Dodger Talk is sponsored by La Care Health Plan, providing affordable healthcare insurance to millions of Angelinos for over twenty five years. And now your voice for Dodger Talking like that, David Vasse. We are live at Dodgers Stadium after the Dodgers beat the Brewers by a final score of five to three. Welcome the Dodger Talk. David Fasse with you until eight thirty tonight on this fourth of July weekend. Hope you're enjoying family and friends and being safe out there.
The Dodgers enjoy beating the Brewers, and it seems like it's a tradition because the Dodgers, especially here at Dodgers Stadium, have dominated Milwaukee. With the win tonight, the Dodgers have won thirteen of their last fourteen games against the Brewers here in Los Angeles, and overall since twenty twenty one, the Dodgers have beaten the Brewers fifteen of the last night teen games eight six, six, nine, seven two five. Seventy is the phone number I thought.
The Dodgers got big games again from Will Smith, who hit a two run home run in the first inning that made it that made it four home runs in his last two games, and then Reyes Hoskins also homered for the Brewers. If you remember last night he hit a grand slamf off of Tyler Glass. Now Hoskins and Will Smith the first two games of this series have combined to hit six home runs and driving nine runs. Also, Miguel Vargas, I mean I said this three nights ago. Just ride the hot bat.
Am I saying Miguel Vargas is the next Matt Kemp. I don't know, You don't know. How do we know unless he gets an opportunity. What I do know is that he's swinging the bat a lot better than we saw at any point in time last year. So he obviously put in the work when the Dodgers sent him down last year. He put in the work during the offseason. He came back a little bit more mature, and he's come back just being himself, not trying to do too much or overthink too much.
And you saw that his preparation paid off in the eighth inning. He was ready for Brian Hudson when he hit that Pinchick go ahead home run, And I thought, Joe Davis, I mean, Joe Davis is on another level these days. He really is stringing together some really good stories on backgrounds of these players and really explaining why they're excelling. And last night, Joe Davis explained how Miguel Vargas has stayed prepared even though he has not had regular
at bats, and it goes back to America's DH JD. Martinez, who texted me during the game last night and told me how much he loves Miguel Vargas and his action and speak louder than words. Miguel Vargas has worked out and hit with JD. Martinez the last two offseasons because they both make their offseason residents in Miami, So that's number one. Number two, I guess
JD. Martinez offered some advice to Miguel Vargas this year. He told him, you know, with the advanced technology the Dodgers have in their batting cage where they can simulate the pitches that any pitcher in Major League Baseball throws, you can prepare that way. And the way Joe explained it much better than I am right now. But the way Joe explained it and the way JD.
Martinez instructed Vargas was during the game when you're not starting. And let's be honest, it's been far and few between at bats and games that Miguel Vargas has had while he's been here with the Dodgers since being called up. So JD. Martinez told him, simulate game at bats. Go in every third when you think your spot in the order is coming up, and simulate at bats against that batting cage simulator. Do that all game long, and
also prepare for who you may see in the ninth inning. So Miguel Vargas has been staying warm and prepared by doing that, even though he may not see and at bat the entire game. He's stayed prepared and engaged in the game that way, and I thought that explained a lot on how Miguel Vargas, when he's been given the opportunity, has been able to seize it. And he did it again tonight coming up as a pinch hitter for Gavin Lux.
He was prepared for Brian Hudson and it showed. And really, I know there was some doubt in the stadium whether or not it would be a home run, but for some reason I thought it had the height, the trajectory and the backspin to sneak over the wall. Did I believe it was going to hit the top of the wall. No, I thought it was going to reach the home run seats at least. But even Christian Yelich was fooled on it because he came in on the fly ball from Vargas which turned
out to be a home run. And after the game we caught up with El Nino Miguel Vargas. You talked about your preparation. How did it help you be ready for that at bad? You know, help me a lot, you know, during the game almost I was watching, you know, the VI aware, you know the whoopings they have, so once I see a letty, you know, trying to be ready for you know, any cuestion on the game, and you know, I think they again we take it about everything else, Yeah, no doubt. But that wasn't just another
lefty. That was Brian Hudson, your former teammate. Were you more familiar with him, Yeah, I ain't know how diy It'll be from a couple of years ago. I have great rochter seam with him, you know, but you know these the game, so I mean feel good if you're you know, trying to help my team and we got the w today. So it's great. You're finally getting the opportunity. Last night the start to run
home run. Today the Brewers come back to tie it up, but Miguel Vargas, a big weapon off the bench, comes up to win the game. How good does it feel to get the opportunity and season? Oh, Fiz Gray, Phiz Gray. You know, I mean I I've always been ready to prevent myself though for you know, opplatunities like this, you know, a time to help my team in anyway. So that's all I try to do. Hey, keep it going tomorrow for Lae Domingo. Yeah,
no doubt about it. It's going to be a Domingo Higante for Miguel Vargas. He gets the start tomorrow, probably in left field for Dave Roberts against Dallas Kaikeel, who is the left handed veteran on the mound for the Brewers. It's going to be strange to see Kaikeel in that Brewer's uniform. And the number one memory I have of Dallas Kaikel is him pitching for the Astros.
So Dallas Kaikel back at Dodger Stadium tomorrow after noon as the Dodgers look for the sweep after beating the Brewers in the first two games of this series and late inning dramatics the last two games for the Dodgers, Freddie Freeman coming up with a big, two out base hit to give the Dodgers the win last night, and then today Miguel Vargas with the pinch hit home run to lead off the eighth inning off of Brian Hudson, who also was tagged last
night by his former team, and Brian Hudson now reeling a little bit here in Los Angeles, as are the Brewers. For good measure. Not only did Vargas give the Dodgers the lead, but two batters later it was sho Hey O'tani with his twenty eighth home run of the year. O'tani now is just second to Aaron Judge in Major League Baseball with twenty eight home runs. Judge has thirty two home runs on the season, and O'tani had a pretty
good game tonight. He got hit by a pitch he walked to set up Will Smith go ahead two run home run in the first inning, and also hit his one hundred and ninety ninth career home run, so he's won away from two hundred in his career. Eight six, six, nine eighty seven, two five seventy is the phone number. Also, James Autman tonight got his first start since being called back yesterday with the injury to Jason Hayward. Autman got the start in center. Pajes was in right ta Oscar Hernandez was
in left field today for Dave Roberts against the righty Freddy Peralta. Autman had two hits today. So great to see James Outman get the start and also has some positive things happened for him. He hit the ball hard all three times tonight and the Dodgers go on to beat the Brewers five to three. Now, if you're wondering about the eighth inning and the ninth inning, which I know some of you may be, it was the right call by Dave
Roberts because he has stayed consistent with his process. And Evan Phillips. You know, we could talk about whether or not he is a closer. One thing I know about Evan Phillips, he's a super reliever, one of the best relievers in baseball. He could pitch in the ninth, he could pitch in the eighth, He could pitch in the sixth inning. The ninth inning
is so different. I'm a firm believer of that, but I have like the way Dave Roberts has mixed and match with Evan Phillips, having Phillips come into the eighth inning or the ninth inning depending on the groupings of hitters, and tonight, Dave Roberts definitely wanted Evan Phillips to face the three best hitters in the Brewer's order. William Contrere's the righty, Yelich the lefty, and Williadamis the righty Yelich. Unfortunately for Evan, Phillips took advantage of a flat
sweeper slider and tied the game with a home run. But Phillips did get William Contreras out, and Contrere's coming into the game tonight, was hitting three forty against lefties. Do you really want Alex Vessia facing William Contreras, who has been one of the best hitters in the National League this year. He's the starter for the NL as the catcher Will Smith more than likely tomorrow will
be named as a reserve. But Phillips got Contreras, striking out Yellich hit him for the home run, but then he was able to get Adamis and Freelick to end the inning. And then Vessia comes in in the ninth inning to shut it down in the ninth, So that was the thinking behind it. Unfortunately, Phillips was not able to execute the pitch against Yelich, but that's not on Dave Roberts. He's sticking with the process. And really, if you look at this game, the Dodgers are down a reliever, a
high leverage reliever. Right now. Joe Kelly is making his way back. They haven't had Ryan Brazier for about two and a half months. But these guys are older pitchers with a lot of miles on them. And that's why I'm a firm believer that if you were to make a shopping list starting pitching, and I was just thinking about it, Yes, another outfielder to lengthen the lineup, and also a closer, and I'm looking at Garrett Crochet.
I'm looking at Tanner Scott from the Marlins, or possibly Kenley Jansen. The Red Sox need a starter. They do not want to resign Kenley Jansen after this season. I know they're in it for the final wildcard spot. But is that going to continue? And even if it does, are they going
to sell on Jansen to get another starting pitcher. It seems like they are considering it from what I understand out of Boston, not to mention, they have Liam Hendricks coming back off the IL in August, so I'm sure they're thinking, is if we trade Kenley to strengthen another part of our team to
make a playoff push. We still have Liam Hendricks coming back. That's a long shot bet, though, and who knows where the Red Sox are between now and then, but they are now in the wildcard race and Boston is not going to accept them trading Kennley Jansen, one of, if not the best closer in the American League, for just prospects down the road, which
means the Dodgers may need to trade them a starting pitcher. Would they consider trading Walker Bueller for Kenley Jansen, who also has an expiring contract at the end of this year. Would I want to see that? No. I would love to see Walker Bueller finish out the year with the Dodgers and see
what he can do. But I believe the Dodgers are in need of another reliever, and whether it's Kenley Jansen or Tanner Scott, it feels like if the Dodgers got another relief pitcher that was a closer, they could free up to have Evan Phillips, Daniel Hudson, Blake Trinin and if Joe Kelly and Ryan Brazier could come back, shortening the game quite a bit, especially with their starting pitching situation. And I will make this bold prediction right now.
I have no inside information other than what we saw from the Dodgers this past offseason. They are all in, which makes me believe they are all in at the trade deadline, and it's very apparent they need another starting pitcher to pitch for them in the playoffs. Garrett Crochet is that guy. I am a big believer the Dodgers will find a way to make it happen, and I know the White Sox are very open to the best offer for Garrett Crochet.
Eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number. Let's go out to HAWAIII. Dana. Aloha, you're on Dodger Talk. How you doing, Dana doing fine? Thank you, Aloha, thank you very much, thanks for being there. You're you know, as fans when we go off on tangents, so we're heading in the wrong direction. You're our compass and get us set straight. So I appreciate that and me in
the right direction, Dana. I tap into the guys that do it, the coaches that do it, the manager that does it, to help steer me in the right direction. Well, terrific. Okay, So I'm going
opposite of you. I'm saying you're at Crochet. The price is going to be too high apparently, And I read something recently where someone was saying, Okay, let's trade has Miguel and Lux and somebody at rushing for Crochet, And I'm thinking that that would be absolutely crazy to give up the farm for a guy that has at the farm as far as how long he can last. Dana, the names that you just mentioned is that the farm. I mean, if that's what the White Sox wanted, I would say, let's
make that deal tomorrow. See, I would say that's way too much of the farm for me. Well, number one, it's not going to be those three players. You know. Miguel Vargas, from what I understand, is a player of interest to the White Sox. You more than likely are going to have to add in one of your young starting pitchers. Not Gavin Stone, not him, but whether it's somebody in the minor leagues or somebody that's just had a taste of the big leagues, the Dodgers are going to
have to include that. And what is the definition of prices too high? If it turns out to help the Dodgers win a World Series, the first full season World championship since nineteen eighty eight, well, I'm just not convinced that's your guy. I mean, I think he's a he's a good picture, right, but he's really good. He's not a one or two guy, is he? Yes? He is. That's why the Dodgers are interested
in him. They're not just trying to get any guy. They're looking for a pitcher that can make a playoff start in Game two, maybe Game three. Looking for that. And Garrett Crochet really impressed myself, Rick Monday, and I know Dave Roberts with the way he pitched against them in Chicago.
So you're you're if I'm your compass, I am steering you that Garrett Crochet is a really good pitcher and a guy that had a lot of mound, presence and guts and is uh not afraid of any lineup, including the Dodgers. Okay, well we'll see what happens. I'm I'm going in the opposite direction. I'm saying, don't get rid of Miguil Vargas. All right, I hope you don't. I hope you who's saying they're going to get rid of all those guys. I'm just saying, if you, if you were
to offer me those players, I would say, let's do it. But I don't believe it's going to be those three players, and don't will be extremely high. Well, that's that's all relative. What is it for a World Series? The Dodgers keep drafting and developing players. They can keep doing it if they trade whoever. You think the price is too high? And what's the guarantee? Uh, until you get to the big leagues, you're just a You're a suspect. To me, you're not a prospect. Yeah.
Well he has had elbow surgery. I'm aware, and he we don't. He hasn't ever pitched any He hasn't pitched that big innings in the major leagues, has he? So why not? Right now? And the Dodgers are better equipped to manage the rest of his season, and he's under team control for two more years. Dana, Let's not lose sight of that either. I'm all in with Garret Crochet. Hey, you call me back after Crochet's first start with the Dodgers. It's a well, let's do it after.
You have to give him a couple of starts, because no one, no, no, no no, You've got to call me back after the first one. You got it, and then you have to send Andrew Freeman some Maceadamian nuts chocolate covered if he pulls it off. I'm gonna be testing Andrew after this call and let him know how I feel. All right, Dana. Thanks, that's a lot for the phone call. Hey, you know him. He doesn't pick up the phone. He'll text you. Eight
six six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number. Dodgers beat the Brewers today five to three. All joking aside, that's really what this is. Right. You have Showe Aotani, you have Freddie Freeman, you have Mookie Betts, you have Tyler Glass. Now the time is now, and the Dodgers have not lost sight of that. I believe They've sent a message to all of us that they're all in this season, and if you haven't gotten that message, you haven't been paying attention. So that's why it's
all relative. Whatever you think the price is too high in prospects, if it delivers a World Series championship, it's not too high. And would I hate to see some of these very talented young players go to another team, of course I would, But to pull off a trade for an impact pitcher, you have to give something up, and there's a lot of demand for Garrett Crochet. Eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number. And if you're looking for another bat outfield bat, I have said
this going back two weeks now. I'm looking at different teams and possibilities, and I'm looking at Randyo Rose Arena of the Rays. He would bring a lot of swag, a lot of attitude to the Dodgers. He has not had a Randy A Rose Arena type season. And the Rays already have sold off a starting pitcher to the Brewers and Aaron Chavali, so they may be even more in the selling mode to try to win next year the year after. And I don't believe it would take that much to get a Randy a
Rose Arena. He's only hitting about two hundred right now, but who knows a change of scenery for a Rose Arena that would allow Dave Roberts to be able to platoon in other spots and maximize those other players. And Randyo Rose Arena, he's a playoff performer. I know we're all focused on Tommy fam He's a great playoff performer and he brings a lot of attitude as well.
A guy like Randio Rose Arena, he does the same thing. So uh, I wouldn't I wouldn't hate that deal either if the Dodgers are kicking the tires on him. Eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number. We're gonna take a time out here on Dodger Talk. When we come back, we'll check in with Jose Mota and also here from Jason Hayward. A great bobblehead day. Love seeing him out here with his family.
I know he was disappointed he was not active to playing this game, but certainly one of the better looking bobbleheads I've seen so far this year in the City connect Jerseys. On top of it so a good night here at Dodger Stadium as the Dodgers beat the Brewers again Holy crap five to three on a five to seventy LA Sports. Dodger Talk is available on AM five seventy

As Dave Roberts said earlier, we'll be back in the starting lineup, and also we may see the major league debut. In fact, we more than likely will see the major league debut of left hander Justin Robleski, who what I've been told from scouts that have seen him, throws ninety seven with late life on his
fastball. He's got the curve ball, he's got the slider. So he made thirteen starts at Double A this year. He was recently promoted to Triple A. He's made two starts there, and the Dodgers need a starting pitcher tomorrow to give Bobby Miller and the rest of the rotation five days rest. So more than likely you will see the major league debut of young Justin Robleski tomorrow. Afternoon. Let's head out to the mysterious Mota. It's tough to
go around the horn with Jose Mota. Jose Mota joins us. Jose. I was looking in the booth. We were all looking for you when a foul ball went into the ten twenty booth. Uh, where was the mysterious Jose Mota with his glove. I happen to be visiting Pops around that time and I heard Rick Monday came in. It's like everybody says, where where was he? We're hear a big thump, So it was like, did he really botch it with a glove on? It was greaty Oh no,
I got to make a play here. In fact, you know political incidents. My my only foul ball catch as a Dodger so far as a dollar broadcaster, was against Milwaukee in Milwaukee. Brides terran into the booths in Milwaukee. So the Brewers have something here. But that was a shoe hill tony man. I kinda kept that one for a long time. That's right, you're right. Uh hey, I guess uh. You have to tell your dad you he was more important than an Otani foul ball into the booth forever,
forever, forever. I would have shown, you know, I would have showy signed them and say, look, go out there and auction it off for a good cost. That's what I would have done. Well, who has the baseball? Now? No catch it just no time as much Now that you gotta make it, you gotta make a play just hit a wall. Okay, we'll go with that. Jose Mona joins us after the Dodgers beat the Brewers five to three. Will Smith has found something. I
know. Aaron Bates told us last week that he was trying to get him to have less tension in his shoulders. Well, he looks very stress free the last two games. Here's what I see a guy like Will Smith. Will Smith is landing on time. That's separation number one. When you are relaxed with your hands, your shoulder is going to be relaxed. Will Smith has always been a very good hands hitter, and that's where you can afford to wait on the ball. And that's what we're seeing right now. Everything
pretty much coming together. And you know very well from Justin Turner's days, in your own words, when that legs you have a high light kick and it doesn't come down on time, everything just gets way out of whack. And I'm glad that he's finding it because you for Will. You know, he he cuts it down a lot with meniscomers, and that's why he's so good. But sometimes he gets a little bit long and his body's not all
in sync. But boy, when he droving the Volta Rice center field with that much power is fun to watch and hopefully this will be the beginning of some bigger, bigger things have gone from him. He was looking like Christian Walker the last two games. He was looking at Christian Walker. Yes, he was Christian Walker. I saw oh for five yesterday. What happened. Hey, he's not playing the Dodgers and he's not playing at Dodger Stadium.
But that's another story for another time. How about my guy El Nino Miguel Vargas getting an opportunity, Jose and staying very prepared for this opportunity. Opportunities come and go, and his mentality has changed a little bit more. And I know he's gotten a lot of help from J. D. Hulu and Neil Martinez obviously because of Miami connections, all your connection but here on this team, to Oscar Hernandez has been on his ear and mainly not even about
mechanical stuff or like adjustments. No, no, no, about the mental aspect of being ready. And I think when you have somebody like JD. Martinez who's had so much success, we had to really go through the ground to be successful. Now you have to ask her here saying, hey, listen, you never know when your basket gonna come, but you have to be ready. There's no excuse. You have to be ready. But you know the main thing I asked to go about this, Dave, and I'll
told you about this about a month ago. I said, what's the biggest difference for you now with the shorter fing goes, my hands are healthy. That's pretty much it. You know, two broken fingers. Last year, I was not myself. I had to be lunging to the swing, long swing. Now he's able to wait on the ball. He's put his work
in to just make sure he knows his zone quite well. But it's fun to watch Aas he mentioned, there's so many resources available nowadays for young players to use, and one of them is go out there and signally and see how your eyes track at baseball. And you know, we don't talk enough about the eyes with a player or the hitter, but think about a good slider is a pisch of that a guy wants to strike you with, not
over the zone, out of the zone. So train your eyes with all these machines you have and all this technology, and I'm glad he's taking advantage of it. But you know what, he is quietly saying, play me because productions well toksin. He's earned it. Look, he told me in San Francisco, when everybody was wondering when was the next time he was going to play, As you said, just a lot more mature, he said, I put my feelings in this locker and that's where I leave it.
And I put this jersey on, and I play for the front. I mean, Tommy Lesorta would foam at the mouth over a players something that, oh, there's no doubt, especially when you are a blue chit guy, and for young players that are used to playing every day and they're used to the headlines, and you're the guy to come into this role and know that
you're not. You know what, I don't like players to say, I don't accept the role, but be the best you can be at that role, because I want every young player to push the limits on every manager say hey, well my production, I want to play. I'm not satisfied not playing. But you don't do it with your mouth, you do it with a production. I think I like young players to push that and do it on the field with a work they put in, as he did on the
defensive snode now taking grambles at their base. He put in the work with Claib McCollum left field and deinal Evil and all of them. But the minds what controls everything. But how do you somebody with you next to you all the time, as ta Oscar does with him is quite valuable because he's one guy that can pull him aside and say, hey, by the way, you could have done better that at that, you could have approached a little
bit better. And then the veteran players peed up the young guys too, off their energy and how they let them play the game so loosely too. Taoskar has been a great teammate. Every time I'm at his locker, Andy pa Has is on the couch right next to him. I mean, those guys really look up to Taoscar, and Taoscar knows how to challenge those guys
in the right way. So you're one hundred percent right, Jose. And as far as another young player goes, James Outman, who was sent down earlier this year, lost his job to Andy Poe has gets called up because of Hayward's injury, comes back today, gets the start, has two hits. Can you show sir with us anything that you saw differently, as far as Outman goes, I was watching video and getting some reports about him since he got sent down into Triple A, and the shorter swing is what he's
going to get him back. We saw today three good contexts. You know, there's one off the end of the batley wasn't out, but at least good passes through the zone. James Outman is so strong that he does not need to over manufacture for power. I like the ability also Dave of swinging early. His numbers are always better when he swings early and counts, but when he swings with control, meaning that he's not looking for a home run
that first pit, second pitch, but control swing. With experience, he'll understand that if I'm going to go out there and swing early, now, I'm going to look something middle in or crowd to play and try to hit gold deep, but with a control swing. Hopefully he'll repeat this. He went down to Triple A, as you mentioned also on the show, and did not mope. He went to work right away first day early BP and let's fix this because my job was to get back there as soon as possible
under control of that. But he did his olling the mont Leaks to earn it back, and hopefully he'll carry into today again a young player that we don't know is going to play again or how much he's gonna play. But man, when your name is called, just be ready because it takes more than just the star guys to get it done, no doubt about it. Jose Mota, thanks a lot for joining us, and uh, hopefully you're ready to make a play tomorrow afternoon. Hey man, Hey, if I
lose Domingo for you too, do Mingo. Listen man, I'm always ready. By the way, thanks for being my compass, Dave. Every single day you are my compass. If I'm anybody's compass you're going the wrong way, I'll just say that I always follow you, my friend. We will thanks Ose. There he goes. The mysterious Jose Mota joins us part of the Dodgers Spanish radio broadcast. Just want to know who has that baseball? Is it their producer engineering after him? Mesa? Is it Pepe and Ningas?
Did he put it in one of his fancy sport codes or did Fernando Vealezuela just pocketed I want to know where that baseball went Jason Hayward. Bobblehead day today. It was a beautiful looking babblehead in those city connects. Those city connects, by the way, starting to grow on me, especially when you see a babble ahead that looks like this one on Jason Hayward. Jason obviously disappointed that he got injured, but very relieved that it wasn't more serious.
And this afternoon I had a chance to catch up with the Dodger veteran outfielder. Yeah, it's there's a there's a quote unquote low point of the day. You know, for me, it's not being able to go out there and play with the guys and and grind with them. Of course, it's your biblehead day. It's it's really fun day to have. So that that's that's unfortunate. But you know, looking at the bright side of things, you know, there's no tear there, There was no miniscus or anything
like that structural damage. I hadn't had anything like that before, so I just really wasn't sure that day, and in real time when it happened, I just knew I hit the wall really hard and then it kind of threw off my timing as far as landing and getting my feet set, and uh, I came down quick, and I just knew something wasn't right and want one to keep going, especially I know what we've been short guys, you know in that moment, but had to get out of there and make sure
that things were okay. And now getting those results. Yeah, like bomb brus swelling and all the natural stuff that's going to happen there. But with the All Star break coming up, take the time to take care of that and get back to helping us out as soon as I can and just being a part of this run we've got to make all right. There's Jason Hayward and certainly understands the bigger picture. He felt that way when he injured his
back. He understood the bigger picture, which is not just about the first half, but finishing the season strong and going into the playoffs healthy and hitting on all cylinders. By the way, it's kind of crazy to believe that
we are getting close to the All Star break. This is the final home game tomorrow afternoon before the All Star break, and then after that the Dodgers closed out the pre All Star Game schedule with three games in Philadelphia and three more in Detroit, and then when they come back after July sixteenth All Star Game, they will open up with a home stand against the Red Sox and San Francisco Giants, three against against Alex Korus Team, four against the Giants.
So here we are tomorrow afternoon, the final Dodger home game before the All Star break. This season is flying and the Dodgers are taking care of business. Think of all the expectations that were heaped on these guys before the season started, with the signing of Otani especially and Yamamoto and the trade with Tyler for Tyler Glass. Now they have been able to block all that out and just play their game. They're fifty five and thirty five on the season.
They now have started to separate themselves again from the Brewers because remember, coming into the series, they were only one game ahead of Milwaukee for the number two seed in the National League playoff picture. But with these two wins to start this series, the Dodgers now have opened up a three game lead
over the Brewers. If they can sweep them tomorrow, Milwaukee leaves four games back of the Dodgers for that number two seed in the National League postseason picture, The Dodgers are fifty five and thirty five, seven games ahead of the San Diego Padres in the NL West, and tomorrow they will have another young pitcher on the mound, expected to make his major league debut. Left hander Justin Robleski will be on the mound for the Dodgers, going up against another
left hander much older and more experienced in left hander Dallas Kaiko. But does Kaikle have ninety seven like Robleski has? I don't think so. Morongo Casino. Dodgers on Deck begins at noon tomorrow with first pitch at one ten. That'll do it for us on Dodger Talk. Thanks to calling you back at our Burbank studios, Thanks to Dwayne McDonald out here at Dodgers Stadium, and
thanks to you for listening. In case you missed any of the show or our conversation with Jason Hayward, you can find it on the iHeartRadio app. And shout out to the two Dodger fans sitting behind my wife and kids today on the field section twenty five row Ioro R. They had a transistor radio and we're listening to Rick and Tim Neverett while they were at the ballpark. I haven't heard that in a long time, so that was pretty cool to
witness. So shout out to you guys, and shout out to my guy wearing a Nomar Garcia Para jersey that came up and said hello when I was down there as well. So love seeing all the Dodger fans, love the tradition, love the passion, and we obviously loved the winning and the Dodgers have been doing a lot of that against the Brewers. Today they win their fifteenth in their life last nineteenth against Milwaukee with a five to three victory.
Have a great rest of your Saturday night. We will talk to you tomorrow. Fox Sports Radio is next. See y
