Dodger Talk is sponsored by La Care Health Plan, providing affordable healthcare insurance to millions of Angelinos for over twenty five years. And now your voice for Dodger Talk like back David Basse. Happy Fourth of July, wherever you may be. David Basse live at Dodgers Stadium after the fireworks show has concluded and Dodger fans are on their way home. Please be safe out there, wherever you are. We're with you until ten thirty tonight, live from Dodgers Stadium on

Dodger Talk. Phone lines are open at eight sixty six nine eighty seven two five seventy. We will hear from Jose Mota, we will hear from Clayton Kershaw, who we caught up with after his bullpen session today, and we will take your phone calls. Lines are open at eight six six nine eighty seven two five seventy. After the Dodgers fall to the Diamondbacks tonight by a final score of nine to three. The Dodger offense struggling in the last two

games. Last night, the Diamondbacks scored eleven unanswered runs against the Dodgers after they took a four to one lead in the first inning of last night's game. Tonight, the Dodgers were not heard from outside of Austin Barnes hitting a flare with two outs in the fourth inning to get the Dodgers back in this game and also give that Dodger dugout some life. Really, that dugout has

been lifeless for the last week or so. And that's what I've been talking about, talking about playing with urgency, not allowing complacency to set in. And in a game that Zach Gallen only pitches four innings, you would say the Dodgers won that game. If I told you after the fireworks show somewhere else in Los Angeles, I said, hey, tonight at Dodgers Stadium, Zach Gallen only went four innings, I bet you would believe the Dodgers won

that game. That's a game you should win when Zach Gallan throws eighty five pitches in four innings. Instead, the Dodgers lost nine to three, and once again, Dodger killer Christian Walker hit two more home runs tonight. He drove in three runs. He has now homered in five straight games at Dodger Stadium. He became just the second player ever to hit five or more home runs in a series of three games or fewer against the Dodgers. The last

guy to do that was Don Miller back in nineteen fifty one. So basically, Christian Walker has done something here that no other player has done in quite some time. And also now Christian Walker has the most home runs hit at Dodgers Stadium since twenty eighteen, nineteen home runs hit here at Dodgers Stadium.

And I thought it was somewhat humorous that in his fourth played appearance, Dave Roberts, with two outs in the inning and a runner at second base first base open, put up the four fingers and Dodger Stadium cheered like something really good happened. So that's where things were tonight. And not only do the Dodgers lose this game, they also lose Jason Hayward with a left knee injury.

Jason Hayward is expected to have an MRI tomorrow, and if Jason Hayward is on the show for an extended period of time, James Outman has done really well at Oklahoma City, and basically the Dodgers were not going to call Autman back up unless there was an injury type of situation, which right now, there may be. It's never good to hear Jason Hayward not sound optimistic

about an injury. He's a veteran, aging veteran in and when you leap and you come back down and your left knee is hurting, that's not a great sign. James Outman has cooled off a little bit in Oklahoma City, but his ops is at nine twenty four. He has nine home runs and twenty one RBIs, so he may be on his way back to Los Angeles if Jason Hayward has to go on the injured list. Eight sixty six,

nine eighty seven, two five seventy is the phone number. Before we get into all the different scenarios that are running through my head right now, I just want to point out what in the Hector Nearest was going on in the ninth inning. This guy Thiago Vieira. Thiago Vieira, I mean, you would think he just closed out the World Series against the Dodgers. You didn't

even get the save. It was nine to three in the ninth inning and he struck out Cavin Bigio, the last guy on the Dodgers bench, and he's pounding his chest like Hector Nearest back in twenty nineteen in Philly, and I was looking at that Dodger bench to see if there was anybody like next Monthsey or Kershaw that were staring down Tiago Vieira. I didn't see that. Ta Oscar Hernandez was the only one that was kind of doing that. But

that's something to put in the memory bank. And if you Dodger players weren't noticing that, you're welcome, eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number. A few Dodger players did not realize when I told them they've been playing basically five hundred ball over the course of the last thirty five thirty seven games, well over the last thirty seven. Now the Dodgers are twenty and seventeen, so yes, it's not five hundred ball, it's

three games above five hundred. And yes, the Dodgers are still well in control of the NL West, no doubt about it. But things can go sideways quickly. The Padres have won two in a row. They're now forty eight and forty three. They're six and a half games back of the Dodgers in the NLST, and more importantly, the Dodgers should be very thankful.

Heading into this series against the Brewers, they maintain a game lead over Milwaukee for the number two seed in the National League playoff picture, because, as you know, the top two division winners record wise get that buy in the first round of the playoffs. The Dodgers and Braves have been those two teams the last two years. The Dodgers are five games back of the Phillies for the number one seed, while the Brewers are only a game back of the

Dodgers for that number two seed. And wouldn't you know it, the Brewers are coming to town. The Brewers are coming to town. The Brewers are coming to town starting tomorrow night for a big three game series. Tyler Glass now going up against the newly acquired starting pitcher from the Tampa Bay Rays, Aarons, who is two and six this year with an ERA of five zero seven. The Brewers were in desperate need of starting pitching and could not wait

for the July thirtieth trade deadline. Eight six six nine eighty seven, two five seventy is the phone number before we get to the phone calls. I will say this again. I brought this up last week, and I'm just scouring different players teams, And obviously there are certain teams Andrew Freeman has made more trades with than others. The White Sox, the Reds, the Rays

come to mind. And Ken Rosenthal wrote earlier this week the Dodgers are ideally are targeting a starting pitcher and also an outfielder that could play every day, so they could platoon Andy paj Haz, which was the plan to platoon with Jason Hayward. According to Rosenthal, to be able to have an everyday left fielder or outfielder, I should say, well, the reason why I said left fielder, I'm looking at Randio rose Arena. He has not had a great year. The Dodgers can buy low on him. He had an awful

first two months of the season. The Rays are obviously selling players. It started with Tyler Glass. Now in the offseason they just traded I wouldn't say a very good starter, but a serviceable, above average starter in Aaron Chivale for the Brewers. And why wouldn't they stop there? Randio Rose Arena, who is hitting barely two hundred, but in the month of June came to

life and almost hit three hundred. Randio Rose Arena, buy low and you got a guy that will hit and extend that lineup and give you maybe some production and a threat presence at the bottom of your order. I'm not saying Randio Rose arena cleanup hitter, but let's say he's hitting four, five, six, seven. That can lengthen your lineup, especially when Mookie Bets and Max Munsey come back. So that's just the thought from this point of view.

You know, the Dodgers are going after a starting pitcher. It's obvious they need a starter. Ever since Yamamoto went down there, era as a staff is or a starting staff is over five now with what Nac did tonight. Another guy that I feel like if the Dodgers can't land Garrett Crochet, I mean that guy is in quite some demand. I'm all in on Kevin Gossman. Bring him back to the NL West. I was talking to Cavin Bigio about him. He said he's an incredible competitor, and you love to

hear that. And he did really well pitching in the NL West with the Giants a couple of years ago. He would be a playoff caliber starter. Eight six, six, nine, eighty seven, two five seventy is the phone number. Let's go out to Alan West Covina. You're on Dodger Talk with David vasse Hi al mister rassa happy for man, just sitting here cookt and n octopus with my pops, you know, watching the fireworks in the

front seat. We didn't get to watch the game. But for the thing that you mentioned about the dude pounding his chest at the hand man, that's something. I hope that that registers into the whole club because it's like, dude, like it's like they're asking for it. But at the same time, you know that team has knocked you know, they knocked us out last year, despite us being the supposed you know, overlords of the West. We you know, I hope this is the catalyst. So this is the

thing. The lots of lights, the fire dude, and we get at these and we get at it and the Brewers Schmooters. I hope tonight's lost. Dude really really does it, man, because you you said it right there, man, like regardless if people noticed that or not, but like, I hope they do know it. Student. And yeah, so we're almost to the mid season. Hopefully everybody had a good fourth of July. I mean, despite the last but let's keep on going. Go Dodgers.

All right, Al, thanks for the phone call. You heard Jason Hayward say it. The Dodgers are going through a season and they are still on pace to win close to one hundred games. Last time I checked, they were on pace to win exactly one hundred for the fifth straight full season. They have a lot of injuries, and they're playing guys that aren't necessarily guys that you play every day. Gavin Lux, Chris Taylor, Keith a Hernandez to a certain extent, Jason Hayward. He had a bad back to start

the year that put him out. He's hitting close to two hundred, so who knows how his body has been feeling recently. So they are going to get Mookie Betts back probably the first couple of weeks of August. You hope Max Munsey is back before then or close to then. Dave Roberts said to he's not sure when munths he's coming back, but he would venture to say it's not going to be right after. So they have some holes to plug even with those players, but with them missing, they have holes to plug.

And like I said, I remember back in nineteen ninety one, the Dodgers had a super talented team. I would say almost as talented as the twenty twenty four Dodgers. They had just signed Darryl Strawberry, who was at the height of his career. He had twenty eight home runs that year. They had Hall of Famer Eddie Murray in their lineup. They had Brett Butler, they had Mike Soshia, Gary Carter cal Daniels, a platoon of Lenny

Harris and Mike Sharperson at third base. They were a really good team when they went into the All Star Break, and by the way, Ramon Martinez was on his way to win a Cy Young Award. But the last game before the All Star Break, I remember it vividly. It was against the San Diego Padres. There was a third baseman that used to play for the Angels was playing for the Padres at that season. The last game before the All Star Break, Ramon Martinez is dominating again Sunday afternoon line drive off his

pitching shoulder. He did not go on the injured list, but he was never the same the second half of the year. The Dodgers had a nine game lead over the third place Atlanta Braves when they started the second half. The Dodgers lost the division by one game that year. So I'm not saying the Dodgers are doing that now or that's going to happen this year. But and by the way, the division back then was much better than what it is right now. But I'm just telling you it's not out of the realm

of possibility. If the Dodgers don't find a way to get better pitching, better starts, better outings, that this could turn into a Pennant race in the second half of the season. Do I believe the Dodgers are not going to win the NL West? I do not. I believe they are going to win this division in a pretty good way. Right now six and a half game lead. I could see them winning it by that much depending on

what the Padres do. But certainly, you know they have to keep an eye on the Brewers because do the Dodgers really want to play in that best of three wildcard series. I know there's been complaints about those five day layoffs, but I don't think that's ideal, especially with the way the Dodgers starting rotation is looking currently. Let's go out to Mission Viejo. Brad, You're on Dodger Talk with David vasse Hi. Brad Hi, thanks for taking my

call. Yeah, it looks a kind of mediocre right now. In fact, the Dodgers have lost both the home series to the Diamondbacks, and I guess that they say the last time the Diamondbacks won the series here prior to these two series is twenty nineteen. And do you think they're a better team right now than the Dodgers, even though it's just temporary. I do not believe there are better tea. I think they're a really tough matchup for the

Dodgers, and they caught the Dodgers on a downturn right now. You ask any player, manager, coach, it's not about the records. It's about when you catch a team. And right now, the Dodgers are a wounded team. They're not playing well, they're not pitching well, and the Diamondbacks are playing with a lot of urgency. You heard Stephen Nelson mention the conversation we had between innings him and Rick We're talking about the playoff picture and how

so many teams are still in it in both leagues. But the Diamondbacks are kind of on the fringe right now because the players are aware of this. If they don't start winning here over the course of the next thirteen games, they are going to be sellers. This started a thirteen game stretch. This series started a thirteen game stretch for the Diamondbacks, Dodgers, Padres, Braves,

Blue Jays with no days off. This is a make or break stretch for the Diamondbacks, and the players know it, and they do not want the front office to start selling off and give up on them and the season. And so that's why they came to Dodger Stadium. Playing with a great sense of urgency. Eight six six, nine eighty seven two five seventy is

the phone number. Speaking of playing with a great sense of urgency, it feels like Dodger Killer Christian Walker since twenty eighteen has had that sense of urgency and heightened focus every time he plays the Dodgers. He's been unbelievable playing against the Dodgers, and certainly this year on a different level, he has done things that we have not seen a player do this year to the Dodgers. Nine home runs fifteen RBIs against them in nine games. And I felt compelled

to track down the Dodger Killer before today's game. We all know how well you've done here at Dodgers Stadium. Is it something about the way you see the ball here? Is it the heightened atmosphere here at Dodger Stadium? Can you put your finger on why you've excelled? No, I mean a little bit of both, you know, all of the above. It's you know, it's definitely a you know, there's a there's a play to your competition type type expectation when you come here. We know, you know that the

Dodgers are gonna give us some some good games. And yeah, it's you know, I wish there was you know, a rhyme or reason to it. It's just I think it's just one of those funny baseball stats. When you go inside that batter's box last night, obviously you're locked in. Is there a feel, like you can use an analogy sort of like Klay Thompson or Steph Curry when they're making threes from half court? Is there that same feel in the batter's box for a hitter? I know, I know,

you know. One major difference that comes to mind is is just the size of the park. Not that this is like a small park by any means, but playing at Chase. You know, I hit a ball last week that was a four hundred and twenty foot double, So like wow, right, Like sometimes it's it's a little daunting feeling like you have to hit the ball so hard and so far to get rewarded there at Chase sometimes, And

you know, there's there's other pros that come with it. There's a lot of doubles, there's a lot of triples to be had in that big outfield. But you know, I would say maybe maybe it takes a little bit of effort level out where, you know, maybe on that like eighty ninety percent effort level and it's maybe a little bit more efficient and just trusting that you know, if I put a good swing on it and put the ball in the barrel, I can be rewarded for it. So you have twenty

home runs this year? Are you telling us your short change playing in what hitters consider a hitters ballpark? No, you're talking about Chase. Yeah, Yeah, that's not a hitters' ballpark anymore. I think I think five or six years ago it definitely was. But I think since you know, the humidors have been added, and it seems like the league is trying to regulate

how the ball, how the ball flies around the league. You know, there's still some parks that it's it's still a good place to hit, right, Like Cincinnati comes to mind, Colorado comes to mind, stuff like that. But yeah, for whatever reason, you know, I just I enjoy, I enjoy competing at Dodger Stadium. All right. There he is Dodger killer, Christian Walker. He's let his bat do the talking this year and

since twenty eighteen. But that's what he sounds like, that's what he feels and gave us some insight on why he does so well here, especially at Dodgers Stadium. And I will say this, there's only one other player that I remember doing this much damage against the Dodgers during my time of watching Dodger baseball my entire life, and that was a guy by the name of Jim Eisenreich. Jim Eisenreich was a Dodger killer from the early nineties, and even

when he got traded to the Dodgers, he was so bad. He was a Dodger killer when he was wearing the uniform. Jim Eisenreich, in sixty three career games against the Dodgers, hit four h five and had an OPS of over one thousand. Christian Walker now is in Jim eisenreich territory as a Dodger killer. And by the way, Eisenreich, he was on the march Orlins when Mike Piazza was traded there and was part of that trade. And when he came to the Dodgers, he did not help them win many games,

So he was a Dodger killer even wearing their uniform. But Christian Walker and Jim eisen Reich in the last thirty years go down as a Dodger killer, and eisen Reich was not a power hitter like Walker. Walker has seventeen nineteen career home runs against the Dodgers. Eisenwreich did it with, you know, just paper cuts over and over again, with forty six RBIs and an OPS of over one thousand and sixty three career games. And he wasn't even

playing in the same division. He was mostly playing in the NL East with the Phillies and Marlins. But Jim eisen Reich and Christian Walker certainly Dodger killers. Eight six, six, nine eighty seven, two five seventy is the phone number we're gonna take a time out here from Dodgers Stadium. When we continue, Jose Mota will check in, and also you will hear from Clayton Kershaw. He threw a bullpen session on fourth of July. You'll hear what

he had to say about it. When't we continue. After the Diamondbacks scored twenty one runs in the last two games to beat the Dodgers nine to three on a five to seventy LA Sports on air at AM five to seventy, online at AM five seventy LA sports dot com, and available my podcast on the iHeartRadio app. This is Dodger Tom with Damn mass Send. Gotta be careful with Jock Peterson on this three to one. Peterson swings and drives one right field hit deep at the wall. Heyward. He leaves up and that

ball is gone. October in July at Dodgers Stadium. Unfortunately, he's not wearing the Dodger uniform anymore. Jack Peterson with the second home run of the series for him in this three game set that the Diamondbacks won. The last two he was part of back to back home runs in the first inning with Christian Walker. The Diamondbacks tonight on the fourth of July beat the Dodgers nine to three. Daniels Jewelers is the official sponsor of the Trip around the Diamond.

Stop by any Daniel's location and say home run for your free team bracelet and fifty dollars gift card toward any purchase of ninety nine dollars or more. Daniels Jewelers Own the Dream. It's time to go around the Horn with Jose Mota. All right, Jose Mota, I hope you got to enjoy fireworks somewhere, whether it be at Dodgers Stadium or on your drive home. Java was great. I have to see the spectacle going on everywhere pretty much.

Theres some small too, but you know what is a great celebration. And again, Happy Birthday America. Okay, Jose. The fireworks were off the bat of Christian Walker again tonight. The Dodgers try to pitchim differently, it

did not matter two home runs tonight for Walker. He obviously made history and like I said, he is certainly the number one Dodger killer that I can remember, outside of Jim Eisenreich. Well, if they try to pitch him differently, he knew exactly where to sit on right I mean guys like that that come in and do so much damage with one team have done their homework

and understand that if they try to go something different. Are you going to do is say, Hey, somebody's going to throw it fastball somewhere at some point in some count. But if I see it, I'm not going to miss it out. Consider this too. His swings are not wild swings.

They're pretty control swings. You watch batting practice, he does this one droe hoo, no stride, or I might wonder he waits until the last minute to make, you know, take a swing, But you know, in short with him, I'm glad he he's not going to be here anymore now.

And then on top of that day, he's going to be a free agent at age thirty three that he's playing in and to me, there's no better face for the DBACS, and he should be a something they're gonna have to consider and stretch out their dollars because he belongs there, no doubt about

it. Twenty two home runs now, that's the most by any major league first baseman this season, and I thought in the third inning when he hit that two run home run off of Landon Knack, I know we played the home run from Jock Peterson, but I thought the key at bat in that inning was with two outs and Landon Knack let Jock Peterson off the hook. All of a sudden you don't have first base open, the inning is extended,

and now Christian Walker is back up there. Save There are so many little situations that change an inning and then change your sequence about what you're gonna do with the next batter. And it takes one at bat, It takes one one walk for you to go, well, now, I want to have that kind of freedom. But you were sitting there with Clayton Kershel when he was talking about he has some ideas about what to do against Frisher Walker that he could be taking care of inside. But you know, for a

guy lie the neck, obviously he's not a command guy. He's a guy that's still trying to get his feet in the big leagues. And some of those pitches were just not pictures that you're gonna make to a guy who is that hot. And then if you get too far out and go to the extroup, say hey, don't get him anything good, then you're asking him to not throw strikes. You know, the one thing these young Dodger pitchers

do is they do through a lot of strikes. What he's gonna learn, though, is quality strikes matter a whole lot on this level, and it could be three or six inches difference where a guy like Walker cannot hurt you. Jose Mota is joining us after the Diamondbacks beat the Dodgers tonight nine to three at Dodgers Stadium. When you hear Jason Hayward talk after the game, Jose, are you getting the same sense that I was? It doesn't sound good for his left knee. Yeah, it doesn't. You know when he

talked about the adrenaline wore off that he's starting to feel it. That just is very revealing because athletes will tell you that when the adrenaline's going in your game, there are a lot of things you don't feel. You continue, you know, pump yours up and so I gotta be ready for this game. But things that happened very quickly, and we talk about imaging and somebody that understands his body. He's a big man. There's a lot of weight when he jumps and comes down, So to me, it is concerning.

So you could out up opportunities for somebody else and last time we're talking about Argos, and Bargos again comes through today and gives you a pretty good at bat. So you don't want to lose a guy like Hey, what would because he means a whole lot to here. He's not producing right now, so we cannot hide that. But hopefully if the worst comes and he's under Iyel, there's some good options out there because this offense needs a spark.

This series is going to provoke I think changes, and there's no way they can justify this type of offense even without Mookie Besz and Max Munsey to score in one inning in their last seventeen innings, that's something that it just doesn't go very well, no doubt, two of their last seventeen for the Dodgers. And they have a big series now Jose against the Milwaukee Brewers. I've laid out the playoff scenarios so far. The Brewers are sending out their newest

shiny toy, Aaron Savoliv that they required from the Rays. The Dodgers are sending out their best starter. So it kind of feels like both these teams want to send out their best and want to win this series well, and the Brewers an urgency. I mean they know that they're a little short on their pitching staff. Dallas Kaiko is going to be seen around here to if things lined up the way they are, so that's what you have to do.

I mean they've been proactive. Dallas Kaigo got pulled out of the Triple A team in Tacoma is because they didn't want to wait till the very end somebody else go out there and take it. And they're counting on him as experience and what they saw, at least from the way he pitched Triple A

to go out there and pick them up. But this series is also going to be one where it's going to be apart revealing because it's like the Dodgers need to find out why the Brewers are still where they're at in that division, and then what the DBACS posts against the Dodgers are things a team are taking notice of, knowing that if you take care obviously the first four of the lineup for a first final lineup, there's some holes in which you can

go out there navigate and and Pat Murph, I'm quite sure he you know at the Helm now wants to show Dave Roberts at the he can do the job and know that his team is still capable enough as grinders to go out and you know, neutralize You What is it about the Brewers and Reds that they have a way to pick out some of the best local kids from southern California. Part of the reason why the Brewers are so good a lot of

their young players are out of Southern California. Joey, Joey Ortiz. Their rookie sensation is from the Ventura area scouting, and certainly where you are able to draft has a lot to do with that. Dave. You know very well that you know there are certain teams that are going to miss a lot of the local kids because of where you draft. But there's teams that heavily focus on certain areas in which they go out there and execute and find some

gems. Sometimes they find are not the guys that everybody or every scout is following. But the Brewers through this, through the years have done a very fine job finding those gyms here in southern calif One and hopefully those gyms will not come here and some damage against the LA team. Hey goes all the way back to Robin. You out of tap High School in Woodland Hills. Come on, you have to go Thereic Hall, come on, Hey, he's the most famous Brewer and valley guy, Robin Yount. He's an athel

standing. Oh what a player, short stop outfield, go glover here and there. RBI got home runs and he made that team tremendous when he was flying, for sure, and he was the face and got the go to guy in tough situations. The great Robin You all right, Jose Moda, We'll see you out here tomorrow night. Should be a fun series between the Dodgers and Brewers. Hey, Tyler Glaff. Now, first time he's had to rebound from something like what happened with him San Francisco as a Dodger.

So time now to show where you are number one. Yeah, let's see that. Let's see how he bounces back from adversity, no doubt about it. Can't wait. All right, Jose, thanks for the time. There he goes Jose Mota part of the Dodgers Spanish radio broadcast with Pepe and Inguaz and the Great for Valenzuela. It was great that Dodgers Stadium recognized our own Rick Monday tonight during the game, they showed the clip of him saving the

flag back in nineteen seventy six. Pretty fitting that he saved it that year and then the following season he was a Dodger, so very cool to see that and him being recognized on our nation's Independence Day. The Dodgers always do a great job on the fourth of July. But we hope to see you

out here for a big three game series against the Milwaukee Brewers. Hopefully Jason Hayward's injury is not as bad as you know, we kind of feel right now with the way he was describing the pain on the outside of his left knee as far as injuries go. Dave Roberts also said he's not that optimistic that Max Munsey is going to return immediately after the All Star breaks, so we'll see when Munsey comes back. So they're without Munsey for a while.

And also Clayton Kershaw, who had a little bump in the road and his comeback from left shoulder surgery today through a bullpen session for the first time since that little hiccup in the road, and it was a thirty pitch bullpen session. You sit. He threw the fastball, the slider, the curveball, And here's what he said when we caught up with him after it was all said and done. You know, it doesn't really matter how good you do out there. It all matters. It's how you do when the lights come

on. So I really just wanted to check a box today without giving away too much. During this whole period of time, is there when we do see you pitch? Is there new pitches that we may see that you unveiled during this period of time. Have you had a chance to mess around with new things? I mean, I through some change ups in that lot we

have started Rancho that. I mean, they're pretty decent results. So yeah, at the end of the day, I really don't know, you know, I think when you get out there, stuff changes, obviously, so you kind of rely on what you've been good at in the past. But it nice to be able to throw a change it every once in a while. But I really don't know. We'll see Oay, have any answers for Christian Walker that you could share. I've got some thoughts. Yeah, not

for for our guys, not for you though. Yeah. Yeah, not sure if he shared that with Landon Nak because Christian Walker hit two home runs tonight, So whatever thoughts he had maybe not executed tonight. But Christian Walker continued his reputation as public Enemy Number one here in Los Angeles with two more home runs against the Dodgers to help Arizona beat the Dodgers nine to three and score twenty one runs in the last two games of this series, and the

Dodger pitching staff in the last four games have allowed thirty eight runs. Hopefully Tyler Glass now can stop the bleeding tomorrow against the Brewers. Dave Roberts did also say Bobby Miller is not going to start on four days rest on Sunday, there hold him back for the Philly series which begins on Tuesday, meaning they need a starter. And I find it very hard to believe that they are going to go to a straight bullpen game, considering how much the bullpen

has been taxed. Ryan Yarborough always seems to be part of these type of games, and Dave Roberts hinted they may call somebody up for a spot start. The one option that stands out to me the most is Justin Robleski, who made thirteen starts in Tulsa and was just recently promoted to Oklahoma City. He has made two starts there, so he may be an option to piggyback with Ryan Yarborough. So we'll see what direction the Dodgers go on Sunday.

But they have to take care of business tomorrow night with Tyler Glass now on the mound. As I mentioned, the Brewers are sending out their newly acquired starter, Aaron Savallee, who is making his first start with the Brewers. He was two and six with an ERA of five zero seven with the Rays and Tyler Glass noow this year eight and five with an ERA of three twenty

three. Jose Motor brought up a great point. Let's see how Glass now bounces back from maybe his worst start as a Dodger back at Oracle Park last weekend Morongo Casino. Dodgers on Deck begins at six o'clock tomorrow with first pitch at seven ten. That'll do it for us tonight on Dodger Talk. Thanks to Colin Yee back at our Burbank Studios, Thanks to Dwayne McDonald out here at Dodger Stadium, and thanks to you for listening if you missed any of

the show, or if you can bring yourself to listen. To our interview with Christian Walker, the Dodger Killer. You can find it all on the iHeartRadio app once again. The final score tonight from Dodgers Stadium. The Diamondbacks defeat the Dodgers nine to three. Have a great rest of your Fourth of July. Please be safe out there. We'll talk to you tomorrow. See you can you s
