And now your host for Morongo Casino Dodgers on Deck. Tam Case, Hi everybody, and welcome in to Morongo Kissino Dodgers on Deck. Hope you're enjoying this beautiful Saturday afternoon. You're Los Angeles Dodgers thirty three and twenty on this season. Right now, they're in a little bit of a rut. Despite being in first place to top the NL West, Dodgers have dropped three in a row, including the series opener last night in Cincinnati. Tonight, they
look to get back on track. Walker Mueller on the mound. First pitch from Great American Ballpark is coming up at four point fifteen. Coming up over the next hour plus here on Marogo Casino Dodgers on Deck, we'll hear from the Dodger manager Dave Roberts. David Vest will go one on one with Chris Taylor. Yeah, CT three back in the starting lineup again tonight after having a two run double last night. More on that coming up. We'll dive
deeper to this pitching matchup. In just a few minutes, we'll check out with Rick Monday and Tim Neverertt at the Gallpin Motors broad Kas Booth Well last night in Cincinnati, the Dodgers dug themselves out of an early hole, only to see the bullpen implode in the fifth inning. James Paxson got the start,
the Big Maple struggled to build to his control. He walked two of the first and three batters that he faced before giving up a three run home run to Spencer Steer in the bottom half of the first inning, and the Red jumped out to the early three to nothing lead. But the Dodgers would answer back in the top half of the second inning. Runners on for Chris Taylor, two minute scoring position, nobody out, good chance for Taylor to get a run home. These swings, he will get a run home,
maybe two. That's on the left center field gap. That's gonna get down and go to the wall. Here comes Hernandez in the score looks around third. He will score, and Chris Taylor, with his first double of the season, scores two. It's now a three to two ballgame CT three. With the two run double, Dodgers down three to two, but they would tie it up. Things to Mookie Benz in a ground roll double down the line that scored Taylor, and we were all knotted up as three. The
Dodgers weren't done. At the top of the second showey Otani and Rbi ground out that scored Andy Pajas. Dodgers four runs to the top of the second take the lead four to three. In the fifth, Dodgers added to their lead thanks to Will Smith one Ota Willie hits the ball high in the ear of the right field and deep heard of. He's going back to the track to the wall. That's got a home run. Will Smith an opposite field homer, his sixth ot the year, and the Dodgers now lead at five
to three. That ball get out of here in a hurry. The laser from will Smith his sixth of the season. Dodgers up five to three. James Paxson had that lead going to the bottom half of the fifth inning, but the first batter he faced, Stuart Fairchild solo home run. It was a five to four Dodgers lead. After a couple of outs too, out walk from James Packson and that would be it. Dave Roberts comes out,
gives the ball to Johann Ramirez, who immediately hits the batter. Walks a batter, hits a batter, bringing in Nick Martini, who scores, making it a five to five game, and the Reds weren't done. After Dave Roberts came out and took the ball from Ramirez, he gave it to Alex Vesia, first batter he faced, Hello India stretch by Vessia. The payoff pitch swang hot hit deep to left field, down the line. It does.
It is the third career grand slam for Jonathan India, a pitch away from getting out of the inning, and the Reds have opened it up. They've come all the way back in a two out, three to two pitch drilled out of here to left field. It is nine to five Cincinnati, Jonathan India with the grand slam down the left field line. A six run fifth inning for the Cincinnati Reds against James Paxton, Johann Ramirez and the grand
slam off Alex Vesia. Dodgers down nine to five. They would close the gap a little in the ninth on a solo home run from Taoscar Hernandez is twelfth of the year. Dodgers go on and lose to the Reds nine to six is the final. Graham Ashcraft gets the win. The Dodgers drop the series opener. They've now lost three in a row. They're a five hundred team to lost ten games. They're now thirty three and twenty on this season. The good news is new day, new game in Cincinnati, and Walker
Bueler is on the mound. First pitch is coming up at four point fifteen and with Moreland's head out to the Galpin Moters broadcast with the Great American Ballpark as we say hello to Rick Monday and Tim Nevert guys, Tam, thank you very much. Gorgeous afternoon in the evening here in Cincinnati, Ohio. The weather a bit warm and a bit humid today on a big day on a Saturday, Memorial Day weekend, always big in the city of Cincinnati.
But the Dodgers trying to get back to their winning waves. They have lost three in a row for the second time this year. That matches their longest losing skid of the year and trying not to lose their fourth straight. Last year they did lose four straight once. The year before that they lost four
straight once, so they don't have a lot of long losing streaks. That's the good news about the Dodgers and hoping to get back on track here against the Reds Hunter Green out of Los Angeles, he'll have the ball for the Reds tonight, and Walker Buehller pitching for the Dodgers making his fourth start and Walker Bueller dynamite in his last start. Talk about that in a little bit. In the meantime, the offense both top mam bottom had some success last
night. In one inning in the second ending they scored four, had another one in the fifth, another one in the ninth. But still they need to have a more sustained offensive effort, especially against a tough pitcher like Green. Yeah, and when you start to score as many runs as they were able to do it last night, that being six, so you need to
be in the ball game a little bit more. But when you issue eight walks and you hit two batters, the pitchers had difficulty after James Packson went four and two thirds, pitching had difficulty finding a strike zone and the game got out of hand. Also, the Reds helped themselves. One of the areas is that we really noticed is that Stuart Fairchild put on a terrific display
of defense in center field for the Reds last night. He robbed one at least extra base hit and robbed at least one home run that would have been over the fence. And for a Stuart Fairchild, he is rewarded by not being in the lineup tonight for Cincinnati. But that's baseball. It is hey with them. Well, here's something about the Reds. Earlier, we were observing La de la Cruz in the banning cage going to switch hitters. So
he did most of his bunning from the right side. He worked on bunning a ball on the third base side and pushing it up the right side. Then he turned around and did it left handed. Since his really good game against the Dodgers two Thursdays ago at Dodger Stadium, he is just three for his last twenty nine, striking out almost half the time and hitting just one h three. And maybe the Reds were telegraphing what they're trying to get him
to do and in order to get him on base. Well, as someone that bunted occasionally, and you and I were watching him very closely, cannics of bunning the ball were not exactly what you would put as a classroom teaching material. He tried it down to third baseline and then tried also to push the button. Now, whether he's going to try and do it tonight. We are going to fight out because once he gets on base, little surprise, he was not running last night, but he's stolen the thirty one out
of thirty six tonight. One of the things I've been looked forward for de la Cruz first pitch to him. In fact, a couple of guys he's hit five twenty four on the first pitches thrown to him, and Spencer Steer, who hit the big three run home run in the first inning last night, first pitch is thrown to him this year hitting at four sixty two,
so two batters in particular have been very aggressive for Cincinnati early. Another thing to consider tonight for the Dodgers. Sho hel Tani last night all for five. Over his last eight games, he is six for thirty, and considering the fact that he's cooled off quite a bit lately, he still leads the National League in batting average at three point forty and is due to get hot
again. Some teams may want to look at some video or look at the prints on what the Reds have done pitching wise to show heyo Tony because he's three for nineteen in his appearances against them so far this season. But we're gonna find out what happens. Because show Heyo Tonny he gets right handed pitchers has hit three point fifty nine so far this season. That's the second best average against right handed pitching in Major League Baseball to this point. Dodgers trying
to even things up with the Reds here tonight in Cincinnati. The Dodgers thirty three and twenty the Reds twenty one and thirty. Walker Bueller making his fourth start of the season. Hunter Green will make his eleventh tim All right, thank you guys, as we cut you down to first pitch. Dodger fans, get your game day meal on at Shaky's Pizza Parlor. The last night, their starter, James Paxson four and two third innings, five runs, five hits, he walked for struck out for give him a couple of home runs and afterwards talk to David sa James, how much were you finding yourself out there tonight? Yeah? I was fighting myself in the first for sure, just couldn't really find a rhythm. And then I feel like it got better as the game went on a little bit, and then
just that fifth inning kind of lost that hand a little bit again. What was the feel missing? Which pitches were you not really having a feel for tonight? Just a fastball location wasn't there night? You know, it wasn't really executing very well at that The curve balls were kind of hit and miss, through some good ones, through some good ones, just overall, notice
sharp tonight. How tough was it for you to watch the way that fifth inning when after you came out and were you surprised that you weren't able to face Stevenson? You know, I always want the ball, but that's not my call to make. And you know, Yeah, it was unfortunate, see how it went, you know, but that's that's baseball happened. Sometimes. We've talked about the cutter a lot. I mean, it didn't seem like to threw one today because actually, just how it's sort of feeling lately,
said not to throw it. Yeah, it's just not there yet, you know. So there's other pitches that I think are better to be throwing a game right now. You know, still something I'm going to work on on the side and if it comes around, we'll use it, but right now it's just not there. Both have that handcuff to you this season that having that sort of weapon. I mean, you know, it's it's a pitch that I've used in the past. It's kind of helped me get strike
guts and stuff like that. But you know, so far, the fastball is change up curder balls. I'm working pretty well, just having to getting the strikeouts, but I've been able to get weak contact, and tonight wasn't one of those nice you're determinedly going into this start, you weren't going to throw that pitch at all. No, you know, you throw it in the bullpen and you see how it's working and it just wasn't there, So
we went to other stuff in this ballpark. I know it's not the same altitude as Corsfield, but how much does it play as far as walks and then that kind of turning into a big ring. Oh yeah, walks are always you know, not good. You know, you don't want to get guys on base for free so that they maybe pay for that tonight in the first pinning, right, I said, this was just one of those games
where the hit by pitch played a factor. Is that the way you as a picture look at it that you know, sometimes guys don't have full command and pictures get away. Yeah. Yeah, I think it was just one of those nice where I can't speak for anyone else than myself. I just I wasn't as sharp. Yeah, it wasn't a sharp last night. Dodgers' pitching staff in general, the bullpen gave up nine walks last night, three home runs, a couple of hit batters as the Dodgers lost nine to six.

Can you talk about the pressure in the dugouts with Dave Roberts, Dave Walker, Buehler coming off a really good outing. What do you anticipate today? I think bore the same. It's just kind of mixing and matching.
Obviously, he's just seen this team recently, so just kind of figuring out when, how to sequence, when do you use the fastball, you know, change levels kind of it's gonna be be about sequencing. You know, we know his four pitch mix and you know he knows those guys. He's just seen him, So it's gonna be about the sequencing. Do you believe
he's completely bought in after the results he got in his last start. I don't know if Walker will ever be completely bought into listening or taking advice of others, but I do think that kind of you know, getting some of the counsel from some of the pitching guys was certainly helpful and beneficial. So we'll see. But he's got a good mix. I think that, you
know, his last one is something to build on. He said, Barnes told him for the last two or three years before he got hurt to make those adjustments on the rubber, and he finally did in that last start. Well, I'm glad he did. And I wasn't privy of that conversation,
but Austin knows him pretty well. But they do got a good fair share of banter, Like difficult are those conversations to have with the guy when you have to tell him or suggest to him maybe like, hey, the way you pitch before bullying guys like you might not be able to do that now. We might want to try to get you to do something different. Like how receptive was he to that whole kind of approach as he's been coming back.
I think not really receptive. I think that certain guys have a certain way of doing things, and especially when they've had success doing something a certain way, so to be convinced to do it otherwise can be difficult, understandably, But I think at the end of the day, the hitters tell you, and when they're taking good swings and hanging in there against your slider, they're not missing on certain pitches saying that obviously you're not sequencing well enough,
or you've got to go about it a different way. So I think that you know Walker's smart enough to know that the hitters are telling you something. The wheels fell off the Dodgers last night, and that fifth inning, Johann Ramirez, who's been DFA twice already this year, comes in, hits a guy walks, a guy hits a guy to bring in the tie and run. Dave Roberts couldn't run out to the mound fast enough to get the ball from him. The big question though, why Johann Ramirez last night? Well, number one, you can't throw out the same relievers in every situation,
so there are parameters. These guys are humans. They're not part of MLB. The show tim number two, Johann Ramirez is part of the bullpen. So if he's in the bullpen, that's what's at Dave roberts disposal. And I think we found out the reason why the Orioles dfa Johann Ramirez and the
Mets let him go two separate times. Yes, he may have great stuff, but the command is a huge issue, as we saw last night in the fifth inning when he could not get one out and instead walked the bases loaded, hit a batter and the wheels came off as the Red scored six runs with two outs. But that's who was at Dave Roberts' disposal, especially since he was hoping to get Ramirez to get the final out of the fifth inning after James Paxton was ineffective and then bring Ramirez back out for the sixth
inning and that certainly did not go to plan. But that's the reason why David is driven by Ford, America's best selling truck for forty seven years in counting Heady your Southern California four dealers for great offers on a Ford F Series truck or any Ford model during Ford's Memorial Day, Celithon built a ford, a tough walk rebueler on the Mound DV. He grew up downing Lexington, just down the seventy five freeway from Cincinnati. So it's a homecoming of sorts,
it really is. And one of my fondest memories of coming to Great American Ballpark was back in twenty eighteen when the Dodgers came here to Cincinnati, first time Walker Bueller was able to be here in his own backyard. This is a ballpark he grew up watching Major League baseball. His favorite player growing up was Bronson Arroyo, who was pitching for the Reds at the time that
he was really getting into being a baseball player. And I remember back in twenty eighteen, we Bueller and I actually walked from the hotel to the ballpark, and he had a lot of memories and different flashbacks, and it wasn't something we planned. We just walked out of the hotel at the same time.
But tonight pitching in his own backyard. From what I understand from the team director of travel Scott Akasaki, Walker Buehler has requested fifty four tickets for tonight's game, So fifty four of his closest family and friends will be in attendance tonight for his start. Oh think I've got fifty four friends to invite to a game? All right, DV the only of ten that's a high night. Go five. Maybe the weather DV tomorrow afternoon in particular, are
supposed to get real bad, so bad. Major League Baseball has moved to start time for tomorrow's game. That's right. It was scheduled to be at one forty Eastern time, but because of severe weather storms in the Cincinnati area for about fourteen hours starting tomorrow, Major League Baseball, the Dodgers the Reds agreed to move the game up to twelve ten Eastern time, and Dave Roberts said that yes, Yoshi Yamamoto will still start tomorrow's game, even with the
weather threat and a possible interruption. His understanding is by moving the game up to nine ten Pacific time twelve ten Eastern, the Dodgers and Reds will be able to play nine innings without interruptions. But Mother Nature will have the last say on that, as always she does. Time down for the Dodgers. Derby brought to by sen Anita Park. We're gonna pick tomorrow second race at Santa Anita DV. Today, I wanted to take a trip down memory lane, and I headed over to the Reds Hall of Fame Baseball Museum. You did, Oh, you went to the Shrine of the Enemy. I did. I did because the Big Blue Wrecking Crew took that bad taste of everybody's mouth
when they beat the Big Red Machine in nineteen seventy seven. That used to be fun, though, I got to tell you, in that particular era, you look at the Cincinnati Reds, I mean, they were everything in baseball. And then this guy named Tommy Lasorda took over the ball club in nineteen seventy seven. His first full year, he was part time manager. At the end of seventy six, when Wald Austin was going to relinquish the
title as field manager. But in seventy seven time he came aboard, and that's when people started to look at the big Blue Wrecking Crew and the big Red Machine and all the battles that we had at various times. And we've talked about it before, but Sparky Anderson before one of the ball games, don't remember the exact year, but we in Cincinnati in the third base dugout, we'd go down the left field line prior to the game and get loose
the starting eight players. It may have been the catcher would be in the bullpen with the pitcher, but most of the guys that go down to loosen up. That was something that was not really done by all the teams at that particular time. A comment was attributed to Sparky Anderson, a wonderful manager with the Cincinnati Reds. Supposedly he made a comment that said, oh, look at him down there. Yeah, they're running in eight different directions.
Tommy found out about it, because yeah, they're going to be running to eight different banks. Also to make deposits when the season is over, well, you have to get to the World Series. Seventy seven, seventy eight
both of those years lost to the New York Yankees. But that was the beginning of what was a big, big rivalry because people lose sight of the fact that at one time over the years in baseball, there'd been some people that have built the divisions and separated the divisions that weren't very good in geography because Cincinnati was in the Western Division, as was as were the Atlanta Braves at one particular time. So yeah, kind of a miscalculation on geography.
But some great battles here in Cincinnati and at LA between two really top organizations at the time. Well, not only did I go to the Red's Hall of Fame, Rick, but I happen to stumble upon a public appearance by one of your adversaries, part of the big Red machine, and that was the nineteen I need to brace myself for this. Sure it wasn't Pete Rose.
Nineteen seventy seven National League MVP George Foster happened to be making a public appearance at the Red's Hall of Fame when I was there, and they arranged for me to go interview him and ask him a couple of questions, And of course you came to mind right away why would I come to mind if you're in the Reds Hall of Fame, you're talking to George because you beat the Reds. Your seventy seven Dodgers beat them, which, by the way,
terrific player and a wonderful, wonderful human being. I mean that very sincerely. He had a great sense of humor. He told he didn't bury me if you talked to him. Well, funny you ask. This is what he said about Rick Monday. What are your memories of playing against Rick Monday? I always saw his number because I hit home runs. He was trying to chase it down and Rick and I haven't met Rick in string training because we're in Arizona at the time, but he was with Oakland at one
period of time. So but I always saw that he was a he was a good player, and be a white player. He was pretty fast, Hey, one of the fastest white guys. Ray, let me tell you something. No, I wasn't just kind of fast when I first came up. I was really fast. George Foster. If you start to look at it, you know George wound up nineteen seventy seven. He hit three twenty. He hit fifty two home runs that year and in his career three hundred
and forty eight home runs. You look at him and say, well, you know, here's a guy that he won a Silver Slugger Award, five time All Star. He could really play the game, one of the nice people. And sometimes, you know, that's when fraternizing was not allowed. You could get fined by Major League base well if you even had a conversation with the opposing team before, during, or even after a ball game,
if it was on the field. And but he was one of those guys coming in and out of the out of the dugout and going onto the field, he would make some kind of remark. And I smiled when I heard that, because from various times you say, damn, I'm gonna get your number. I'm gonna get your number. That means that turn your back and go go for a fly ball. That was a big ballpark with high fences also here in Cincinnati, the Old Ballpark. But George Foster, you could
do a lot of different things. I'm glad you ran into him because he's one of the really, really good guys that meant a lot to that that big red machine that was so successful for a number of years. Yeah, I was wondering too, because at this point in time, stages of your lives, the rivalry is not as the way it was. But did you dislike the Big Red Machine? Would you say you disliked them? No? No, I respect to them. There was some there were some people on
different teams that maybe you didn't get along. I mean it's like being in the office. You know, there are people you work with, and there are people that you really really like, and there are other people you work with, and that's that's going to be the extent of it. George was one of those guys that you could look at and say, hey, we could be friends. If we were not on on different teams, you could
still be friend lee to to all of them. But he was one of those those good guys until he came up to home plate with the game on the line, they go that rat. Hey he won the National League MVP, but the Dodgers won the pennant. Yeah, yeah, so take that to the bank eight different directions, no doubt, Rick, I love talking about those days with you. Thanks a lot, and we'll check in late. Talk to a good guy, David, not me George. All right, two good guys in my book. We'll send it back to you in

We're joining right now by today starting center fielder for the first time this year, and that's Chris Taylor. Chris, thanks a
lot for the time. The red in your face is all gone now for reals. Yeah, no, we're live now, We're hot, yeah, hot, mics now, Chris. And you're starting in center field for the first time this year. That was a place that you learned back in twenty seventeen. How do you feel about that and is it any big difference do you expect today? No, not really. You know, I feel pretty
comfortable in center and left. I have experienced in both those spots, so you know, for me, it's kind of similar no matter which outfield spotto. Man, I just want to be aggressive and you know, kind of all over the field, just play without aggressive mentality. So some outfielders have told me that left field is actually harder to learn if you've never played there before, just the way the ball angle comes at you. Yeah, I
think center field, you get the truest fight. You know. Typically, you know, you want your center field to kind of take control, and you know, anything they can catch, you know, call the other guys off. So that's probably the biggest difference in left field. Sometimes you have to concede that ball of the center fielder. I'm not gonna say you've lost
a step because it doesn't look that way. But how much different is it trying to get a better jump in twenty twenty four than maybe twenty seventeen. I don't think it's any different, you know, other than the fact that I was playing center field almost every day. But no, it's nothing's really changed. Were you offended by me even insinuating you may have lost a step? Yeah, a little bit. What do you mean by that, I don't know. I mean like it's seven years ago, so I imagine that
you have to get a better jump these days. Yeah, I feel great. Let's just move on, okay. Chris Taylor is our guest, and speaking of feeling great, it must have failed great to get the results that you got yesterday. I know you've been working really hard. Your first extra base hit of the season A big spot there, I mean, even at this stage of your career to get those results, how much does that help
you moving forward to build upon? Yeah, you know, I felt like myself yesterday, which I haven't been there in a while, you know, just I thought the quality of the at baths were better, more aggressive on pitches in the zone. I felt like I was on time for pitches. I missed a few. The pitchers also made a few good pitches on me, So you know, I just kind of felt like I was in control of Matt bats yesterday, which I haven't felt that way in a while.
So to get back to that point and you know, kind of be the aggressor when I'm up there rather than be on the defense is a switch of
the mentality that you know, hopefully I can carry that going forward. Does that mean you're more aggressive early in the counts when you say that, No, I think it's more just the mindset, you know, I'm It's the way you know you step in the box, you know, the kind of having that confidence and you know, trusting your abilities and trusting all the prep you did, and you know, no matter whether I'm on the defensive side of the offensive side, I want to be aggressive. I want to live
and die that way. So yeah, just fall a lot better when you go through this type of start to the season. How how much do you rely upon just your consistent approach and preparation. Yeah, you know, I've had to make some adjustments for sure. Obviously the the beginning of the season wasn't going the way out or this season hasn't been going away I wanted it to. And you know, I've kind of had a chance to gather.
I haven't been playing as much recently, so I've had a chance to kind of regroup and work on some things, and I feel like I'm at a point now where I don't have to dwell so much on the mechanical side of
it. I feel like I'm in a pretty good place. So now it's just back to, you know, playing the game and doing things the right way and kind of letting my instincts take over, you know, the way I used to play, and I think I've lost that a little bit, you know, especially this year, so just trying to get back to that. I've heard hitters say that it's just when you step in the batter's box that day, the feel is there and you've got that aha moment. Have
you felt that recently. Did you feel it yesterday where you have that feel and, like you said, playing like you used to, relying on instincts. Yeah, I just felt better, you know, felt more confident. You know, I wasn't overthinking things, and you know, I wouldn't say I'm locked in by any means, but I just felt like myself, which I haven't felt that way in a while. Chris Taylor is our guest in front of first pitch here in Cincinnati. Chris Walker. Bueller's on the mound
for you guys today. He's coming off his best start since returning from his second elbow surgery. What have you seen from Walker so far in this process? Yeah, you know, he left outing he looked great. I thought it was by far the best he's looked. And since he's come back, which you know, he hadn't pitched and you know, year and a half or whatever it was, so you know, there's gonna be a little adjustment
getting back into the game speed and figuring all that out. And you know, I think that last start was huge for his confidence, and you know, I expect to see more of the same today. It feels like whenever he has that swag and he's chirping a little bit more. That's when you know he feels good about things. Yeah, I think that's what makes him great. You know, that mentality of you know, a little bit of subtle arrogance that he has on the mound. I think that's a great quality
for any player to have. Before I let you go, your first position was shortstop. You know that position really well, what have you seen from Mookie And do you believe that he is playing it at a higher level than somebody that just picked it up two weeks before opening day? Oh? Yeah, you know, he's been outstanding. For him to step into that role in the middle of spring training and be asked to take that on, you know, one of the toughest positions on the field, position he hadn't really
played consistently since I don't know it was high school or what. You know, it's pretty incredible what he can do. You know, we all know he's one of the best athletes in the game, and you know, he's been outstanding. He's worked worked his ass off this year. He's out there taking early ground balls every day with Dino and Niggie, and you know the
improvement is shown then I imagine he's going to continue to get better. I remember you telling me at shortstop you just felt to be more aggressive as an infielder. Is that the mentality he has to have, just have aggressiveness playing that position? Yeah, but I think you know, that's part of what makes Mookie special is he always has confidence in himself and he's he's pretty good at that. He's pretty good at, you know, believing in himself and
playing aggressively no matter where he is. So I don't think that's gonna be an issue for him. All right, Chris, thanks a lot for the time. We'll look forward to seeing you patrol center field today in Great American Ballpark. Thanks a lot for the time. Yeah, thanks for having me. Oh. Always great to catch up with my guy, Chris Taylor. He was the number two overall pick in the twenty seventeen MLB draft. Third season now in the big leagues, make it his eleven start last time out, six and a third, two runs, four hits,

This is his fourth career start against the Dodgers, zero to two with a five forty e r Ray Walker Bueler on the mound, one and one with a four h five ERA. The twenty nine year old right hander is back after two years out from Tommy John surgery. Making his fourth start this season.
Last time out was his best by far, six shutout innings, three hit, seven punchouts, no walks in a win over these Reds, who was his first win in two years. Before first pitch, let's head back out to the booth a great American ballpark brick Monday, Tim never guess, Tim, Thanks again, gorgeous night in Cincinnati for a ballgame the Dodgers and the Reds, Game two of this three game weekend set. As Walker Buehler will take the hill. He's about two hours from his hometown. He's got a
lot of friends and family here watching him. And last time out, Dodger fans were watching him have his best game in quite some time, and he pitched against Cincinnati and had six innings, shut out Baseball just he was absolutely phenomenal in his last start. And that's the kind of Walker Bueler I think people expect to see, you know, I look back to that that he had on May twelve, that was on the Sunday in San Diego. He didn't last long in that ballgame, but that was the first real instance where
we saw Walker Buehler beginning to fire on all cylinders. I said at the time, wondering if that was going to be the bridge for Walker for the
rest of the season. And then if you look at the last outing Saturday, the winning pitcher against these same Reds six innings, he made only seventy eight pitches, did not allow run, did not give up a walk, and struck out seven batters, only three hits, and he was the entire package as we saw Walker Buehler his last outing, and Bieler was pretty forthcoming afterward, talking about an adjustment he made with his foot on the rubber that
seemed to make all the difference. Well, anything that you use that you have confidence in doing, you try and repeat it. And that's the entire case, and you feel that he's kind of in the swing of things. Speaking of swing with Hunter Green, the Dodgers did not have very many good swings and no decision last Sunday at Dodgers Stadium, but he went six and a third, two runs, four hits, he struck out eight and for the Dodgers had to wait and win it in the tenth enning to walk off
by a show. Hey Otani, but Hunter Green is absolutely devastating and he'll register up in triple digits with the fastballs. Hunter Green against Walker Bueller here in Cincinnati. Don't forget a change of game time tomorrow. Will remind you several times they've changed it by an hour and a half up to twelve ten Eastern time. That'll be breakfast in baseball tomorrow nine to ten in the morning. And the reason they're expecting some heavy weather to come through here late in

As the Dodgers, hopefully we'll get out of town just in front of the front's moving in Dodgers and the Reds. Bueller against Green, that's the pitching matchup, and we're getting ready for this ball game tonight at Great American Ballpark.
