Transcript

And now your host for Marongo Casino Dodgers on Tech Tam Case, Hi everybody, and welcome in to Morongo Casino Dodgers on Deck. Hope you're well on this Thursday morning, soon to be afternoon here in Southern California or Los Angeles. Dodgers forty six and thirty on the season, first place atop the NL

West after taking the first two games in Denver of this series. The Dodgers fell to the Rockies last night, but tonight they're right back at it, a chance to win the series at Coors Field, Gavin Stone on the mound. In the series finale, first pitch from Denver's coming up at twelve ten. Between then and now, we got a lot to get to here on Marongo Casino Dodgers on Deck, will hear from Dodger manager Dave Roberts. We'll preview this pitch, he matchup David Vass goes one on one with Max Munsey.

That was yesterday today, Andre Ehier. Shortly we'll check in with Kirsten Watson, and in just a few minutes we'll hear from Rick Monday and Tim Neverett out the Galpin Motors broadcast boot Well last night in Denver. It was the return of Bobby Miller, who ended up giving the Dodgers almost seven innings six and a third, five runs, six hits, three walks, two strikeouts in a home run. The home run, well, that was a

three run shot in the first. This is Bomby Miller's first start since the tenth of April and his two zero pitch to Tolia I swung on pretty well hit center field deep back. After it, piz Andy looks up, it's gone a three run holding Michael Tolia's sixth home run of the year and the

Rockies on the board. It is three to nothing is Nicknahn and Stallings come in to score ahead of Tolia. Michael Tolia the three run home run four hundred and twenty seven feet to the center field that gave the Rockies a three to nothing lead in the first, but that didn't last long. In the second show, he Otani cleared the bases with a basis clearing double. The game was tied at three, then Freddy Freeman a single to right that score

Otani. The Dodgers with four four in the second retook the lead up four to three, but in the fourth the Rockies would tie it up in the fifth, the Dodgers would retake the league. It's like a ping pong match, back and forth. Jason Hayward with the RBI double Dodgers up six to four in the seventh, ought Bortcherit scored on an air that brought in a run. It gave the Dodgers a six to five lead. A couple of sackflies in the seventh and ninth that tied the game and then gave the Rockies

the walkoff win in the ninth inning. Doyle to sackfly, scoring cave as the Rockies win it in the ninth seven to sixth. The final, The Dodgers saw a good effort from Bobby Miller last night. He gave him the inning. It's not necessarily a great performance, but gave him a good an outing into the seventh, the Dodgers' bullpen just had to get an inning in

two thirds as Johann Ramirez gets the loss. Dodgers fall to forty six and thirty on this season today, though they still have a chance to get the series win before heading home for a two game series against the Anaheim Angels. Gavin Stone on the mound this afternoon and with more, Let's head out to the gallopin motors broadcast both as we say good morning to Rick Monday and Tim

never guys, thank you Tim. Beautiful afternoon. Not a cloud in the sky right now over Coors Field in Denver's we get set for game four of this four game set, Dodgers looking to win three of four, Rocky's trying to spoil it and split after last night's walk off win for Colorado. Ty Block will get the start for the Rockies today. He's three and four in a four to six five era. Gavin Stone will go for the Dodgers. He is seven and two in a three to z oh one and the young

man making his fourteenth start pitching pretty well lately. But we go back to last night moment a game the Dodgers had the lead after the sixth inning six to four, Rockies took advantage of an error in the seventh inning by Cavin Biggio, scored an extra run, tied it up, and it came down to the bottom of the night. So many times we're looking at losses of games and he's trying to find something that's positive. It's not that difficult to

find something positive. Last night and even though the loss, as you mentioned, seven to six. But if you look at Bobby Miller, after settling down in that first inning he started, he had a ground ball out, he had a strikeout very quickly, two outs in a walk, there was a single, and then the three run home run. After that, Bobby Miller really showed the reason why the Dodgers were anticipating his return because he wound up going six in the third innings five runs, yes, but only six

hits. He walked three, struck out two. But the other thing too, is he had three ground ball double plays, so he pitched to situations and for Miller, a very good outing at least in my estimation, in coming off the injured list, because if we look back, the outings that he had in the rehab starts were not particularly great, with the command of

strike zoned last night after the first inning much better. Now. Bobby says he's feeling very well today, which is good news as far as runs are concerned, and the offense runs have not been that tough to come by in this series. These two teams have combined for forty seven runs over the first three games, now the most run scored in the series. So far this year sixty five the A's and the Rangers back in early May and Oakland. But you know this is cors Field. The Dodgers could get and the Rockies

could get up to sixty five runs, who knows. And and for the Dodgers trying to get things going show, Hey Otani again is going to lead things off. He's in that leadoff spot. He's done a very good job since the loss of the Mookie Bets with a fractured hand. And for Otani, he's reached based safely now in eight of his sixteen plate appearances as the leadoff hitter and he's seven fifteen in that stretch, so he's really helped set the table and get it going. So Tani, then Will Smith, followed

by Freddie Freeman, then Tioscar Hernandez again against the left hander. We're seeing Dave Roberts go with primarily a right handed hitting lineup. And for Freddie Fraeman, seventeen game on bass streak, hitting three point fifty during that stretch and he has scored sixteen runs. So Freeman getting it done offensively. Key k Hernandez out there third today it'll be another chance for Chris Taylor he'll be at second patting nine. Yeah. And for the Rockies, they understand fhul Wells.

You know, they've won consecutive games. They're trying to do that for the first time this month. Their understanding also trying to come from behind. Why do we say that, Well, the Rockies have trailed at some point in sixty four of their first seventy four games this season. That's uppill. That's the highest total of runs looking up and trailing the other team in Major League Baseball to this point. Since the start of the twenty nineteen season,

the Dodgers have won sixty of eighty six against the Rockies. That's the worst record for any team of the Majors versus any Division opponent, and the best on the winning side for the Dodgers. Gavin Stone has the ball today. Seven and two, Tyve Lock the lefty three and four Dodgers and Rockies wrapping up this four game set in Denver. Jim, all right, as we count you down to first pitch, Dodger fans, get your game day meal

Well check in with David Vats say he'll go one on one with Andre Ehier. Deeper into today's pitching matchup with Gavin Stone on the mound. But up next you're Otani Rewine and we'll visit with Sports and Net LA's Kirsten Watson should leads you up to Dodgers and Rockies

on this Thursday. Thanks for being with us. I'm Tim Kates's Los Angeles Dodgers Audio Network is Morongo Casino, Dodgers on Dodgers on Deck, y'all on the official home of LA Dodgers Baseball. It's the Dodgers and Rockies on this Thursday, final game of this four game set. Gavin Stone on the mound, first pitch and Courus field set first of all ten. This is the Otani Ree wide Chani waiting from the left side. The right hander Feldner deals

swam bashit the left center field. Here comes LUTs the score, Here comes Busy on the score. They're gonna wave home hurt Nandez. He will scar and tie the game a two out basis clearing double for show one ball at two strikes to Otani stretched by mirrors and the right hander fires this one. We're up to right field. That's up ace hip Otani is two for four.

Show. Hey. Otani would end up going two for five the bases clearing double way back in the second inning as he finished with three RBI on the day and I got fifty two on this season, his twenty first double of the year. Show e Otani now raises his average to three seventeen on this season. That Otani rewind brought to by Eto ns Oo, Japan's number one green tea. If he'll be a local diso stores Amazon at eto in dot com. That's it O E N dot com. This is Kirston's corner

with Kirston Watson. Hey, Kirsten now joins it. It's from cors Field and Denver before the finale of this four game series. Kirsten last night to Oscar Hernandez came out of the game. He's in the lineup today. What's going on? Yeah? You know. The good thing is he's all good. So yesterday Dave Roberts cided to take him out for a couple of reasons. One, he's playing in all four here at Course Field, and you know it's not the easiest of places to play. The altitude in Denver obviously

makes it very challenging. And as much as Taoscar said that he feels really good, his body's in a good spot, he was saying, you know, when you get you do that first to third, it's not easy. All of a sudden, the lungs tightened up a little bit. So Dave was saying, it was really just kind of trying to get ahead of things and wanting to help protect him. Taoskar takes a lot of pride and wanting

to be an everyday player. So as you mentioned today, he is back out there, he's playing in right field, so he just wanted to Dave was saying, ultimately he wanted to get Chris Taylor in at bad. He wanted to get Tioscar off of his feet. Yes, there have been times where we've seen this before. Typically the games are a little bit broken open. You know, it's kind of a five run game or a six run game in which will take you know, Freddy and Tioscar and even Mooki off

their feet. So to do it in a two run game obviously did come bring up some questions, but Dave was like, you know what, he did it because he'd done it before. He feels good about hi decision, and he did not. It was not the reason they lost last night. And so but I think the most important thing is that Taioscar is he's good to go and he is back out there today. Just wanted to give him a little bit of time to kind of recover and get off his feet.

Kirsten's brought to buy cars for kids, the easiest way to get rid of old cars on a today and your car could be picked up tomorrow. Donate now carsfrokids dot org. That's cars with the K. Gavin Stone on the mound tonight, and he's been really good. You can make a case that he's been all Star worthy good this first half of this season and he gets

to start in this finale. Yeah, he really has been fantastic. He's going deep into the games, he's been really efficient using just his pitch mix so well and just continuing to really, you know, carry that confidence of not only just an ace of a team, but someone who's going to have a lot of success in this league. And so today is going to be a new challenge for him, So you're playing at Coors Field for the first

time. What he does have to his advantage is, you know the Rockies team what we saw in game one of this years against James Packs and they're very aggressive. So if you can get ahead in the counts early, then that should be a good place for him. But just having that command of his pitch mix and being in a really good spot, I think that will allow him to hopefully get deep into the game. Because that's also a big focus because a lot of not only just what he does, but what the

group does today. It has impact on what the plan is going to be tomorrow back at home at Dodgers Stadium against the Angels. We will find out how he can do today, hopefully get the Dodgers all win, get back home for this two game series. Cares still, we appreciate it still to come here on Wrongo because you know, Dodgers on deck will dive deep into this pitching matchup. David Vetday goes one on one with Andre Ethier. But up next we'll get you an injury report and we'll hear from the manager,

Dave Roberts himself. It's the Dodgers and Rockies on this Thursday afternoon, First pitch at twelve ten. I'm Tim Kasi's Los Angeles Dodgers Audio Network. This is Morongo Cassino Dodgers Hunting game on your home for LA Dodgers Baseball. Rago Casino Dodgers on Deck continues on this Thursday, Maronggo Casino Resort and spy a Grand Slam four Good Times Dodgers in Rocky's final game of this four game set. First pitch coming up at twelve ten. It's the LA Dodgers Injury Report

presented by UCLA Healthy, official medical partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Mookie Bets on the IL, the fractured hand, Yoshinoba Yamamoto on the IL with the strained rotator, Cruft Walker Reviewler on the IL with the right hip inflammation. Michael Grove on the IL, Max Munty on the IL, Ryan Brazier on the IL. Kyle Hurt making his way back off the IL hopefully soon.

Clayton Kershaw yesterday threw down in Rancho Koucamonga for the Quakes. More on that coming up, and she had done for the year after having Tommy John surgery. All right, let's head back out to Coursefield and check out with the Dodgers. Skibber any questions for Dave? Dave? Can you just describe Dave? Can you talk about the pressure in the dugouts with Dave Roberts Gavin Stone today? What are you hoping to see from him just with facing the

Rockies and also just managing the kind of elements of Denver. I think as far as Gavin, I hope I expect that the psyche doesn't change given pitching in a different environment altitude. I don't think he's pitched here before. He might have, but he's still in the baseball so well, you know, we've got a rested pen and he'll have an extra day, you know, coming out of this. So I'm just really proud of the way he goes

out there, attacks hitters, competes and commands at baseball. You guys put more thought into just what the plan is going to be for tomorrow against the Angels or are you waiting to see what happens at this game. We are going to either do a bullpen game or do a spot start, So I don't know if it's going to be somebody from Triple A or it's going to be you know, yarbs, depending on how we do it with an open or something like that. I just don't know right now. Is Land and

Knack an option yep. Do you know what's going to be next for Kershawn? And is he going to stay in rancho or they're going to be is he going to start going up levels? You know what, Jack, I don't know that answer. I should know it. I'll find that out. But I do know the next one is gonna be The plan is for four innings, but I don't know where is he kind of maybe not a head of schedule, but but has he kind of gone about as quick through this

process to this point? Is you guys going to hope? Yes? Yeah, I think obviously doctor alatrosh Clayton that the rehab, guys, training staff, everybody deserves all the credit. As for me, He's blown through this and I hope it continues. All right. There's Dave Roberts down the dugout brought to you by Service Titan. Dave Roberts is a Titan in his own right, and he's got a plan before his team hits the field. You need one for your growing contracting business too, let's Service Titan help you a

I'm Tim Kates's Los Angeles Dodgers Audio Nower. This is Marongo Casino Dodgers on tach on your home for the blue all season law Law Dodgers and Rockies on this Thursday, final game of this four game set. Back home tomorrow night for a brief two game

interleague series against the Angels. Gavin Stone on the Mountain. Today, Dodger fans and hants are listening and experienced by downloading the iHeartRadio app and listening in HD. It's all powered by LA Care Health Plans serving all Angelinos la Care dot Org. Joining Tim Kates on Dodgers on Deck. I accept everybody for who they are. This is Dodger insider David Basse. All right DV. Yesterday in Rancho Cucamonga, a sellout crowd at the Epicenter to watch Clayton Kershaw

make a rehab start. Sellout crowd at low Mart Field over there, Tim and certainly a lot of buzz and excitement for the fact that Clayton Kershaw made his first rehab start since undergoing his first ever surgery that left shoulder surgery performed by the great doctor Neil Ella Trosh has allowed him now not to have a setback. Last night three innings, thirty six pitches, and after the game, Clayton spoke to quite a few media members that made the trip to the

IE. Well, I think I think the significance will be making it back to the big leagues. You know. I think this is just another step in the process. It doesn't mean it's not important, but ultimately all this is for nothing if you know, I don't make it back. So it's good. It's a good another step. I'm not getting, you know, too high or too low, just you know, trying to make it through, you know, make it through three or four more starts and kind of

see whe I'm at. The biggest thing, Tim from what I understand talking to scouts and people around the league, is his fastball velocity. Last night

it was clocked at ninety. If it doesn't go any higher than that, it is going to be even more critical for him to try to develop a change up, something that he has said he's not been able to do, and his former teammates have told me part of the reason why he has resisted going all in with the changeup is because Kershaw is so great, and some of his greatness is due to the fact that he tunnels the pitches in the

same armslot and you hear about pronation of the risk and all that. If he starts to pronate his wrist a little bit differently for a changeup, he has been concerned that it could affect his money pitch the slider. So that's something to keep an eye on in these next three or four rehab starts. That's interesting, all right, DV. We're getting closer and closer to that

trade deadline. Any stuff buzzing with the Dodgers right now. Well, the two major starting pitchers that are out there on the trade market are not surprisingly from the Marlins and White Sox, two teams that are not going anywhere any anytime soon. Heyzus Lozardo of the Marlins is a guy that many teams have their eyes on. And Garrett Crochet of the White Sox, who the Dodgers could see next week when they play Chicago over there on the south side.

So those are the two names. And now you don't have Yamamoto, now you don't have Walker Buehler. Many people believe at the top of the Dodgers shopping list now should be a starting pitcher that can start a playoff game. David is trained by the Ford F Series, America's best selling truck for forty seven years and counting for it gives you the freedom of choice gas hybrid electric head of your Southern California for dealers and find yours Ford F Series built tough.

Freddie Freeman show, Hey Otani, Dave really feels like they're starting to heat up here. Yeah, how about sho hey Otani, who is in a major slump for about twenty five games there, came out of it at the on Sunday Father's Day when he hit two home runs, and now all of a sudden, he is nine for his last eighteen with three home runs, three doubles and certainly has been a spark for the Dodgers offense at the

top of the lineup. Freddie Freeman has in his words, treaded water all season long, but now in the month of June, tim he has really gotten hot, which is a huge boost for the Dodgers. Freddie Freeman now hitting three point fifty this month in seventeen games. That's big, especially with Max Munsey's still out and now the Dodgers without Mookie Betts for the next six to eight weeks. David Gavinstone along with Tyler Glass now I've been their best

starters so far and healthy starters this first half of the season. Today's Gavin Stone's first time ever pitching at Corus Field, and sometimes that can get to guys inside their head because of how many runs or hits you can give up in a game. Kind of feels like Gavin Stone to be nice to see him go out today, young pitcher, never pitched before and have a grid outing the biggest it's key for a young pitcher, and we saw it yesterday

in a positive way in a negative way for Bobby Miller. You can't allow walks. You start walking guys, that's when you get into trouble. And that's where Bobby Miller got in trouble in the first inning yesterday. The change up plays there, especially since it's a hard change up. So I would imagine if Gavin Stone can throw strikes like he has all year long. He should have a good outing today. Great stuff dv A well, check back you with you in just a couple of minutes. Coming up here. I'm

wronggo Casino Dodgers on deck. We'll hear from Andre Ethier. We'll dive deeper into this pitching match up. But up next your Dodgers Magical moment. Don't go anywhere. So Dodgers and Rockies first pitch of twelve ten. I'm Tim Kasi's Los Angeles Dodgers Audio Network. Classes can fill up quickly, So on roll today and I can go to college dot com. And now joined by David Basse, here's LA Dodgers broadcaster and World Series

champion Dodger Rick Monday. All right, Rick, the final game of four at coors Field and the Dodgers come back tomorrow to play the Angels. But do you feel like four games at Corsfield is going to hurt the Dodgers at that high altitude today? Well, four games up in this ballpark, David, as you well know, it's like spending a week in other ballparks because of the altitude, is going to be hot today. One thing that is good is not a high humidity up here, almost a mile high above sea

level. But for the Rockies, you know, a walk off victory last night at the ninth, they're gonna sacrifice fly. But for the cottlebron of Rockies, they're attempting to win consecutive games for the first time this month. And here we are in the twentieth of June. Yeah, they've only won five games this month, and the Dodgers are looking to get out of town and have a happy flight. Andy pa has Rick. I know you keep a close eye on center fielders around the league. Defensively one thing, but

also offensively. Now it seems like he has countered with a pretty good adjustment to get his front foot down. Yeah, he has. From a hitting standpoint, I think there's a couple of things and he really needs to get that front foot down early, in particular with the hard stuff. Last night, a little bit of trouble with breaking ball away a strikeout and there was another pitch away called looking and then the change up the third strike out of

the ball game. Did have a base hit score also had a double. He's a young player that the more and more we see him, David, the more interesting he becomes. He's got all the tools that you could have. He's a big guy. He's strong to begin with. He's got a very good idea in what he's trying to do. A couple of things, not only getting his foot down from a hitting standpoint, but as a guy that used to play a center field or just watching him, this is not

a complaint that he has. I'm trying to help some way and somehow, you know. I've talked to a couple of coaches. Defensively, he still has his right foot in the air when the ball's crossing home plate, and I keep talking about it. It's gonna cost him a step going to his right. It's probably a step and a half, maybe two steps going to his left, because you cannot move until you get your right foot down and

plant. If you're going to go either to your right. You can fall to your right, but you have to plant that foot, the right foot down if you're going to go to your left. So just little things here and there. We've watched him throw. The throwing has gotten much better. From the outfield. He has a strong arm to begin with, and he's understanding. Now, look, his job to throw the ball back in is

to hit the cutoff man. You want the longest throw from the outfielders, and I think infielders now understand, Hey, he's got a very strong arm. They don't have to go out as far to get the throw from him. Yeah, no doubt. The arm is pretty strong and made your league arm. I love hearing you talk about how you see the littlest things when it comes to outfielders that can be the difference between catching a ball or a

ball going for extra bases. Well, it's fundamentals. Fundamentals. Also, how he feels ground balls they're coming, He feels them off to the side and brings the ball in the glove to the hand. I would suggest that he'd take the hand and meet the glove with the ball. A couple of reasons, Hey, you're not taking as long to transfer all the way to the bare hand. The other part, too, is the sooner you reach into the glove, the longer you have to grip the ball cross seams.

Why cross seams, because then the ball is not going to tail away from you. Because you can throw really the ball and not have the seams in disarray. If you will, it gives you longer time to collect yourself. If you go to meet the ball in the glove instead of taking the ball

in the glove all the way over to the bare hand. Hey, I always say this, No, mar Garcia is a great resource for the infielders and hitters, and Rick Monday is a great resource for the outfielders for the reason that he just explained, you know how to tea Look, well, it's it's a learning process. And you know this is this is a difficult classroom at the major league level. It's a constant work in progress. And he's not afraid to work. All right, Rick, I got my front

foot down ready to go for first pitch. Hey, we'll see you tomorrow. We'll put both feet down to Dodgers Stadium. Look forward to it. Rick Monday and Tim never will be on the call. We'll check in a little bit later. Tim, back to you, all right. Thanks a lot of DV. Thanks MO. Dodgers Baseball is brought to you by Speedy Cash, official sponsor every LA weekend. Find the right doctor CHLA dot org David and now what will likely be vast fielding insults from a Dodger player, It's an engagement of endearment. This is high

and tight. Well, last night at the Forum in Inglewood, Kendrick Lamar brought out doctor Dre in the city that he made fame is so the best we could do is bring our Dre Day on and certainly a fan favorite did a lot in his twelve year major league career with the Dodgers. So here is our version of bringing out Dre Day on Dodgers Radio the one and Only Andre Ethier. Andre, great to have you back on the show. Do you feel like this equates to Kendrick Lamar bringing out Doctor Dre on stage last

night? No, not at all. I don't think you're doing Doctor Dre any bit of a a bit of the rep and and accolades that that guy should be having. Yeah, I don't think it's it equates very well. So we'll start off already on it not great here, Dave, So let's go. Are you saying I swung and missed? Well, that's why you're in the bit. Hey. Speaking of doctor Dre, you know people always use that Dre day, Andre Ethier, all that stuff, try to make

that cliche in some ways. But did you ever consider using doctor Dre as a walk up song? I think I did. I think I do remember using Doctor Andrea as a song. It might have been early on. I hears a Snoop Dog Again Doctor Dre song that I used early on. Those are probably before your days, before you were even a Dodger fan or Dodger faithful back in two thousand and six and seven and eight. Oh yeah I was, I was around, but I wasn't paying attention to your walk up

song. I was paying attention to Nomar and for Call and Jeff Kent. Hey, those are a really good players. I was. I was in the same I was in the same boat as you. I was paying attention to those guys. I was a a wide eyed pinching myself young, you know, rookie and early on in his major league career. Get that she had to play with guys that I had just seen years before on the TV. Andre Ethier is our guest. All right, Andre, the Dodgers closing

out their series at Course Field today. You've played left field, you've played center field, you've played right field. What is so challenging about playing that outfield at Course Field? It's big, that's it. It's big. It's big. It's bright out there. It seems to be brighter than a lot of places. Maybe it's the altitude. Denver on a four game swing, after a travel day of you know, no day off with that travel day at the twelve ten start is just a it's a tough it's a tough road

trip. It's a tough place to go play four days in a row. It's a tough place to have a get away day game, especially at twelve ten day game. But you know, that's that's kind of you know, one of those advantages for the Rockies to have is you know they get to be there all year or most of the year and train at that altitude, and you know that dryness it catches up to you definitely on that last day, and you know, your biggest thing is you're just hoping you're you know,

keeping your players healthy as you as you're getting out of there. Andre Ethier had a thirty game hitting streak back in twenty ten, and unfortunately he broke his pinky while swinging the bat in the cage and you were leading the National League in triple Crown categories, all three of them. Can you relate to Mookie Betts breaking his left hand in a different way obviously being hit by a pitch? Uh, you know, the feeling taking that much time off,

How is this going to impact Mookie's season when he returns. I think it starts and stops that. And you know, in common of me and MOOKI and breaking our hands' Mookie's one heck of a player, and he's a he's a year long triple Crown guy, not a I guess month and a half season guy like I was, and uh, it's tough. You feel

for him, you feel for the team. I feel like MOOKI if you could say this, I don't know if if it's you know, but he's really come into his place as being not only major leaguer, but being a Dodger, you know, superstar, this guy who is accountable on a nightly basis and comes up with you know, big hits, big at bats,

big plays. We know the the journey he's had transitioning to shortstop this year and this you know, and you can call it selfless, you can call it h you know, just you know that mentality of you know what Dave in the locker room like say, next man up, you know, next guy up, to fill what we need. We know what we have. We have great players in here that are gonna do great things, but we need guys to always fill, uh, the spots in between when guys get

hurt, when guys aren't struggling. And you know, Mookie was able to step up with the position void and roll right into that from second to short you know all these different things. Yeah, I think you're gonna miss more than just movies that you're missing a guy who you know it really is, is like a jack of all trades at superstar level, and it's gonna be tough. It really is gonna be from to come back and just not miss a beat. Uh, let's just say six weeks at the best case scenario.

Are you going to be as strong you know, physically in your legs and you know, in your rotation, in your swing, in your hands, all that stuff. Are you to be literally of staying in there and trusting the ball is not going to hit you when it's a you know, when it's a tough front door slider, you know, stuff like that. So there's a lot of things going to go through, But I don't put any doubt that he will be successful coming back because the guy's good at everything

he does. Awesome hearing your voice and sharing your voice with the fans. And hopefully see you at Dodger Stadium with the family in the home run seats soon, I hope. So I'm looking forward in July. I'll be out there, uh for sure, and I'm gonna hit up you know, the Dodger staff there for my home run seats. I love sitting in oh hold on to your nachos. Sometimes they get spilled, for sure. Today, they make it easy. Ty block on the mound. Veteran leftended thirty three years old. It is ninth season now the Big League's pitched a long time with the Giants. Third season out with

the Rockies three and fourth, a four to sixty five ERORA. It's making his ninth start, his twelfth appearance last time out five and two, third innings, two runs, seven hits, five strikeouts in a win over the Pirates. He is four and three with a three to thirteen RA and twenty career appearances nine starts against the Dodgers. That RA is eighth lowest against the

Dodgers a months active pitchers of fifty innings or more. His nine starts against the Dodgers, he's four and three with a two point fifty eight RRA. Six of those nine starts have been quality starts, so he's pitched well against the Blue He's got a one to twenty three ERA and six appearances against the Dodgersons joined the Rockies back in twenty twenty two. Gavin Stone on the mound for the Dodgers, making his first start ever at Coors Field. He is

seven and two with a three to oh one ERRA. He is having an all Star season. The twenty five year old right hander has come up big second season now with the Dodgers in the big leagues. Making his fourteen start last time out seven innings, three runs, four hits, three strikeouts and a no decision. Against the Kansas City Royals and Gavin Stone, as we mentioned to pitch really well for the Dodgers, been a mainstay in this rotation

since the beginning of this season. Gavin Stone, Ty Block, Dodgers Rockies. We're fifteen minutes away from first pitch in the series finale from Denver, Keys to the game. again. We count you down to the first pitch today. From cores Field and Denver just a perfect day for a ballgame, great day for an afternoon game here certainly Gavin Stone seven to two and a three ZH one era. He'll have the ball today, making his fourteenth start for the Dodgers. Stone he's had a pretty good stretch. He's got a win against the Rockies on the second of June in LA, throwing five scoreless innings last Friday against the

Royals and no decision. But Stone, with a seven and two record, has really stepped up in this season. The opportunity that he's been able to

have with the Dodgers, he's taken advantage of it. I think today in particular, the Mile High Stadium is just about two hundred and sixty feet above sea level and with the temperature it's going to be in the low nineties today, so this is this is a good day to keep the ball down and for Gavin Stone, he's had six ground bowl double plays turned in behind him.

Here's the other thing about Stone, He's handled the middle part of the lineups numbers three, four and five hitters to just a one fifty six average so far this season. That's the fifth lowest average against the middle lineup by any darning pitcher in baseball, Ty Block, coming off a win over the Pirates last Saturday, but prior to that, he'd lost his two previous starts against the Cardinals and the Reds, allowing eight runs, eighteen hits, and

ten combined innings. That's in the ara of seven to twenty. Dodgers looking for a win on getaway day in Denver and to try to take three of four from Colorado before returning home to take on the Angels tomorrow night. Dodgers Rockies coming up, Tim all Right, first pitch is next Ty Block on the mound for the Colorado Rockies, the left hander going at it against the

Dodgers. Cavin Stone, who has had an all star first half of the season, looking to keep it going in his first time ever pitching a chorus field. Remember after the game, David Bassey's got you covered with all the highlights postgame festivities in Dodger Talk as well. Dodgers Rockies from Denver is next.
