And now your voice for Dodger Talk fight Back Tim kits Hell. The Milwaukee Brewers spoiled the major league debut for young Justin Robleski as the Brewers beat the Dodgers this afternoon nine to two. Hi, everybody, and thanks for being with us here on postgame Dodger Talk on this blistering hot Sunday afternoon. Hope you're staying cool wherever you may
be. Our phone number eight six six nine eighty seven two five seventy eight six six nine eighty seven two five seventy If you're one of the forty three thousand, five hundred and twenty eight leaving Dodgers stadiumould love to hear from you. If you're heading back to the Valley of the West Side the Ie the OC eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventy A disappointing day for the
Dodgers. Offensively, They couldn't string together hits in this game, despite having runners on base having traffic on the base pass for most of the afternoon. The Dodgers today one for nine with runners in scoring position. The Dodgers left them loaded in the third and he Pajus flew out in the threat. In the fourth, they had runners on first and second with two outs, and after CT three walked and Showy Otani grounded out, the Dodgers had first and
second one out. In the fifth, Andy pat Has fouled out and Miguel Vargas struck out, so they had opportunities early in the game. Finally, they bust through in the sixth inning thanks to Chris Taylor and a two run home run, his third of this season. But that was it. Offensively,
the Dodgers just could not string together hits. They couldn't get the hit they needed to keep the lineup going and get some more runs on the board for young Justin Robleski, the twenty three year old left hander who he told you two days ago was going to get the start here in this series finale. Started the year in DOUBLEA, told him, made two starts in TRIPLEA Oklahoma City, and gets fast tracked to the major leagues to make the start.
Five innings, four runs, five hits, four strikeouts, two walks through seventy six pitches. He was really good with his command. He was in the zone, he got a head in the count. The fastball ninety five, ninety six he touched ninety seven. The slider was good for the most part. However, he did miss on a slider to Christian Yelich two run home run. Eric Hass connected on a fastball up in the zone,
two run shot in the fifth inning. The only two mistakes that he made today were those two run home runs, and those were costly mistakes that the young Justin Robleski made. But I mentioned it in the Clubhouse show. I love the way in which he battled back after those home runs. And Mookie Betts, who was on Sports and at LA all nine Indians today as a third member of their booth with Joe Davis and Oral Hrscheizer, did a fantastic
job. And we learned so much from whoever's in the booth, whether it's Oral Hrscheiser, who's great, Eric Carros, whoever is the analyst in the booth, We always learn a lot, right, We learned so much from Rick Monday as well. On the radio call here, Mookie Betts was great in talking about Hey, let's see how he battles back after this Christian Yelich home run the fourth inning, and what does he do? He comes back,
strike, strike, ground out to Willia Damas. That shows a young man who doesn't pout, didn't get rattled and comes back after getting hit for a two run home run by Christian Yelich and gets ahead in the count O two, gets the ground ball for an out and then gets Garrett Mitchell first pitch strike three pitches later gets him to pop out to Will Smith the Indian
inning. Good poise, gets out of what is a two run home run, gets the Brewers a two to nothing lead, but he gets out of the inning to go back out there for the fifth Now little rattled runners on base, two run home run from Eric Haas, and how does he get out of it with two outs, gets Cheerio to ground out to second on the second pitch after coming back with the first pitch strike again makes a mistake, could have got rattled, could have got really wrecked out out there on
the mound. And he showed a lot of poise in the fourth and the fifth inning after those mistakes to come back and get him south out of those innings, limit the damage and give your offense an opportunity. But unfortunately, like I said, the third, fourth and fifth inning, Dodgers had runners in scoring position and couldn't get the hit to drive a run in. The only time they did was Chris Taylor's two run home run in the sixth inning.
That was it offensively for the Dodgers today, who had two runs on seven hits, while the Milwaukee Brewers had nine runs on twelve hits. The Dodgers with runners in scoring position one for nine in the series. The Dodgers with runners in scoring position three for twenty one, and they still took two to three to win this series against the Milwaukee Brewers. This is a big
one. This is a first place team in the NL Central, a team that's going to be looking to add at the trade deadline, as are the Dodgers, and a team the Dodgers will see later on in August for four games in Milwaukee, but certainly could see again come October in a playoff series. So this was a good head to head match up. Certainly, the
Dodgers are not at one hundred percent strength and that's what' encouraging. The Dodgers took two to three in this series and one of the games, they're thrown out a twenty three year old rookie who kept you in it for as long as possible. You end up losing the game, but still no mookie bets, no maximunci your rotation, you're still trying to figure out, and you still take two to three from a team that's in first place and still has
the third best record in the National League in the Milwaukee Brewers. So I look at it as a tough loss. Yes, it got away from the Dodgers in the eighth and ninth inning with the two run single from Perkins and then the two more runs of the ninth inning. You move on from this one. You celebrate taking two of three from Milwaukee, knowing where your team's at day off tomorrow. But then you got a big series in Philadelphia at
Citizens Bank Park beginning on Tuesday against the Phillies. Now, for what I've been reading the last couple hours, looks like the Phillies could be getting healthy for this Dodgers series. Bryce Harper on the IL, Kyle Schwarber on the IL. Both of them were running today before the Phillies game, and reportedly could be activated if they're checked out healthwise okay tomorrow and no ailment still so
they could be back in the lineup for Philadelphia. They're still without j t Romuto, but certainly the Dodgers, as we know I just mentioned no Max Munci, no Mookie Betts, got a rotation that they're still trying to figure out and hammered down who's going to be your guy with injuries. So it'll be a good series in Philadelphia, a good test, I think for the Dodgers to see where they are with the best team in the National League record
wise in the Philadelphia Phillies. Congratulations to the Dodgers. Today six players selected to the All Star Game. Five were announced today. We already knew show Hey Otani was going as the starter as the designated hitter in the National League, his fourth All Star appearance, his first in a Dodger uniform. Five other Dodger players were announced today. They were told before the game. It
was announced during the game. Tyler Glass now his first All Star appearance, Freddie Free and his eighth All Star appearance, Mookie Betts eighth All Star selection, Will Smith congratulations of the Dodger Catcher his second All Star selection, and Taeoscar Hernandez his second All Star selection, his first with the Dodgers, and could be participating in the home run derby A cool moment before the game. The players they did find out before first pitch today, and they found out
from their manager Dave Roberts. Here he is addressing the team in the Dodgers clubhouse and telling all All Star players of their selection. This is about the All Star selections. Obviously a special honor. Many people have had this honor, many people have had it multiple multiple times. Truly special, the best of the best. Midsummer Classic. Your family gets to enjoy at kids, and you get to be recognized as one of the best players in the world.
So the first person that got voted in is Mookie Betts. So the next guy, I've said many times over, I think this guy is the best at his position in the game. And he gets another nomination. Rightfully, so will Smith. So the next person, obviously everyone knows that he's not a uniform he was going to be an All Star and uh he's a world favorite baseball favorite and we're very lucky to have him. He's a superstar
through and through Chotani. So I love this. This next player signed a one year contract, as I told you guys this to play for the Dodgers, and with that, he rewarded us by playing every day and putting up a bunch of runs and performing. And man, what a consistent guy and consistent teammates. So Tao, congratulations. I'll be this next guy. I couldn't believe it was his first nomination. So he leads the league in hair and uh, I just couldn't believe it. But man, this guy is
a hometown guy. I'd like to say this was his hometown team since he was growing up. And he finally we made it work that he got to come back home and be a Dodger and and when he takes the baseball we expect to win. He's a top of the rotation guy. And Tyler, your first nomination, congratulated. This last guy is probably on my Mount Rushmore of baseball players. He just plays. He just loves to play the game, loves to show up. He posts, and he takes performance and expectations
personal. And I really have grown to really admire this guy and what he means. He makes me better. And so this next guy, Freddie Freeman, congratulations, You guys guys, all right, there's Dave Roberts before the game today announcing the six All Stars representing the Dodgers. We already knew about Showy Otani, the five other reserves, Tyler Glasnew congratulations to him. Congratulations to Freddie Freeman selection number eight. Mookie Betts with the broken hand, will
not play in the game. We'll see if he goes and enjoys the Midsummer Classic out there in Arlington. Didn't say on sports that at LA whether not he was gonna go or not. Actually, but he gets selected to his eighth All Star game. Will Smith his second All Star appearance in taoscar Hernandez
his second All Star appearance. Before we get to your phone call, I just want to point out a lot of people talk about the game of baseball and where it's at, and well, it's an old person sport and there's not enough youth, and there's a lot of aging superstars, and we're all the young guys to take this sport to the next twenty thirty years down the
road, to the next generation of baseball fans. So I'll make the argument right now, and I'm going to tell you the young guys are here in Major League Baseball You just have to look at where we are as far as baseball and the young talent that is there and the young talent that's going to be on display at the All Star Game. Thanks to Colin Ye for looking this up. Thirty two first time All Stars this year. Go back a couple of years ago there was forty plus new All Stars. Thirty two first
time All Stars this year going to Arlington. Nineteen players under the age of twenty seven. It's a lot of young players, and in particular, I'm gonna give you some names. These are stars. These are young players who are gonna be stars, and people know their name already and they're young. Paul Skins out of Otaro High School, first picking the draft a year ago.
He's twenty two years old for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Twenty two years old, first picking the draft last July, and this July he's gonna be pitching in the All Star Game. Elie de la Cruz twenty two year old shortstop Cincinnati Reds Stud. Gunnar Henderson Stud Baltimore Orioles twenty three year old shortstop Jackson Merrill's twenty one years old outfielder for the San Diego Padres. C. J
Abrams twenty three years old, shortstop Washington Nationals. Bobby Witt Junior, twenty four years old, one of the best young players in baseball for the Kansas City Royals. This is his first All Star selection. Schemes Dela Cruz, Gunner, Henderson Jackson, Merrill, C. J. Abrams, Bobby wid Junior, all young superstars, part of the group of nineteen players under the age of twenty seven, part of the thirty two first time All Stars.
It's pretty impressive as to see the young crop of players that are coming up now in Major League Baseball. And a lot of these players are superstars already household names, and some of them you will know about in the next couple of years. How about locally, southern California a hot bed for baseball, high school baseball. Just look at this All Star selection in twenty twenty four. Christian Yelich. We just saw him put on a show today for the
Milwaukee Brewers out of West Lake High School. Everybody knows Christian Yelich, Everybody loves Christian Yelich. Now he's just heard Dave Roberts to make the announcement before the game. His first All Star selection for the Heart High School product west Lake High School, Heart High School represented, Eltoral High School represented with Paul Skeens. Modern Day High School represented by Ryan McMahon, Rocky's outfielder Jared duran
Cypress High School, cal State Long Beach Red Sox outfielder. Pretty impressive, the young Southern California talent going to the All Star Game, and again the young overall talent that will be playing in the Midsummer Classic. So when people tell you, oh, the baseball's boring, Baseball's for old people. There's no young superstars. Where are the Jeters? Where are the Nomars? Where are the a Rods? Where's the next young generation of superstars that we the
the game of baseball can promote and push forward. You got Otani, You've got Ellie de la Cruz, Paul Skens, Gunner Henderson, c j Abrams, Mookie Betts, Jackson Merrill, Bobby Witt. You've got guys in big markets like Aaron Judge as well. So you've got big time guys in big markets, and you've got young players mixed in there as well. I love it. I love where the game of baseball is right now. I couldn't say this a few years ago, I didn't really feel it. I felt
like it was hurting, and every year it was it was suffering. But I think the rules changes have helped out Major League Baseball tremendously. The pitch clock could go down with one of the best things for baseball. But it's all said and done. I know Summer argue it's hurting the pitching and too many arm injuries now, But for the overall pace of baseball and the game shortening the games to two hours and fifteen minutes, two hours thirty minutes and
none of these three and a half hour marathons. Adapting to the society that we have a short term memory and attention spans that are like NATS. I understand you have to adapt, and baseball has done that. They've done a really good job for a game that's one of the oldest in the world. And now you've got young talent infused with the superstars that are already there.
Baseball is healthy. Baseball is at a good spot right now. Age sixty six nine eighty seven two five seventy eight sixty six nine eighty seven two five seven. We will take a quick time out. We'll come back into your phone calls Jose Mota as well, and maybe here from ta Oscar Hernandez going to the All Star Game. Could he be participating in the home run derby. We'll find out eight sixty six, nine eighty seven two five seventy Dodgers
lose to the Brewers today nine to two. They still take two of three from Milwaukee, and they find out six Dodgers are going to the Midsummer Classic. Thanks for being with us on this hot Sunday afternoon, tim Ka, Colin you and you right here on postgame Dodger Talk on A five seventy LA Sports Live Everywhere on the iHeartRadio app. AM five seventy LA Sports be anywhere at any time, and you can hear past episodes of Dodger Talk all of

One ball, one strike, pitch to Taylor, the swings Hammers at the left. This ball's deep, This ball's don Chris Taylor with a two run home run. That's the Dodgers on the board. It's four to two, third home run of the season for Chris Taylor. Chris Taylor goes deep fist thirty year, four hundred and three
feet to left field. The only Dodger offense of the day is they fall to the Brewers ninety two. Daniels Jeweler is the official sponsor of the trip around the Diamond. Stop by any Daniels Jewler's location and say home run for your free team bracelet and a fifty dollars gift card towards any purchase of ninety nine dollars or more Daniels Jewelers own the Dream Dodgers still take two to three from the Milwaukee Brewers, as they're now fifty five and thirty six. We'll
get back to your phone calls in a minute. Let's check out with Jose. It's time to go around the Horn with Hose Dane log all right, Jose, I don't want to harp on this one. Too much got away from the Dodgers in the eighth and ninth Innyan, But for Justin Robleski finds out last night at dinner that he's going to get the start officially five innings. A couple of hiccups on the helm run to Yelich and Haston the fifth Innian. But overall, what did you take away from the young man and
his poise out there? Oh, this guy's not afraid of anybody in the batter's box. And I think, you know, truly the stuff plays well in the big leagues. It'll play even better the more experience that he gets.
And also tim you know, it's a testament to what the Dodgers have been preaching to young pitchers so much about don't be enamor with the I tell to swinging this and all these things get people out, and to have the ability as a lefty to go ninety six first pitch and then drop to ninety three, then hit a ninety seven and then you go, well, wait a minute, this guy's pitching. I just thrown an effectively. His slider was going to get at a little sharper. He had a great feel for
the zone, up and down the zone. But you know, I will take this tup of outing and this toup of presents anytime, knowing that he got hurt only in a couple of pitches. Yeah, this guy started the year in double A Tolsa. We talked to the voice of the drillers. Dennis Higgins a couple of months ago on off night Dodger Talk, and he said all the roving pitching structures for the Dodgers kept saying how impressed they were
with his preparation, even on nights in which he wasn't pitching. On nights he was a pitching He came in with a notebook, he had a plan as far as what he wanted to do against opponents. Gets promoted to Triple A, makes just two starts there and hopefully we see more of him because the Dodgers are going to need guys like him and Kyle Hurt and River Ryan maybe to make starts here in the second half of the season too long, Jose, this rotation allow for more days off of these guys. You have
to do it. You have to pace these guys going into these dog days coming up. Now. You know, the big dogs need to go out there and welcome the challenge and know that they're going to be taking care. But at the same time, we want to keep that competitive edge and introduce the youngsters just slowly. But you know, going back to Bleski, Tim, this is the Dodgers once again showing the world how the draft is supposed to be done. Okay, Remember, because they have been winning so often
and so consistently, they're not getting the top picks all the time. Look at the round that he was picked in and then how he quickly roll through the ranks, and he's not being compensated for blowing people away. I mean, this guy's a stright thrower. We saw what he did in the minor leagues. With experience, he's going to get better and understand how to navigate
lineus. But also, I think it's important to expose these guys at this level now because as many scouts and people in front officers have been telling me, the Dodgers have the biggest gems. Sometimes. I even talked about who know about Jessin Robletski two weeks ago, right, But this is what he's
talking about. He goes when the Dodgers decide to go out there and get a key guy during the trade deadline, Belima, they have so many pieces that other organizations won, and now this guy is a big leader showed other organizations, and perhaps he's a very good one. Now I'm not trading him, It's not what I'm doing right now. But these are all parts of what happens within the structure of an organization and within the plant and how you
map things out. And this has showed once again that they're on the right path. When it comes out with Pigeon development, we find out six Dodgers that are going to the All Star Game. We knew Showy O'tana was the starter as the designated hit in the National League, but very cool to see Tyler Glass now, Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, Will Smith getting the second
All Star nod and ta Oscar Hernandez signs the one year deal. Comes into La Dodger fans kind of celebrating in the the Otani and Yamamoto signing, kind of slider at the radar and here he is, maybe participating in the home run Derby and having just a great twenty twenty four season. To that big Smileel deserves all these guys deserve it, and I'm sure Yamamota would have been on that they been healthy too, the way he was pitching and throwing the
baseball and getting through big league hitters. But for Tail, you know, one year deal. He comes over here understanding that there's a chance to win. The whole environment has been so spectacular for him, making him a better player. And he's been a great teammate with so many the younger guys and
the veteran guys too. You know, a guy like Shoel Tani. But you know Freddie Freeman talking about earning the players vote, Seim, I can't stress it enough for you over the years, the last twenty five thirty years in broadcasting, how much that means to a player to say, my peers, the people who watch this and know what I do, elected me. And that is the ultimate respect that you can get. The rest of the guys, so glad Ford, will Smith obviously and Tyler, but you know,
the dollars are so deep. As Freddy said, he's gonna take twenty percent of your team. That means that we're really good, right, And I applaud how they all went about it. How they you know, Mookie Best playing shortstop, playing shortstop, he goes to the All Star Game.
Obviously he's hurt right now, But it really tasks you about the whole environment of the culture and something they promote, which is obviously all based that round one thing, which is having good people create that culture, but also winning. Yeah, I mentioned this last segment, Hosea, I want to get your thoughts on this, the influx of young players in the game of baseball and the health of the overall state of baseball. I go back to last
year, thirty three first time All Stars. Last year twenty twenty one, there were forty two first time All Stars. This year there's gonna be thirty
two first time All Star players. There nineteen under the age of twenty seven, and baseball is going to have on its biggest stage Ellie de la Cruz, Gunner Henderson, Paul Skeen, c J. Abrams, Bobby wid Junior, Jackson Merrill, young guys under the age of twenty four on display to show what the next generation of baseball players are going to be around for. It's exciting time for baseball. I think it is doing all the talk you know a few years ago, what's happening to the young people. You know,
we've got to get him back. We don't want to turn off the TV in the fifth or sixth inning, and all these things you mentioned to go along with keeping people engaged and also you know, not forgetting about you know that generation that it's passing it along too. You know, the grandpa's and the dads and everything that goes around with that, to keep the game alive and teach people about the legends and what they've done for the game,
how these people become legends themselves. But I'm glad that young people are so involved in the game right now. They're so engaged in voting. I mean, you see the way things you know swung in Philadelphia. You know, we move with the Potters of San Diego and the Dodgers and things like that. But I think the game is a very good place. It speaks about how ready these guys are at the moment they are drafted. Paul Squeens for example. I mean Godnard Henderson himself too, a guy like eliebe La Cruz
took a different path coming from Dominica. But nonetheless, I'm very excited because these are guys that I want to go down and meet. I get a chance to talk to them when they come to do your Stateum will go on the road because it's part of what we're supposed to do too, pass on the information they come from it. And one thing to is how all these all star players relate to somebody who was listening or watching the TV, the Dodger game, the National game, the radio and Spanish or English. Just
there. Know, there's always going to be a connection with somehow there, especially now with so many guys from told in California, which is great. Well, said Jose, appreciate it. We'll talk to you in a couple of days. All right there, he goes Jose mode. Appreciate him joining us year on postgame Dodger Talk. Dodgers loose to the Milwaukee Brewers by final of ninety to two. Justin Robleski, the rookie five innings, four runs, five hits, four strikeouts in a losing effort, but the Dodgers still
take two to three from the Brewers. We'll start things off our Buddy Ken and Newport Beach. Ken. How are you doing, Buddy? Thanks? So, how did your family like Newport? They like Newport. We haven't been down there in a little while, but yeah, we liked it down there. Yeah you said a few days ago they were up here. No, not no, not not recently. Okay, So I got a question for you, as a former catch on the player who was seeing a lot
of pitches on a lot of hitters. Otani is going to struck out nineteen times in his last twenty games. He's a lot of them looking and he's also an inside pitches pulling his right leg. What are you seeing for all of those strikeouts? I see a guy chase a lot of pitches out of the zone. Ken, I appreciate it. Great to hear from your buddy. As always. I see a showy Otani when he's locked in like he
was was it yesterday? When he's on base five times and driving the ball to all fields and not chasing pitches out of the zone, And when he's flailing open and he's missing on pitches in, up, out, everywhere.
He's chasing and he's even talked about Dave Roberts has talked about it. When he's small, you know, smallens the zone so to speak, you know, zeros it in and doesn't chase pitches outside of the zone thinking he can just you know, with his power, hit a ball on the outside part of the play and still make contact with it and it for a home run or whatever. He's a really good, if not the best hitter in baseball. And when he gets away from that, that's where he kind of gets
some some troubles. And I think you're seeing that at times in the last couple of weeks now when he's dialed in like he was yesterday, not chasing pitches, get it on base becaus of walks, gets hit by a pitch, drives the ball, drives the ball out of the ballpark. That's the Otani that we'd used to be seeing here, Scott in Rancho Santa Margarita, the nine four nine. You know what, Scott good Jim so I hear he's talking about pumping up the game of baseball and help baseball. I'm a
baseball fan. I grew up in the seventies and my dad and Willie May's passed away at a tear in my ISOs stuff. But the thing with me on we pay these players all this money. We never talked about the fan and the price of a ticket. How does that you know, bond I had with my dad going to baseball game or get restored when the price of a ticket is so high. Yeah, it's it's that way across the boards.
Got I appreciate it. It's you know, you go to the store's look at the price of milk, look at the price of bread, I mean things, everything's gone up in price. And gas. It's it's across the board. But in the world of sports, certainly, going to a sporting event at the professional level is not cheap. Baseball, you're going to an NFL game lately, you know, expensive is to get into a football game. How about going to a Laker game? How about going to an
NBA game? In general? You know here in southern California, it's expensive. And when you win and you're successful, people want to go to the ballpark. I get it. It's it's tough to go when when ticket prices are they are in professional sports. Heck, college sports cells go to a UCLA or a usc football game. It's it's not cheap to go to things anymore. To go to a concert, for heaven's sakes, you know, try taking a family of four to a concert at the Forum at Sofi Stadium.
It's gonna cost you one thousand dollars for four people to go see a concert set up in the nosebleed of the five hundred sections. To see your favorite band or group or singer perform. Yeah, I'm with you. The prices in general are skyrocketed out of control. But unfortunately, there's just not anything you getting to be able to do about it right now? You know, this is the way things are. I don't know what else to say. It's not a Dodger issue. It's a professional sports issue. It's a
entertainment issue. It's just the way it is. It's expensive. I mean, here's another example for you. You talk about father and son going to a baseball game. Okay, what the days of collecting baseball cards. I'm just gonna throw this out there because colony has got me back into collecting baseball cards. You've seen the price of a box of baseball cards nowadays. You remember when they were like twenty five dollars, forty dollars for upper deck,
maybe fifty dollars for a box of upper deck. I mean, I'm aging myself here clearly. But in twenty twenty four, to go get a box of tops baseball cards, it's like eighty five bucks. And that's the bottom level tops, just regular baseball cards. You want these chromes, you want the updated ones, you want you know, the bowman. I mean, it's expensive. Everything's expensive right now. Collecting sports cards is expensive. It's not for the kids anymore, unfortunately, which is sad to say. And
again this just kind of goes. Circling back to your comment about it it's expensive to go to baseball games, it is. It's unfortunately expensive to go to baseball games. It's also expensive to do everything else. Brad and Mission Viejo. Welcome to Dodger Talk. Brat, how you doing pretty good? Thanks for taking my call. Are you concerned about over the last forty games the Dodgers are kind of hovering around five hundred. You see them picking it
up the pace a little bit fully starting Tuesday. You know, I'm getting more runs per game as an average because they've been averaging about five. Yeah, well that's pretty good. If you're averaging five runs a game, that's pretty darn good in baseball nowadays. And I don't want to get into the we're in cruise control here in July talk. But the Dodgers are playing basically
five hundred baseball, as you mentioned, over the last forty days. With that being set, they still have a seven and a half game lead in the division. They still just took two or three from one of the other best teams in the National League, the Milwaukee Brewers, and the Dodgers are banged up. No Max Munsey, no real third basement that has established themselves
in his absence. You have Mookie Betts now out three weeks to the day because of the hand injury, a starting rotation that's missing, Walker Bueller has never had, Clayton Kershaw has had an up and down, Bobby Miller who's been hurt, and you're relying on Justin Robleski's of the world, and you're relying on Land and Knack to now be a every five day guy for you. With that all being said, I think the dot are gonna be okay.
I'm not worried about where they've been the last forty days, and you know how they're basically just treading above five hundred baseball right now the long season. And I think this Dodger team realizes over the last couple of years, Okay, you win one hundred and eleven games, but when you're dead, tired, and you're gassed and you've got no arms left come October. But the Dodgers had a couple of years ago twenty twenty one ran into an issue.
Max Schurzer dead arm, Clayton Kershaw dead arm, you ran into problems. So I think the Dodgers are doing a better job of spacing things out, certainly with the playing time and the pitching with the guys that are healthy. And with that being said, I'm not worried about it at all. Eight six, six, nine eighty seven, two five seventy mites. What's going on, Mitch? How you doing? Holking the Dodger talk? Hey, Kim had a good sport? I did? I agree with the young
talent gunner and when they're free agents love the senior as a Dodger. Do you think this kid, say, was Summon? What do you think we'll find out? I don't know if he's got another turn in him next time around. We'll find out from Dave Roberts. What do they got six games left? Maybe he gets to start next Sunday in Detroit. Going into the All Star break, you have to keep in mind the injuries have been a factor. I mean Yamamoto, I mean brought up Yamamotos have been out.
When you're relying on these guys to pitch every five days, and now you've got a Tyler Glass now who, as we've talked about two weeks ago, keep an eye on his innings pitched, can keep an eye on his starts made. They're gonna get up there here past the All Star break near career highs, in which he said just a year ago, which was a year
coming off of an arm injury. You don't want to tax him and max out his innings and push past his career highs as far as innings and starts by August one, because then you still got two months of a season to go and October, so you have to pace this out. You have to be cautious as far as what you're doing with your starting pitchers. So with that being said, I do believe we'll see Justin Robleski again. But also I think there are two other names we're gonna see help out this Dodger rotation
in some capacity between now and the end of the regular season. And that's Kyle Hurt, who's down in Triple O Oklahoma City, who before he went on the injured list, was helping this Dodgers team out as a reliever, and he could come back into that role. And I think River Ryan, who's in Triple A Oklahoma City in the rotation, there could be another young arm asked to make a start here, a start there, a get bit sent back down and then come back up in September and make a couple of
starts to help elongate this rotation for the second half of the season. Congratulations to all six Dodgers who make the All Star Game in Arlington next Tuesday. Tyler ask Now his first appearance, Shoe Tani his fourth appearance, Will Smith's second appearance, Mookie Bets and Freddie Freeman both their eighth All Star appearances. How about Taoscar Hernandez betting on himself signing a one year deal with the Dodgers this past offseason and unheralded signing, and he makes the All Star Game.
He's having a great season offensively. Let's go back out to Dodger Stadium. Ta Oscar Hernandez. Just a little while ago talking with our own David Bassa in the media, tay Oscar, the second time you've been named to the All Star Team. What does it mean? This time? The players voted you and Freddie and Will to the team. Man, means a lot. You know, this is what we were for obviously, coming in here, big city, big team, huge fan base, and be able to do
the things that they expected me to do to help the team. That is most important for me. I know it's great to go to the Ostar game, but being able to help the team and the things that they need me to do, they want me to do and and and get it done the first half of the season. Obviously, we still got a week to go from the first half, but uh, so far has been great. You've said that if you made the All Star team, he would love to be
in the Home Run Derby. Is that still something you're interested in? Yeah? Yeah, why not? Obviously in my career I wanted to. I wanted to be a part of it. Uh see how it feels and why not trying to go for it and and win everything. So now it's official, your name's out there. I don't know. I don't know. It depends how MLV wants to decide yes or no, but I'm able to. I'm gonna be hoping to to participate on it. All Right, there's Taoscar
Hernandez. Hey, Baseball, are you listening. Ta Oscar Hernandez says he's available for a home run derby next Monday in Arlington. You're looking for players, why not ta Oscar Hernandez. He'd be perfect candidate for the Home Run Derby. And congratulations to him and the other five Dodgers heading to Arlington for
the Midsummer Classic. By the way, the Phillies had seven players selected to go to the All Star Game. The Dodgers right behind them with six players selected for the All Star Game.
