In 1981 there was a dearth of comedians in Ireland. In this documentary Des Hickey finds out from the people who put themselves on the line in front of an audience. He joins the search for comedy performers, including funny men Andrew McQuillan, Syl Fox and Hal Roach. (First Broadcast 1981)
