Dodger Talk is sponsored by LA Care Health Plan, providing affordable healthcare insurance to millions of Angelinos for over twenty five years. And now your voice for Dodger Talk, hie back David Vasse. We are live at City Field in New York after the Dodgers snapped their five game losing streak by sweeping the doubleheader today against the Mets. Welcome the Dodger Talk David Vase with you until eight thirty tonight here on AM five to seventy LA Sports. We have two lines open

at eight six six nine, eight seven two five seventy. The Dodgers, in case you missed the first game, came from behind. They were down two nothing and then started chip away with Freddie Freeman RBI single in the eighth inning and then a Chris Taylor safety squeeze with runners at the corners to tie the game and send it to extra innings. That's where Hookie Mets hit a go ahead base hit, and then Freddie Freeman hit a two run home run

to beat the Mets five to two in ten innings. And then you have Gavin Stone pitching seven scoreless innings, striking out seven and not walking a single batter to win his fifth game of the year, and the Dodgers, all of a sudden, now after being swept in Cincinnati and not feeling great about themselves, are now with a two game winning streak looking to sweep the Mets here in New York. And let's not make any mistakes about it, the Dodgers are catching the Mets at a great time. They are one of the

worst teams in baseball right now. Defensively, one of the worst teams in baseball. And that reared its ugly head in the first game because Francisco Lindoor in the ninth inning should have turned a double play. Instead, the inning was extended and the Dodgers were able to tie the score and then not to mention in the first game their third baseman, Vientos or not Viento's in the

first game. I have my old score card here. It was Batty in the first game that had an error in that first game that opened the door for the Dodgers even more in that ninth inning. It was really a comedy of errors on the left side of the Mets infield. It was actually in the eighth inning which allowed the Dodgers to score a run to cut the Mets

lead to two to one. If that doesn't happen, the Dodgers have to score two in the ninth, which is possible, but they did come back against Adam Montovino and Chris Taylor with the squeeze play, So Lindor and Beatty in the eighth inning of the first game opened up the door for the Dodgers to come back to beat the Mets five to two in ten innings after they had no answers for Tyler McGill, who was going to the well quite often

with the fastballs in that first game. And Tyler McGill out of Los Alamitos High School, threw fifty three percent of his pitches for fastballs. He was averaging ninety five miles an hour, almost ninety six miles an hour on his fastball, and there's no secrets about it. The Dodgers have had a hard

time in the last two weeks dealing with high velocity fastballs. So I'm not going to declare the Dodger offense is cured after winning these two games, because McGill held the Dodger offense scoreless for seven innings and jose Kntana, he's what they call a crafty lefty. He gave up two solo home runs to Will Smith in the first inning, Miguel Vargas in the sixth inning, and an RBI double that was not played well either by Harrison Bader in center field on

Miguel Rojas's shot. So Jose Kintana, who throws ninety miles an hour for a fastball, that's more the Dodgers speed these days. So I'm not going to declare the Dodger offense is back, but it is nice for them to have a game like they did in the first game, to come back and get a win number one, because they were on the verge of losing their sixth in a row. That hasn't happened since twenty nineteen. So they come back, get the win and they carry that momentum into the second game.

So the feelings are much better for the Dodgers and what they were on the way here to City Field yesterday before the rain out and today on the way to the ballpark. Eight six six seven two five seventy is the phone number speaking of the first game, Daniel Hudson, Wow, that is veteran composure on the mound. He had given up singles to Pete Alonso and former Dodger JD. Martinez, America's DH with one out, and then he walks Harrison Bader, so he's got bases loaded, one out and he's facing Tyrod.

Taylor gets behind three to zero and during that at bat, Mark Pryor goes out to talk to Hudson to try to give him a breather reset, and the first strike he got on Taylor was up and in very borderline strike, but it was strike one. And after that it seemed like he was back on the tracks throwing strikes, and he was able to get Taylor to pop up to Mookie Bets in shallow left field, and then Jeff McNeil, who he really you could tell the way he was gripping the bat, the way

he was in the batter's box. He really wanted to deliver there and maybe wanted it a little bit too much because Daniel Hudson got him to pop up to Gavin Lux and that was the end of the inning. If the Mets get a fly ball with less than two outs, the game is over.

He had loaded the bases with one out and Taylor was up three to zero in the count and he was able to get out of that, and once he was able to get out of that, the McNeil at bat seemed to be basically easy for Daniel Hudson. So here is Daniel after the first game talking about how he got out of that jam. Yeah, I felt good. Obviously I would have liked to have not made that as stressful as it was, but you know, you got your stuff you got for the day,

and you just try to grind through it. Right there, Obviously I lost it there for a little bit. Would have been ideal to not walk Vader and fall three zero to the next guy, but you know, just try to make one pitch at a time, and luckily you got a couple of pop ups and got out of there. I like this was a complete team wine, just considering what the last week has looked like for you guys, just getting back in the win column. How you guys mare able to

pull this one out? What does it say about this team? Yeah, this was a lot. Obviously the boys have been we've been grinding on the last week or so, offensively, pitching a little bit too, and you know we're just trying to the last thing I wanted to do right there,

was was, you know, immediately give the game back to them. I felt like we could steal one right there after not being able to you know, just scratch one across the starter there, so you know, to try to get out of that, and to be able to do that in voye, to be able to score a few runs in a tent is huge. You've talked about just how competitive you are. These are the kind of moments that you know, you really kind of live for when you're out there on

that mound. Yeah, I mean, that's that's it's it's put up or shut up, man. It's basically loading one out city field the ninth inning. I mean, it's it's what you train for. It's you know, you all the reps that you do throughout your whole offseason, preseason up to

this point, that's what you that's what you trained for. So you know, I've been through a lot in this game, and you know, basis loaded situation nine th inning's not really that big of a deal to me and going if you look at the grand scheme of things, so you know, I'll take it. We squeaked that one out. Obviously, next time hopefully a little bit less stressful, but Uh, but, like I said,

we'll take it all right. There's Daniel Hudson, after getting out of a basis loaded jam with one out in the first game in the ninth inning to send it to extra innings for the Dodgers to score three runs and beat them

Ats five to two and ten innings. And it felt like the Dodgers carried the momentum of what Hudson did into the tenth inning and then carried it over into the second game because Will Smith on the first pitch he saw hitting second as the dh gave the Dodgers a one nothing lead, and you felt like in that Mets dugout, They're like, all right, here we go again. And I firmly believed if the Dodgers came back to win that first game, they would win the second one. And that's what turned out to happen.

Eight six six seven two five seventy is the phone number. Let's go out to Huntington Beach. Paul, You're on Dodger Talk with David vasse Hi. Paul. Hey, Dave, thanks saying my call, dude. Thanks, let me that leadofs tonight, man. Hey, So first, maybe let us know how Autman's doing down on the farm. Love to see that guy bounce back. And I know you were on the on the Gavin Stone train pretty early, man, and that dude, I think there's a bright

future for him. He pitches like a dog and he gets after it obviously, you know, having a good night tonight is you know, we can celebrate that he's had a few clunkers along the way, but at the end of the day, man, that dude has been app fully fantastic. We shouldn't lose sight of that. And I guess I will say this too, Hudson. Hudson probably got away with one on that three to one pitch because Trama wanted nothing to do with swinging at a cookie right down the middle,

and and that that really changed the whole inning. Just something to think about. But yeah, man, lot of love for Gavin Stone and let us know how aman's doing. Have a good one in New York, dude, all right, Paul, thanks a lot for the phone call. Yeah, James Outman has eighteen at bats at Oklahoma City since being sent down. He's six for eighteen with a home run. So h he needs to get back on track and the Dodgers, if they see that We'll give him another opportunity,

just like they gave Miguel Vargas another opportunity this year. It was great to see Vargas hit a home run tonight in the sixth inning with two outs, and hopefully he gets more of an opportunity out there and left field eight six six ninety seven two five seventy is the phone number. Yeah, I was big on Gavin Stone. If you go back to spring training, Gavin Stone had the best spring of any pitcher, and Andy pie Haz had the

best spring of any hitter. Now pi Haz tonight it was good to see him get back on track as well, because he had a couple of hits in the nightcap of this game, and Pies was two for four with a run scored. So he was the one that scored on the Miguel Rojas doubled the center field, and he also was the one that scored the go ahead run in the first game when Mookie Betts drove him in as the place runner. But going back to Gavin Stone, the way he pitches, he does

not let his emotions get the best of him. That's what I appreciate the most about Gavin Stone. There is no panic on the mound And the reason why he's more confident this year is because he's going into the games with more pitches. He's got a sinker, now, he's got a cutter. He's starting to incorporate his slider to go along with his four seen fastball and his changeup. That's all he had last year. He was not a finished product by any means. Last year he was still in the development stage of his

professional career and he still is to a certain extent. But the best experience, the best teacher, is experience, and he got handed his lunch a few times last year and he took that with him into the offseason to get better, to perfect those other pitches. So he came back better, bigger, stronger, better, and you're seeing the results of that now because Gavin Stone on the season in ten starts is five and two with an ERA at

three sixteen. He goes into the seventh inning tonight for the third time this year, seven strikeouts, no walks. He's one of my favorite people on the Dodgers. He's a really respectful young man. He respects the game and he wants more and he doesn't feel like after a game like tonight or after the first ten starts this year that oh I've got this figured out. No, he's not making any of it. For granted, he is hungry and

he doesn't let his emotions get the best of him. Speaking up, Gavin Stone, let's sad downstairs right now to the Dodger Clubhouse to hear from tonight's winning pitcher in the second game. I think it was just fastball command really both sides of the play, and then mixing the change up and slider. When you know that you're pitching doubleheader, I know it's gonna be a long

game. How important is it just for you to kind of get deep into the game and really kind of carry over what Tyler did in Game one? Yeah, I mean, you know, just giving our bullpen as at least amount of innings as possible on a doubleheader like this. You know, a glass pitch's ass often and so just giving them that that low stretch. You know, four innings today from the bullpen. This is huge for tomorrow. I hope your most complete outing is a Big leaguer. Yeah, you know,

Barnesy called the great game, but yeah, I felt good. Command was good, and then you know, Offsome is pretty good too fucking up. Man? Is that with fastball command? I think'll build off then? Oh yeah, that's huge. I mean everything plays off you know where you throw your fastball. So yeah, that's that's a huge part. How important did you to get the seven scoreless of the first time? Is that extra meaning to you? You know, just trying to put up zeros for the

squad. We really needed it today. We really needed to win today. Think thankfully we got too. Did you like feel the difference? I guess just kind of how last game ended preparing did you feel kind of as you were getting ready for your outing? Yeah, I mean Mark and Connor had great insights, you know throughout the week, just stuffed to fix on,

work on and change and so you know they were a huge hope. All right, there's Gavin Stone, thanks to sports net LA from bringing the winning pitcher of Game two to US five and two is his record after pitching seven

scoreless innings tonight with seven strikeouts. And it's funny yesterday when we got to the ballpark, I was here at about eleven thirty Eastern time, getting ready for whatever was going to come, and around noon Gavin Stone, who was scheduled to start yesterday, came out of the clubhouse and I was staying next to Chico Herrera, the Dodgers' bullpen catcher, and Stone comes out, and Gavin Stone and Bobby Miller and Emmit Sheen. They're a different breed of starters.

Because I've been covering the Dodgers for since twenty twelve every day, and going back to when I was just covering them, just covering baseball in general, you don't talk to the starting pitchers. I remember covering the Angel games and John Lackey and Jared Weaver, they were on the Kershaw spectrum of don't even look at them in the eye, just keep your head down and maybe

stay fifty feet clear of them. And now you have Gavin Stone and Bobby Miller and Emit Shean, who are very cool with you talking to them. They'll even say hello and dab you up in the clubhouse, and I'm like,

I don't know if I should be doing this. So yesterday Gavin Stone comes out in the dugout and we're all looking at the sky and we're hearing that there's gonna be a meeting at twelve thirty Eastern time to decide whether or not they were going to play yesterday, and Gavin Stone had no idea that it could rain. He's like, hey, Dave, is it going to rain today. I was like, yeah, Gavin, it might rain. We may not play. He's like, oh really, I'm all yeah.

And when he was asking me these questions, I was making sure everybody around me knew I was not talking to this guy. I was looking directly straight ahead, and he said, oh, you're talking to me right now. So that's the difference in I guess this generation or certain pictures now. But Gavin Stone a great guy, and I strongly encourage you that. I know he's wearing a Dodger uniform, but he's an easy guy to root for because of who he is. Let's go out to a Westchester Gabe. You're on

Dodger Talk. Who are you talking to, Gabe? I'm talking to my girl right next to me. We're in the car. But yeah, I actually, you know, Dodger games are Yeah, Dodger games are sort of my work day thing when I'm doing contract. It's a great thing to watch and I watch both games and I want to kind of echo your Gavinstone sentiment and love for him, because I think I mean, look, he's been having a great year. I think going behind glass now was great because you

get to observe the hitters, You get to see what's going on. You get to sort of get a template for what you're gonna face the next game, which is literally the same day. I thought Hudson was extremely veteran. I thought that, I thought Vessia, with his two innings say was amazing. I look from a hitting perspective, as much as I love Freddy's my guy and I love seeing him get hot, I'm still not convinced we're out of the slump. I really felt like the Mets lost more than we beat

them on offense. It really didn't feel like like where we were before all this went down, and I wanted to point out an observation. I'm with you. I believe it's like baby steps, right, baby steps, you get your confidence back in games like this, whether the Mets are horrible or not, or they open the door or not. The Dodger's confidence was starting to sink. No matter how great these guys are, doubt was starting to

set in, especially after the first seven innings of the first game. You saw heads down, so hopefully this is a confidence booster mentally more than anything else. Gabe, I hope so too. And I wanted to get your opinion because in the Red Series I noticed this, and really at some of our worst at bats today, I noticed this. Do you think that the Dodger hitters are taking too much on the first pitch? Because I really feel like, yes, giving up And I agree with you, yes, yes,

yes, I agree with you one hundred percent. They've got to be more aggressive early in the count because when you're not going well, why are you gonna try to take the pitcher deeper into the count, especially a fastball pitcher like McGill. All of a sudden, you're gonna go deep in the count when you're not doing well, be aggressive on first pitch. And I think that Mookie Betch is a lot better, especially a lot better against fastball

pitchers when he ambushes them on the first pitch. I've seen him at I don't know how many doubles down the left field line by jumping on a first pitch fastball on the zone. And today, yeah, he had that clutch hit, which was huge, but I just felt like, I feel like him, I feel like show Hey, they're just sort of letting the first pitch go down the middle, and we have too much talent to do that.

And it's like, okay, if you get a sting a swinging strike, great, but at least you're telling the pitcher you can't give me a guinea pitch. It's it's not gonna be that easy. And I felt like, I think there's times to swing at the first pitch, and there's times not to swing at the first pitch. But when you have a guy that's throwing ninety six ninety seven and you're having struggles against the fastball, he's gonna throw a pitch fastball, you should take advantage of that. Thanks for the

phone call, Gabe, appreciate it. We're gonna take a time out here on Dodger Talk when we come back. More of your phone calls. Eight sixty six nine eight seven, two, five seventy. And I know I have not gotten into it that much, if any, so far this season, but we're starting to get closer to June, and obviously we're starting to realize where the Dodgers can improve at the trade deadline. So let's do it. Next segment, Trade talk, Trade talk, my numbing trade talk.

When we continue on Dodger Talk after the Dodgers sweep the Mets five to two and ten innings in the first game, three nothing shut out in the second on a five to seventy LA Sports. Dodger Talk is available on AM five seventy LA sports dot com hand on the iHeartRadio app. Back to more Dodger Talk with Dodger insider David Stretch and the pitch on the way Freddie swings. That's a drive to right field and deep. This ball's back, this's both

gone. A home run Freddie Freeman a two run shot and the Dodgers extend the lead to five to two. Home run number six for Freddie Freeman. He hit a frozen rope over the right field wall and the Dodgers extend their lead in extra energy. And it's amazing how many Dodger fans immediately go to their feet and why not. Let's go Dodgers, was the chant as I was coming back up from the field after the Dodgers sweep the doubleheader at City

Field. Freddie Freeman with a two run home run in the tenth inning in a five to two victory for the Dodgers, and then in the second game, Will Smith goes deep in the first inning, Miguel Vargas with his first home run since June twenty first in the sixth inning with two outs in the second game as they shut out the Mets three to nothing, and the Dodgers will take a two game winning streak. Looking for the sweep tomorrow afternoon.

Here in New York Daniel's Jewelers. They are the official sponsor of the Trip around the Diamond. Stop by any Daniel's location and say home run for your free team bracelet and fifty dollars gift card toward any purchase of ninety nine dollars or more. Daniels Jewelers own the Dream. Eight six six seven two five seventy is the phone number. We will get to mind numbing trade talk before

we uh say goodnight at the bottom of the hour. But first I wanted to give you an update on much needed reinforcement super reliever Evan Phillips, who has been on the injured list for the last few weeks with a Grade one right hamstring strain. Evan Phillips, Dave Roberts said earlier today, if all goes well, will be activated when the Dodgers return home Friday night. To

host a brief three game homestand against the Rockies. Well, I got a text from one of the scouts that was at Rancho Kucamonga today and Evan Phillips came in in the middle of the inning to get the final two outs and his fastball was clocked at ninety five ninety six, And the scout also texts me he looks healthy. So Evan Phillips will be back on Friday, and that is welcome news for a bullpen that has been depleted of injuries in the

last month or so. Ryan Brasier, Evan Phillips, Bruce star Graderol, Joe Kelly key relievers that are on the injured list. So Evan Phillips is going to be the first to return. I'm not sure if Bruce Star Graderol pitches this year, to be honest with you. If he does, it won't be before September. Ryan Brazier is expected to return in the next three to four weeks. Joe Kelly probably another month at least, maybe not until

the breaks. So the Dodgers are a little thin in the bullpen. But if he gets Evan Phillips back all of a sudden, now you got Phillips, you got Hudson, and he got Trining, which makes the complexion of that bullpen much different having Evan Phillips back, so it looks like he'll be activated on Friday, which brings us to my numbing trade talk. When you look at the Dodgers so far, Yes, they have the second highest payroll in Baseball, two these New York Mets, who are not very good at

all. You could have all the money in the world, but if you don't spend it the right way, you're going to be ten games under five hundred, like the Mets are. But even with the Dodgers' second highest payroll and a lot of good things they've done on the fringes of the roster, there are still holes that could be filled to solidify their chances to run deeper into October. Let's face it, the Dodger offense in the outfield outside of

ti Oscar Hernandez has not been great. Jason Hayward does not seem to resemble the Jason Hayward from last year. His back obviously gave him issues. Who knows if it's still giving him issues, but he's hitting a buck eighty four this year. Andy Poe has a rookie is going to have the ups and downs of a rookie season. Chris Taylor, we all know about his struggles. So for me, the Dodgers need to start looking for some outfield help.

And if you remember back in twenty twenty, the Dodgers were this close to making a trade with the Angels that would have brought Taylor Ward and Louis Renhefo back to the Dodgers in exchange for Jock Peterson, Ross Stripling and a minor leaguer by the name of Andy Poe. Has. Good thing they didn't make that trade because Joctober came up big. Ross Strippling was really good as well. They eventually did trade Stripling that year before they got to the postseason.

But my point is the Dodger had interest in Taylor Ward then, and Taylor Ward's having a very good year for the Angels now, why wouldn't they try to engage Perry Manasseion in their interest in trading Taylor Ward, who, as I believe, another year of service time under his belt, so it's not like he's a rental. You would have him for next year as well. Also, Bob Nangel's reporting that the White Sox are taking offers for often

injured young outfielder Luis Robert. Would he be a guy that Dodgers have interest in. It's tantalizing, but he's one of those players that I call a tease because he can't stay healthy. That's the problem. He's a great player when he's healthy, but last year was the only year that he was healthy. So whoever it is, I feel like they need help in the outfield to provide more offense at the bottom of the order. Also, you think

about where else they can improve. Shortstop right Mookie Betts is doing an admirable job at that position, But if they have an opportunity to acquire a guy

like Bob Bashett, would they pull the trigger on that. Bob Bashett's under contract not only for the rest of this year, but also next year, and then you could slide Mooki Betts to second base, and you might say, well, what about Gavin Lux. Well, if you're going to make a trade for a player like Bob Bashett, if you're going to try to add an outfielder, if you're trying to add more bullpen help, you're probably going to have to trade Gavin Luck somewhere in the middle of those exchanges,

so that would not be a logjam. And like I mentioned, relief help, the Dodgers probably are looking to add another arm who isn't in the bullpen. Kenley Janssen reportedly is going to be traded at the deadline. He would love to come back. We all know that, and the Dodgers had interest in him during spring training and before the season started, so I would not rule out. As far as Mason Miller, I know everybody wants to know,

are the Dodgers going to trade for Mason Miller? I just don't see, And we haven't seen Andrew Friedman get into a bidding war and unload the farm for a relief pitcher. He's a great reliever, he would be a difference maker. I just don't see, because of the track record of Andrew Freeman that he would get into a bidding war and unload a lot of prospects for Mason Miller. I just don't see it. So that's the scratching the surface on the mind numbing trade talk. Those are my thoughts. Where do

you believe is the number one area of need for the Dodgers. Let's go out to Xavier in La. You're on Dodger Talk. Javier, you want to do some mind numbing trade talk. Uh yeah, I want to take you on for a couple of things. Well, I would say that they should go more for a bullpen. But as for infield help, you think it's too early for trades. We need to make a stint or is it like a September call up? Maybe? What do you think for who? Well, well, I'm thinking Tray Sweeney took to come up and be in

the Major League. Yeah, I've very good thinks about him. But Javier, is he going to solve all your problems and take you to the promised Land? I don't think so this year. I feel like no. But I mean, we give it a bunch of these young guys good chances. Look at it. You're not going to bring up Tray Sweeney down the stretch and expect him to be a guy in October, Javier, Maybe next year in spring training he's a He's a guy that you add off the bench,

but not this year, gotcha? And then who would you say are top candidates for trade pieces that we would get rid of? Oh, come on, Javier, you can't put me on the spot like that. The Dodgers have a lot to make it pitching. They got a lot of good young pitching, and like I said, Gavin Lux probably would have to be included in one of these trades for an outfielder, for a reliever, for another

shortstop. He's a guy that teams have interest in, so he would he he would be a guy that teams are going to ask for even now, That's what I was thinking as well. I was going to bring up Vargas, but he hit a homer, so I can't. I can't put him in the conversation. Well, he's in there too, Vargas, Autman, Lux. Those guys are really good young players, and if you're trying to trade for a difference maker, teams are going to ask for players like that.

Thanks for the phone call, Javier, appreciate it. Eight six six nine seven two five seventy is the phone number. Let's go out to Santa Anna. Tucker. You're on Dodger Talk. Hi Tucker, Hey, thanks for having me. I guess my my question is, I know there's cure Meyer trades kind of popping around, but I've heard of players not getting along with him in the past due to him kind of taking over center field. And I feel like the Dodgers are so likable because not only are they great

ballplayers, they're all great personalities. So I just I don't know. I don't know if he's a great fit for the Dodgers. I haven't heard that. I haven't heard that. But he's only hitting two twenty six this year. The Dodgers already have a guy that can do better than that and is a guy that they groomed and Andy Pie has that plays really good center fields.

So they don't need another defensive outfielder. They need some offense if they make a trade in the outfield, yeah, definitely on the Pie has trained. I guess the second question would be, I heard the stat today at the bottom third of the lineup is the worst in baseball, you know, And I think the beginning of the year it's it's less concerning. I think, you know, this is the time of the year where you start to kind of grab your head a bit. And I don't know. That's why

I'm bringing up these trade ideas, Tucker. The Dodgers need to make their line up longer right now, they're not getting the job done. Key k Hernandez is hitting below the Mendoza Mendoza line. Now, so you got Chris Taylor, Key K Hernandez, Jason Hayward all hitting under two hundred, Tucker, and these guys are playing almost every day. Think about that. I know. I guess the hard part is they they have got such a great track record in October, which is what the Dodgers need. So maybe the

Dodgers are just trying to weigh you know. Yeah, key K's that guy. Key K's that guy, Chris Taylor. I don't know. He has had his moments, but are the best behind him? That's something we all have to ask ourselves. And obviously he's being paid a quite handsome sum of money this year and next year. Thanks for the phone call, Tucker, appreciate it. Eight six six nine eight seven two five seventy is the phone number. Let's take one more phone call before we say good night. Justin

and Seemi Valley, you're on Dodger Talk. Hij Hey, Dave, thanks for taking my call. Got a hot got a hot take. Dodgers need to go out and get jazz Chisholm from the Marlin okay take. I feel he's a game changer. He uh he's got speed, he can hit the ball out of the ballpark. Uh, he plays with fire. I think that's what this team needs. I think it's a luxury. Obviously. I

think they should go out and get a bullpen piece as well. But I really really feel they should reach her Jash Chiden, that's an interesting name. Would Miguel Rojas still be on the team if Jazz Chisholm is you know they have right, Jazz is not a big fan of Rojas, and Rojas is not a big fan of Chisholm. With all due respect to Miguel Rojas, So we could use Jazz Chisholm's bat much more than we need Miguel Rojas. All right, Justin? So your team Jazz, big, big Jazz guy.

Yup? All right, that's not a bad idea. I've heard crazier trade rumors, so I'm not just brushing you aside. I wouldn't rule that out. How about that, Justin? I would love that. And also a bullpen piece. I think that's needed. I think we're okay on the starting pitching front, or I think we could live with our current rotation. But yeah, bullpen piece and give me Jazz chism all day long. All

right, justin thanks for the phone call. Good way to end the show tonight, and as we get closer to that July thirtieth trade deadline, we'll continue to have more mind numbing trade talk. That'll do it for us. Tonight on Dodger Talk, it was a good night here at City Field. The Dodgers will be looking for the sweep tomorrow night or evening. It's a four to ten Eastern start, one ten Pacific with James Paxton on the mound.

He's undefeated five and zero with an era at three forty nine, coming off a disappointing start in Cincinnati, and he's going to pitch on four days rest. He's going up against David Peterson Morongo Casino. Dodgers on Deck begins at noon with Tim Cats and first pitch is at one ten from City Field. Thanks to Colin Ye back at our Burbank Studios in there for the doubleheader. Thanks to Dwayne McDonald out here all day long at City Field for the

doubleheader as well, and thanks to you for listening. In case you missed any of the show, you can find it on the iHeartRadio app and our pregame conversation with mister author Andy McCullough, who has written a great biography on Clayton Kershaw, the last of his kind. A great Father's Day gift and a great gift for yourself. I finished the book. It's outstanding and you want to read the last chapter. Very enlightening on what mister Kershaw thinks about

the recent Dodger teams. That's my teams for the book. I'm not gonna spoil it. I was even shocked by what I read. Once again from City Field. The Dodgers sweep the doubleheader from the Mets, five to two and ten innings in the first game, three nothing shut out in the nightcap. Fox Sports Radio is next. Have a great rest of your night. See you from the Big Apple.
