Dodger Talk is sponsored by LA Care Health Plan, providing affordable healthcare insurance to millions of Angelinos for over twenty five years. Now your voice for Dodger Talks. Fight back, damn cakes. I don't know what. I didn't deserve this, but it feels like every time I do Getaway Dodger Talk, which has been now what seventeen times already this year? Oh they're eight to nine

getaway day. It's not everyone's a getaway game for a series. But I'm now three and five, my record three and five and getaway Dodger Talks. After the Dodgers lose tonight seven to or six to nothing to the Arizona Diamondbacks. As the Dodgers tonight had opportunity after opportunity with runners on base in each of the first six innings, they stranded those base runners eight of them. To be exact, they were zero for eight with runners in scoring position.

Tyler class Now pitched out of a jam in the first with a one out single, pitched out of a jam in the second with a one out single, and then a lead off air from Mookie Betts in the third inning. Thought uh oh, this could be trouble. For Tyler Glass now in the

Dodgers. But to his credit, the big right hander struck out back to back to back Arizona hitters to get out of the third inning on twenty three pitches, a one, two three fourth In the fifth inning, a leadoff pop out and then a walk with one out, and that's when things unraveled for Tyler Glass. Now a one out single put runners on second and third, and then a two run triple from Corbyn Carroll, who would then score on a wild pitch from Tyler Glass. Now three runs in the fifth inning.

As Tyler Glass now unraveled, he would go five innings, three runs, four hit, six strikeouts, one walk in a wild pitch, and a losing effort tonight, as he has dropped out two straight decisions for the Dodgers, who dropped two of three to the Arizona Diamondbacks. And I know the numbers aren't good. For these thirteen games in thirteen days. I mentioned how they're hitting just over two hundred during this stretch, they were scoring just

over three runs per game. When going into these thirteen games in thirteen days, they were scoring near five and a half runs per game. The Dodgers' offense right now is kind of just in neutral, is what It sort of feels like. They were erupting offensively. They were scoring runs in bunches. They were not only winning series, they had won four in a row. They were putting together these streaks and really starting to elongate that lead in the

NL West. And it's still a seven game lead in the division as we speak, but it doesn't feel as big as it should be as far as their lead over the Padres and the Diamondbacks, and certainly the Giants and the

Colorado Rockies are picking up the rear of the division. But the last thing the Dodgers really want to do is let the Podres and now an Arizona Diamondbacks team that is still under five hundred, hovering at twenty four and twenty six, but they've won two in a row, they win this series, they've won six of ten. Is let these teams stick around. Even the Giants have won seven of ten. They've caught in fire in the last ten days.

You don't want these teams to stick around. And I know it's May twenty second, I understand that, but the last thing you want to do is have an eight game lead now down to seven, go on a road trip and maybe it's down to four because you're playing five hundred baseball and kind of just sitting in neutral. Offensively, the Dodgers top of the lineup has carried this team, There's no doubt about it. And the Dodgers top of the lineup tonight didn't produce much outside of Mookie Betts, Oh Show Hey o

Tany had a base hit. Mookie Betts was on base twice, he had a double, he had a walk. But Freddy Freeman came up and was oh for fourth of plate tonight, struck out twice and was er for two with runners in scoring position. He came up twice during the Dodgers' run of the first six innings in which they had runners on base and an opportunity for

Freddy to do some damage. The first opportunity was in the third out double by Mookie Otani grounded out, and then Freddy Freeman got out, then Freddy Freeman in the fifth, first and second nobody out, Otani flew out, Freeman struck out, Will Smith flew out. So twice Freddy Freeman had opportunities to drive in runs wasn't able to do it. Will Smith an oh for night Tonight. At the plate, Gavin Lux had two of the Dodgers six hits tonight. Kikey Hernandez had a hit at the bottom of the lineup.

Taskar Hernandez had a hit at the fifth spot tonight. When the top of the lineup produces it, gets on base and they're driving in runs, usually it's a sign that the rest of the lineup is following, or if not, they're still gonna win a game. But when the big three, so to speak, go two for eleven with three punch outs, that is not going to be a good winning recipe for this Dodgers team, and it wasn't tonight. Eight sixty six nine eight seven two five seventy. Eight sixty six,

nine eighty seven two five seventy is your number. You can always tweet at me or X at Tim Kates, tim c A t ees again at Tim Kates, tim c A t e s. If you want to follow me on Twitter or X or whatever we're calling it nowadays, you can do that as well. Tonight, the Dodgers get shut out for the third time this season. That's it. But couldn't have come in a worse time for

a Dodgers team that wanted a little momentum going on the road. You're gonna go to Cincinnati and face a Reds team that you just took three or four from, a Reds team that is reeling a little bit but would love nothing more than to get right in a three game series against you at home. And the Dodgers struggled against Hunter Green their last outing against him over the weekend. They'll see him on Saturday. They'll see the right handed Graham Ashcraft again

on Saturday. The Dodgers need to get back on track in Cincinnati. And you're not gonna win every game, certainly, but start stacking series wins together. It would have been great to finish off this Arizona Diamondbacks team tonight with the win, because you would have taken two of three coming off of taking three or four from the Cincinnati Reds. But they can't. They can't get the big hit tonight. The offense struggled with runners in scoring position. The

top of the lineup struggled defensively. Mookie Betts another air at shortstop in the third inning at E six on a two hopper to short. He tried side arming it over to Freddie Freeman pulled him off the bag, up the line and the runner was safe to lead off the third inning. Thankfully, Tyler Glass now was able to get out of it, striking out the side the rest of the way, getting Carol Marte and Peterson in order. Because that

right there could have been damage. I even wrote it down third inning, zero zero game on Betts to the nine hitter Newman, turning the lineup over with nobody out and maybe a flustered Tyler Glass, now having gotten what he wanted was a ground ball, but had an air behind him on defense, but to his credit, got Corbyn Carroll to strike out on five pitches, got him on a four seam fastball and ninety five miles an hour up and

in. Then he got Ktel Marte on a three to two pitch ninety seven mile an hour fastball inside part of the plate, and then got Jock Peterson again on a three to two pitch, this time a curveball. He got jocked to chase out of the zone for the final out of the inning. A really good job by Tyler Glass now tonight to put that in the back

of his mind and not let it affect him. In the third to come back out in the fourth inning, facing the four to five to six hitters of the Arizona Diamondbacks, including Christian Walker, and going one to two to three in that inning, you felt like he was just waiting for the offense to join him, waiting for the offense to start putting together something and getting

some runs on the board. Because if they could have gotten a run in the first when they had an opportunity, if they could have pushed across a running the second when they got a lead off walk by ti Oscar Hernanez but got nothing, if they could have done something in the third when they got a one out double for Mookie and Otanian Freeman and Will Smith couldn't do anything.

If they could have done anything in the fourth and they had second and third with one out and Andy Paez struck out, Jason Hayward grounded out anything to give Tyler Glass now a lead. I think his confidence boosted pitching with the lead going into that fifth inning. I think the role results are different. I think he's more aggressive. I think he's out there knowing he needs to get that fifth inning in the books to pick up the win. And

it's a different result. But as it is the Dodgers had opportunity after opportunity on offense and just couldn't pushed together runs. And I already got a couple tweets saying the Diabacks are doing this to the Dodgers again, it's just like the NLDS. Well, let's pump the brakes just a little bit about the old This is the NLDS again. The Diabacks aren't doing what they did in October where they went on that magical run a year ago. Would everything run

right? Their bullpen was locked down, they got great starting pitching, and they just were crushing the ball, all right? This is completely different. Sure, this is a Diabacks team that the Dodgers should have taken two to three and should be four and two against through six games already this year. Instead, they have split the first six games with the Arizona Diamonbacks, having took two to three in Arizona and now dropped two of three to the Snakes

at home to finish off this home stand. Needless to say, a road trip could be a good thing for this Dodgers team to get this out of their head, starting new and get back on track. Certainly was the last time around. Remember the home stand in which the Dodgers lost the series of the Padres. They faced the Nationals and then the Mets, and how did

they finish that homestand that was really trending in the wrong direction. They blew out the Mets on that Sunday at Dodger Stadium, had a day off to clear their heads, went back east on one of their longest road trips of the year, Washington, DC, Toronto in three games against Arizona and the Desert where they won two to three. It was a really good road trip. They got right, so to speak, on that road trip. It kind of feels like the Dodgers can have that get right road trip again when

they head now to Cincinnati and New York. Eight six six nine eighty seven two five seventy is the number. Eight sixty six nine eighty seven two five seventy. The Dodgers' bullpen tonight gave up a couple of runs Eliza Hernandez a home run to Christian Walker. And by the way, if we don't have to see Christian Walker and even I'm soon, thank goodness. He has become a new Dodger killer. Remember Vin Scully used to say Goldie. Paul Goldschmid,

the Dodger Killer, Yeah, because that's what he was. Seemed like, Paul Goldschmid every time he faced the Dodgers, hit home runs, caused damage. Was a one man wrecking crew against the Dodgers. Now, certainly his career has come down and he's in Saint Louis now, but Christian Walker has turned into that Dodger killer. Christian Walker came in to this series with eight home runs. Christian Walker left this series heaving him back to back home

runs. Last night and tonight, Christian Walker hit a home run again at Dodger Stadium for the fourteenth time in his career. He's now hit twenty two home runs against the Dodgers all time in eighty seven games, the staggering number. He has become the Dodgers Killer here in twenty twenty four in the last

three years before that. So if we don't have to see Christian Walker for a while, and the Dodgers won't see the Arizona Diamondbacks by the way, until right before the fourth of July, they have a break from them until July two, three, and four, and then they won't see the Arizona Diamondbacks again until Labor Day weekend at the end of August and early September.

So six games down, they've got how what seven to go against Arizona, three at Dodgers Stadium in July, and then a four game series against the Snakes over in Arizona when it's nice and hot over in Phoenix around Labor Day weekend. Eight six, six nine, eight seven two five seventy is the number. We'll take a break, we'll come back, We'll get to your phone calls, hose A Moti will join us. A disappointing night. You don't want to overreact in the moment, but tonight's one of those games you

just felt like going through the motions. What are those games? Like? A getaway day on a Sunday where the Dodgers have already won the first two games and just kind of going through a Sunday to get out of town, get ready for a road trip, get home as soon as possible, and enjoy a little barbecue at the family. Well, problem is, Dodgers lost

this series. Dodgers got shut out tonight. They had their opportunities, but very frustrating one through nine could not come through that big hit zero for eight with runners in scoring position, and they stranded eight base runners eight six six, nine eighty seven two five to seventy got one line open. the Dodgers get shut out tonight by the Arizona Diamondbacks six to nothing. Ryan Nelson gets the win after an opener, got the start, he came in, got the bulk of the innings. Tyler Glass now gets the loss. He win five innings, three runs, four hit, six strikeouts, but things fell apart in the fifth Indian after a one out walk, a single, and then a two run double from Corporn Carrol, a wild pitch would score Carol. Three runs came across in the top half of the fifth inning

for the Arizona Diamondbacks and they go on and win. It's six to nothing. Daniels Jeweler is the official sponsor of the Trip around the Diamond. Daniels Jewelers own the dream. Get out to your phone calls in just a couple of minutes. Let's check in with those. It's tough to go around

the Horn with Jseane Moga Hose Andy offense. Tonight's whether it was the Big three, the Big four really one through nine couldn't string together those hits. One of those frustrating nights, I imagine for Tyler Glass now, who for the first four innings really pitched well, and things just kind of fell apart in the fifth he did. I mean, the curveball for him, you know, was literally inconsistent. There are times when he was spiking it too

much. At times he left it up throwing it too hard. And then the big one is the one he hung to Paul N. Carroll, who is not able to get around fastballs, and the scouting report pretty much is he cannot hit fastballs right now, which is pretty amazing, right if for a guy like Carrol. But he took advantage of, you know, somebody's slowing down his bat and drove that ball to to right center field. And one thing about Carol too is, you know, forget the one night he

won. He's an impact player. That's why he's better lead off, and they're trying to get him, you know, spark around a little bit. Yesterday, the way he drove the ball the other way on fastballs was pretty much an indication that he has kind of come around. And what is ever just him? I mean, Tory Lerulis says, my team really needs to get somebody going out, just Martin and Christian Walker, and that was the right guy for them to come up in that situation there too. But you

know, for a guy like last though. The other thing too is and that happened with Gavin. Still, you know your starters will have nice like this, okay, but it's gonna look bigger obviously when you're not hitting. So these guys need to be picked up. I mean, you cannot expect these guys to go out there to go seven and six and allow one or two runs to win a ball game, right, So it this really all falls on the offense. Tonight the Dodgers were zero for eight with runners in

scoring position. They left eight runners out there. They had base runners that they left eight of the first six innings. And it wasn't like they was finding the bottom of the order every single time. Jose and those guys weren't pricking up the slack. Freddie Freeman oh for two with runners in scoring positions, Showy o Tani oh for two with runners be scoring position. Will Smith was oh for one with runners in scoring position. Guys, for whatever reason

to I just couldn't get that key hit against the Diamondbacks. Yeah, you know what's really cut my eye, Tim was Ryan Nelson, who, in fact, coming into the series, Toyler woles like, I don't know if he's going to make the start. He's not pitching. Well, this is that, right, he comes out today with fire and says no, and you know what he did so well tonight is and it relates to the way

daiers swimming about. He was not messing around. I mean it was pretty much like, you know what, guys, if I going to get hurt, I'm going to get hurt. Here hit it. He threw the fastball rad down in the middle many times, plenty of times to see where it was. And the more they missed, and more confident he got in. He spider very well. And for the dodgerstop pretty much where they are right now. You know, there's some swings outside the zone, trying to do

too much. There's no doubt him. You know what that as Freddy Freeman goes, so go the Dodgers. They need Freddy Freeman to be Freddy Freeman. I know there's show here, there's Mookie Betts, there's Will Smith at ti Oscar. But my god, when Freddy Freeman goes on one of these hot streaks, just look at the history with the Braves and with the Dodgers. What happens to those teams? And he has become a key clog in

this whole thing. And you know a guy that's been absent that we got to understand that he prolongs in sometimes because of the watks is Max Munsey. I think his presidence has been missing that lineup. And certainly there's guys who want to more contact from like the Oscar and Andy Paies who was finding out how tough it is to hit the big leagues, especially after he has success early and why I justment, is he going to be made in a heartbeat

here? What is it about Pie is that he needs to adjust to Jose? Is is it the way they're pitching him backwards? I mean, what is it about what he was doing right the first I don't know two and a half weeks and what he has really struggled to do the last two and a half weeks. He's missing his pitch. He's missing his pitch. Young guy going through a learning process in the in the curve that you go through in the big leagues. And you know, sometimes you simplify the best him

by allowing him to think about singles. Just get singles, that's fine, Just get your singles because you're strong enough to have one of those singles turn into a double triple at home run because you're strong enough. So if he's thinking about I got to drive the ball, now I'm the everyday center fielder and you don't want that to happen. Okay, he saw James Outman go

down to the minor leagues because of his production. Okay, now he has to say, hey, listen, I earned this by doing what by enjoying the game, knowing that they're going to have to make a move at some point, and being productive and opportunities of what I got right, So now it's not time to do more. He's got to and think about doing less and think singles contact good at batsman more than anything, just have productive at basket because the ad bass and they've gotten to him quite a few times on

purpose, are just not there right now. You know, you're not seeing a consistent contact and certainly not the first time a young player goes through this. But there's a reason why he's here. And I think what I would want to see is this affect him in the outfield where you know he's not playing to the best in the outfield when he can because the hitting is affecting

them. But for Andy who was a good athlete. Hopefully, you know, he'll somebody come and have a the oscar or somebody like to come talk to him and know, hey, brought there, and just have enjoy the game. You're playing every day. That's a bit thing. You're not being looked at and saying, hey, if he goes over, he's gonna stay down. So you got that going for you in today for a young player, that's a big plus. But you know what, go get your singles

and start with batting practice. Get your singles in batting practice fro from there on, you're thinking contact, might play some pepperin. Before you know it, you're gonna have, you know, more success and more contact. Final thing, Hose, I just looked at the schedule and I guess I didn't realize this, you know, looking at it earlier. They're in a brutal stretch here over the four month period or four week period. Excuse me. Get the thirteen games in thirteen days. Then you go back east for six.

You come home for three games against Colorado before going back out on the road to the East Coast for six more, three against Pittsburgh and then three more in New York, this time against the Yankees. You talk about a brutal stretch, thirteen in a row and then two trips to the East Coast in a two and a half week span. Thank you, schedule makers.

Well go and strap it on and know that nobody's gonna feel bad for you, right And you know, and sometimes I've seen teams go at their best and stretches like this because you know why, guys, it is what it is. Let's go out there and take care of business. What do we have. We got Cincinnati, well, they play tough over here, we though, you know, they beat them three out of four. You have the Mets, who've been up and down and the Mets beat him two out

of three here. And then Pittsburgh who just never know. It seems like Pittsburgh finds another level when they see the Dodgers go now. And of course then you have the Yankees and who's not going to be amped up for that series? So you know what, enjoy the ride. I'm glad I'm not playing. I'm calling the game, so obviously it's a much different perspective for me. But the one thing too, I was going to point out to them is the Dodgers, in terms of game just hiding hits from the opponent.

They have to take care of the bottom of the Oders. The Compusanos of the world and the stew are fairchilds or respect to them. They're big leagu hitterers, Kevin Newman's but those guys can, I'll be the biggest factors in beating you. You know, will come down to a series into a game. Yeah, I'm Moreno and Newman tonight on base three times between the two of them just cannot happen. Jose, appreciate it. We'll talk to you in a couple days, all right, But not just to Jose Mota

as well. As the Dodgers dropped a final game to the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight six to nothing. They lose two to three to Arizona. They go four and three on the homestand seven and six over these thirteen games in thirteen days. Yeah, nobody's gonna cry a river here for the La Dodgers. I understand that, but this is a brutal stretch. I get travel as part

of professional sports. I understand that, but thirteen games in thirteen days, day off to travel back east for six games in six days, then a day off you get a wopping three games at home against Colorado before you have to go back east for six more games. Twelve of their next fourteen games are on the East coast. Unbelievable. What the three game series, twelve of the next see six and six twelve, the next fifteen, yeah, are on the East coast. That's unbelievable. Brad mission Vaho. Thanks for

being patient, Brad, Thanks for checking in here on Dodger Log. How you do Ton, Buddy, thank you, thanks for chaking my call. Yeah, it's funny. Over the last two days, there's been a lot of power is shown by the Diamondbacks. And you're right about Walker over like about five years, he's done the trick, you know, nineteen games a

year, you know, and that's a lot that's very frequent. What I'm wondering is do you think Glass now has lost the edge a little bit because he pitched that excellent game in San Diego, but he was just out pitched by King, you know, and he had like about nine strikeouts and he stayed the course for seven innings but gave up one long Well, but do you think he's still considered the ace of the staff right now or what I think him and Yamamoto are neck and next. Certainly the first eight starts.

I appreciate it, Brad, the first eight starts of the season, Tyler Glass, Now was it? He went head to head on that Friday night in San Diego with King. You're right in a pitcher's duel and lost that game or got no decision. Excuse me. Then you get the game against Cincinnati in which he gives up four runs on six hits over five innings and loses last Thursday to the Reds. And tonight I thought he pitched really well

for four innings. Again, he could have melted down after an air in the third inning, but he comes back and gets back to back to back strikeouts. He has a one two three fourth inning. He gets a pop out to lead off the fifth inning, but then a walk and a base hit, and then a two run triple, a wild pitch, and when the course of three at bat three batters, he's down three to nothing. Things unraveled for him. I don't think he's lost it by any means.

I mean, he's still striking out guys at an enormous rate. Six more punchouts tonight. He had eight in his last start. He's got four games where he's got double digit strikeouts. He leads the major leagues going into tonight and leaving tonight as far as strikeouts is concerned. He's been a victim of no run support. I mean the Reds game last Thursday, Dodgers scored two

runs. The start before that in San Diego where he got into the pitcher's duel of King on that Friday night, the opener of that three game series in San Diego, he gave one run over seven innings and that was a solo home run. One hit. That was it. Ten punchouts and he gets no decision. He pitched his butt off. He just didn't get any

run support. The three starts before that, eleven runs scored by the Dodgers, four run scored by the Dodgers, ten runs scored by the Dodgers, double digit run scored in two of those three victories for Tyler glassnow just not getting the run support he had gotten early from the Dodgers offense. The last couple of starts eight sixty six ninety seven two five to seventy Woodland Hills, Matt in the eight one eight, How doing Matt good? Damn how's it

going come all right? A little frustrated with the last two nights. Yeah, man, sitting here watching it. So yeah, the team with Arizona, why it does seem like it's like a replay of the You know, it's just a small ball. Yond it's the speed it is given to thirty They got up three nothing while pitch took advantage of it. And if the Addiers don't hit a home run, it's they don't win. He looked at Yeah. This year they've been shut out three times. Last year they were

shut out four times, so they're on pace for twelve. They're just thinking, you get people one third, one out, can't punch somebody home, not a chance for directional hitting. I don't understand the it's like this the time practicing some of these gay situations where they don't ds because they're gonna it's just thatsentful. Yeah, appreciated, mag Your phone's breaking up a little bit. You mentioned if they don't hate a home runs, they don't win.

A great stat from Blake Carris on Twitter earlier tonight. The Dodgers record in twenty twenty four when hitting two or more home runs, they're seventeen and one when they hit one home run, they're eleven and six when they hit no home runs in a game. This Dodgers team in twenty twenty four. The record now five and twelve right there, tells you a lot. When you hit home runs. They win when they hit a home run more times than not. They win when they don't hit home runs. They are a five

and twelve team that's not manufacturing runs. That's home run or bust for this Dodgers team. And that's what they were trying to get out of after the last couple of failures in the postseason. Tonight, Corbyn Carroll, tip your cap. Hit a one to two pitch, drove in runs, the wild pitch he scored on, that's on Tyler Glass. Now the Christian Walker home run. You tip your cap to a guy who's completely own you since he's

been an Arizona Diamondback for whatever reason. But the Dodgers tonight offensively, they had their chances. First inning, Otani left on base, second inning, lead off walk by tay Oscar, nothing, third inning, one out double by Mookie and you got Otani and Freeman up nothing. Fourth inning, second and third, one out, and you can't get a fly ball out. You can't punch across one run. You get a strikeout from Pajes on a fastball in the middle of the plate and Hayward grounds out nothing. Nothing.

At that point, it's still a three to nothing game. You get a run, you get two, you're right back in it. Fifth inning, first and second, nobody out. Nobody out, first and second, Otani flies out, Freeman strikes out, Will Smith flies out. You had another opportunity, maybe it's a three to one, three to two game, to tie the game or take the lead, and you put up a zero in the sixth inning, first and second, nobody out. Come on, bottom of the lineup, Come on, pa Hez hit into a double play,

Come on, Jason Hayward flies out to the in the inning. It wasn't the bottom of the lineup solely not coming through. This Dodger lineup as a whole for eight with runners in scoring position, including O'tani and Freeman, who are both OH for two with runners in scoring position, equal opportunity lack of driving in runs tonight, for this Dodger's offense, had the opportunities, had a chance to get back in this game. With Tyler Glass now on the

mound. As it would turn out, things unraveled in the fifth inning. You had a chance to give him the lead in the third, the fourth, you had a chance to get back in it in the fifth and couldn't do it. Ish Riverside, You're gonna be our final call tonight here on Dodger Talk. Hi Ish, Hey, tim Man for taking my calls. Just a big shoutouts to you and calling you guys are always so hospitable taking

my call. I'll appreciate it. Yeah. So basically, yeah, that's a crazy stab as far as the home run, and I don't know, maybe that's something that the front office do. They wanted to keep swinging for the fences when you when you talk about that seventeen and one, you know, with two or more home runs and especially with the home run hitters. But pretty pretty interesting. But my Mike we question honestly called in. Yeah, we're gonna lose games up baseball, right, hundred and sixty two games,

but it's just the way we lose. I don't know, I was a little bit not gonna lie a little bit hot when you know, Pa Haz was calling for that ball. I think it was the sixth, six or seventh and uh clearly called it and uh, you know, ta Oscar comes in and just swoops and basically snags the ball. And and reason I mentioned that because I know that you know, Jose Mota and Dave Assay they kind of broke down that play whether there was a collision, uh, you

know, several games ago. So I don't know. My my concern on the defensive end, you know, with t Oscar, I'm just a little bit concerned, like you know, just in terms of his effort and stuff like that. Like I don't know what he is. What's going on in the clubhouse? Are we good? I know that we had a transition with some players going, you know, being optioned and some players called up. It's a different dynamic. Just want to get your guys to take on that.

Appreciate it. I think we'll definitely get it going here soon. All right, Appreciate it. I don't think the turnover has been that much. You're talking about certainly a lot of arms on the il, so that's been a change. But the guys who have come in have stepped up and been fantastic, whether as starters or relievers. The position players outside of Jason Hayward and now Max Munci relatively injury free. This Dodgers team and altman struggled at

the plate given every opportunity get sent down. Miguel Vargas, He's worked his tail off in Triple A the second half of last season, getting right in the first six weeks of the Triple A season this year on fire, absolutely on fire offensively, and so he gets called up to hopefully continue the at you know, great pace that he's at offensively. He's just not getting in bat to the opportunities. But I think this group's fine. There's no issues,

there's no finger pointing, there's no issues inside that clubhouse. It's a good clubhouse. It's a good group of guys. I'm not worried about that. I am worried about the fact that too many guys tonight, in particular, had an opportunity to get a hit, drive the ball, score run, hit the ball on the right side, score run, and they failed oh for eight with runners in scoring position. And again, wasn't the top of the lineup not coming through? Wasn't the bottom of the lineup coming through?

You can't point the fingers and say, ha, top of the lineup did their job. Where's the bottom of the lineup? No, no, no, equal opportunity, lack of driving in runs tonight for this Dodgers offense. Blame goes to everybody for the failures to get on the board tonight. And the Dodgers had their opportunities throughout the game to take a lead, to get back into it, but ultimately they fall to the Arizona Diamondbacks by final well off, six to nothing. That's gonna do it for Dodger Talk tonight,
