, he has not had at the plate going back to last September. David is driven by the Ford F Series of America, America's best selling truck for forty seven years and counting. Ford gives you the freedom of choice gas hybrid electric head of your Southern California at four dealers and find yours Ford F Series built tough, all right, Dave,
We talked about it on Friday. The atmosphere at the Yankee Stadium. We saw the large contingent of Dodger fans make their way in yesterday before Game two of this series. We saw the exodus last night, as Dwayn McDonald pointed out during the game last night in the eighth inning after that Grand Slam. Overall, there's a huge Dodger presence. What's the vibe though from Yankee fans
about this Dodger team possibly sweeping them? Well, I took the subway in with our own producer engineer Dwayne McDonald today and there were Yankee fans on the train getting down to the Bronx early and they were honestly embarrassed by their performance the first two games. And the consensus we're hearing from everybody that follows the Yankees that this offense is not the same without Jan Soto, who leads the
American League in every single offensive category. He is not in the starting lineup again, but there is a possibility he could be used as a pinch hitter at some point in time in this game. Anthony Rizzo, the former Cub who's been struggling, is also bench today. DJ Lemayhew moves to first base. But by the way, that subway ride from Grand Central Station to Yankee Stadium, it got de railed, Tim for some reason. We were dropped
off at the stop before the one for Yankee Stadium. So Dwayne McDonald and I were standing in the middle of the Bronx waiting for our uber and I have not seen Carr's double parked in a very long time, if ever in real life. But that's how they live out here in the Bronx. It is a concrete jungle where dreams are made of. No doubt about that, Dave. We appreciate it. We'll check back with you about that. It's the song though, it's just fishing the lyrics, right, song, Just
a song. That's just a song, all right. We'll check back with you in a couple of minutes. So we break down this pitching matchup. Classes can fill up quickly, so enroll today and I can go to college dot com and now joined by David Basse here's LA Dodgers broadcast there and World Series champion Dodger Rick Monday. Rick, the Dodgers already have won the series. They're looking to be greedy tonight and sweep a big three game series at
Yankee Stadium. Yeah, and I don't think the Dodgers want to stop here. This is not their their destination. Their destination is to get on the plane with three wins under their belts in this series. You know, here's an interesting number to look at. The New York Yankees during regular season play had not been swept by a National League team at home in a three game series. Ever, the New York Mets swept a two game series here at
Yankee Stadium May twenty thirteen, and also in May in twenty fourteen. It's nice to go home and say I love LA instead of everybody spreading the news out here in New York. Did you happen to read at all on Alex Verdugo's comments after the ballgame? Now pantone two ninety four. We saw the video and you saw the video two. As they came marching into the stadium. On the outside dash had a police escort, one of New York City's
finest in a police card. The lights were on. It basically helped move because I mean it was a mass amount of people that were coming in very calmly, very orderly. And Verdugo after the game was asked us says, hey, what about the Dodger fans are out there, he says, I'll tell you one thing, they're really loud. Yeah, he heard them out
there in left field. And he took responsibility for a ball that went over his head that was not ruled in error in the sixth inning, I believe, off the bat of Freddie Freeman. Yeah, there was another ball that went over his head too. He had no chance to get that one. How about to Oscar Hernandez, I mean, my goodness. I mean, first of all, with the Grand Slam, he had two home runs hit the ball game. So now that was his fifth career Grand Slam with bases
loaded. In his career, Hernandez is hitting three twenty two and his bat has absolutely caught on fire. He has been one of the more under the radar pickups by the Dodgers. He did not get a multi year offer from other teams and the Dodgers picked him up for one season. And when you talk about the length of a lineup break, he certainly has done that to a certain extent. Yeah, so you're ready to leave New York, Well, we were just here to play the Mets, then go back home.
After that thirteen and a half hour fiasco. Being on the plane, there's a manicals and mechanicals and everything else. And then at home with the games and coming back into New York there was a parade downtown not too far from the hotel this morning and end of the afternoon, So that kind of has slowed things down. You ready to leave the Big Apple? No, I love it. I thrive in the Big Apple. I love the intensity. The pressure cooker. Yeah, you thrive just about everywhere, so it will
work out. Interesting. Also, each of these first two games had been sellout crowds. There was a lot of emphasis on what was going to happen with this series, a lot of billboard material if you were and quite fanking. I think has gone even maybe above what that billboard has been. Certainly the first game of this series that went eleven to Dodgers prevailed in that one, thanks again to ti Oscar Hernanez, the two run double that coming in
the top of the eleventh inning. And then yesterday, well, Dodger fans enjoyed it more than the Yankee fans. And here today I've made the comment that this is going to be a rugging out it. I would not think that this game is going to take a lot of time because I'm not certain how many baseballs are actually going to be hit. Yeah, you're right. I felt like the first two games of this series, Rick were in the dodgers favor, But tonight, as you mentioned Luis Heel, he's a hard
throwing pitcher and the Dodgers have had issues with high velocity. Yeah, they have one guy that has not had difficulty at high velocity. We'll talk about it during the game. Is it Mookie Betts who now has caught fire again after going one for twenty four. He's now in the last three games four for eleven. But here's my point. Found this number earlier today. Mookie Betts against fast balls ninety five and above is it three p forty eight.
So he's handled the high cheese as hitters would refer to it. He's handled that very well. And if you're looking at Heel, he has averaged he's the ninth highest velocity constantly at ninety six point five. Who else is in that group, Well, he's pitching for the Dodgers today, that being Tyler Glasnow. And this is going to be interesting because glass Now has allowed the second lowest batting average against in base Bowl. Is the starting pitcher that qualifiers
the number of innings. Who's number one the Dodgers should be facing him. That's Luise Heal and be nice for Tyler Glass. Now to get some run support. Well, let's see if the Dodgers can get him some runs and a win and a happy flight. Rick, Oh, it'll be better. No, that's not like let's see if No, let's go out and do all right, let's do them, not us. We'll do the broadcasting. We'll send it back to you in the city. Guys down below, they
may be icing some thumbs after the games, both sides. Okay, you don't have to do that anymore. Rick, we'll send it back to you in the studio. Are they slot guys. And now what will likely be vast fielding insults from a Dodger player. It's an engagement of endearment. This is high and tight. The Dodger bullpen has been stellar all season long, and a big part of it is their left hander Alex Vesia.
Thanks a lot for the time. Great to be with you in the concrete jungle of New York. Thanks Davi. Happy to be here. You got me, had a good time. We got through oute about ten minutes before we go and play some catch and feeling good. Yeah, So a daylight today, coming off the high of last night. How is it for you to be out here. It's great. Let's do it again tonight. Yeah. I love that attitude got to in the bullpen, and that's the goal is to be ready day in and day out. You know it's yes day
was a good one. Today we have the opportunity to do it again. Am I allowed to ask you about last night? Sure? Absolutely? What you got? Well? I thought it was so impressive. Number One, you come in with the bases loaded in the sixth inning, no margin for error against one of their better hitters and Anthony Volpi. How do you manage that knowing that there's nowhere else to put them one pitch at a time.
You know, that was basically my mentality. It was keeping the heart rate down, making sure I was, you know, going to my strengths. And I felt like Will and I were on the same page right from the get go, and you know, we executed some pretty good pitches, got them to pop out. So for me, all I was looking for in that situation was one out, didn't I didn't care how it came. Yeah, all good. That's gotta be the biggest key to being a pitcher,
and certainly a relief pitcher, not getting too far ahead Yep. Absolutely try to stay in the moment. Like I said, one pitch at a time, right, and you know everybody loves you. But yeah, it's you know, for myself, not focusing on the pitch before or even what pitch I'm gonna throw in two or three pitches. It's basically the pitch at hand, making sure it's executed to my best abilities. Alex Vessi as our guest and front of Sunday Night Baseball Yankee Stadium. The guy that just called you
the goat is pretty good himself. Blake trying in. You're surrounded with Daniel Hudson as well, Evan Phillips. What a great group of guys you have. Yeah, absolutely veterans that I've picked their brain on multiple occasions over the last two three years. They have definitely helped me in more ways than one, you know, And the thing that I cherish the most is that they
don't sugarcoat any thing. You know, They've been blunt, they've been brutal at times, but it's that's what great friends do, you know, that they tell you how they see it and and and sometimes how it is. You know, it makes me look myself in the mirror and and you know where I have to make the hard decisions and go through you know, go through hard times, right Like that's you know, I've I've had failure, I've had success. You know. I feel like I've done a little bit
of everything. You know, and you know, when things are going good, you stay on your routine and it's you know, like I said, it's clicking, you know, one one inning at a time, one pitch at a time. We just take it day by day. Man. It's uh, you can't think too far ahead, you know, it's we got to win today. What can you say about Blake trying and being back this year and Daniel Hudson being back this year, it just seems like that bullpen
is just nothing tangible, but just something a little bit more stronger. Yeah, I mean we with Huddy specifically, I got to play with them last the last couple of years. We we thought last year was going to be his last year. And you know, we had shared a moment last year after the playoffs, and and then when I saw it on Twitter that he was back, I immediately called him and I couldn't you know, I was
super happy to have him back. Blake, you know, it when when guys go through injuries, you know, sometimes it's out of their control, you know, And for what Blake has had to deal with the last two years, I couldn't be more happy for him getting back out on the mound and then having success right out right out the gate. You know. We we used him in a couple really tight spots right out the gate, and
the guys just meant for it, you know. He he does his thing, and gosh, it's it's it's always fun to go on Twitter after his outings and see all the nasty pitches that that pitching ninja will will post because it literally it doesn't look real, you know, and it's yeah, it's one hundred percent video game. So yeah, he's he's a special human And yeah, I gave him a lot of credit, a lot of credit. Alex VESSI is our guest before I let you go, Like you said,
it's day to day. You're only as good as your last pitch or lest outings. So what's the vibe when you go out and play catch and the vibe in that bullpen tonight knowing that you've already won this series. You guys have done a great job all year. What can you describe just the vibe in that bullpen. Yeah, so we're I mean, we'll go play catch well, you know, make sure everybody's you know, feeling good. I'll talk with Barto and Connor about about some pitching stuff. Maybe see if I'm
hot or not tonight. That that'll be decided a little bit later. But you know, the vibes are good in the bullpen. Vibes are really good, man. We we love the attention that we've been getting lately, you know, with with Mookie and the guys that, you know, when they do hit a double, they say, what's up to us out in the
bullpen? Like, you know, that's cool, you know, because we don't get to be in the dugout where, you know, for for too long, whether it's in the first inning or it's after we're done pitching, you know. So yeah, to have to have that that little uh we'll call it the spotlight, right. It's fun, man. We have a good time and you know, it's fun out there. We've got some good guys. Yeah, you do. Great team, Alex Vesia. So happy you've been such a big part of this team the last three or four years
and keep it rolling. Thank you. Thank you. I gotta get to catch Blay. I'll talk at you. See all right, there he goes. Alex Vesia out with this boys in the bullpen. We'll send it back to you in the studio. Thanks a loud DV. Thanks Alex. He has tossed all these six innings that allowed one or zero runs in seven consecutive starts, becoming the first Yankee pitcher in franchise history to ever accomplish that feat. So he is really good.
A hard throwing right hander. Luise Heel facing Tyler Glass now six and four, two ninety three ERA thirty year old right hander making his fourteen start last time out six innings, one run, three hits, nine strikeouts and a no decision. He leads the major leagues in strikeouts with one hundred and four. The Dodgers have not scored for him in the last five games. He's facing the Yankees for the ninth time in his career, first time as
a Dodger. He's four and two with fifteen earned runs on thirty one hits, sixty three strikeouts, twenty one walks. That's a two seventy four ere Dodgers Yankees on Sunday Night Baseball from the Bronx were fifteen minutes away from first pitch. Keys to the game. Our next I'm Tim Kats's Los Angeles Dodgers audio notwork as we were saying, yes. Is Marongo Casino Dodgers on jack on the official home of La Dodgers Baseball, Dodgers and Yankees. Tyler Glass
now on the mound, first pitch coming up at four to ten. Dodgers fans and hansher listening and experience by downloading the iHeartRadio app and listening in HD. It's all powered by Lacare Health Plan serving all Angelinos Lacare dot or. Before first pitch, let's head back out to the booth at the Yankee Stadium Rick Monday and Steven Nelson, Guys, thanks, jam back here with Rick Monday. We are getting closer. We are getting excited for Game three of
the series two kickoff. The first two games. Oh boy, what a bar that has been set, especially Night one, that extra inning victory for the Dodgers. I mean there were some five thousand Dodger fans here in attendance for game number two seeing what turned out to be a blowout behind Tioscar Hernandez
with another strong knight six RBIs tying a career high for him. And now we look forward to Tyler Glass. Now hopefully he can get some runs MO, because there has been hardly any run support for him the last five times out. I think in postgame we're going to be taking inventory of thumbs on both sides, and by thumbs, I'm talking about hitters getting jammed because I said earlier this is probably not a good night to make your living with a
bat in your hand. Oh it may prove a little bit differently, but my goodness, when you start to look at it. First of all, for glass Now, the last five starts he's had, while his record is misleading oh to three, consider the fact in those five starts the offense has been held to two runs or less in four of those five outings that he's had. The last time we saw him was in Pittsburgh, his return to Pensee Park, and he just made one mistake, a home run to Jacksoninsky.
In fact, the last two turns for Glass Now three earned runs coming on two swings Francisco Lindor in New York, the two run home run in the solo shot from Swinsky, and he's got some stiff competition today. Glass Now again, he should be an All Star for the Dodgers, and he's definitely a contender for Cy Young in the National League. Luis Heel for the Yankees, he might be the front running the American League. And he's a rookie. And Heel has gotten better as the game has progressed. Here's a
number I found earlier today. The first time through the lineup he's allowed a one forty four average, the second time through the lineup a one twenty four average, and the third time through the lineup could you believe just one eleven? He has gotten better as the game has gone along, and here's a young man that has turned things around. You know, back in May of twenty twenty two, he underwent Tommy John surgery. He didn't know what really
was in the future. Well, in his future is very bright now because he's got the tension of a lot of people in baseball. Similar to Gavin Stone. Is Heel only in the rotation because of the preseason injury to Garrett cole In Stone only in the rotation due to some preseason injuries, And now they both pitched themselves into solidified spots for the Dodgers and the Yankees. I
mentioned earlier Tim that hits We're going to be at a premium tonight. That's because Luise Heel has a one to twenty nine opponents batting average against that is first in baseball. Who's second, Tyler Glass Now, so those two will duke it out in Game three, the Dodgers looking to sweep the Yankees here
in the Bronx. Great pitching matchup coming up next Dodgers and Yankees. After the game, I'll be back with all the post game festivities and Dodger talk as well, and a special look back at Shoho Tani signed with the Dodgers six months ago. That's coming up on all the postgames coverage when this one is over. Dodgers going for the sweep in the Bronx. I'm Tim Katese has been wrong with Casino Dodgers on deck on the Los Angeles Dodgers Audio Network
