Episode description

Today we talk to Starfish Project founder, Jenny McGee. Jenny and her team's entire goal is to help exploited women experience freedom, establish independence, and develop careers. The Starfish Project literally rescues women from being sexually trafficked and provides shelter, counseling, education, trade schools, and career opportunities. 100% of all Starfish Project sales go back into helping this mission, the current rescued women and the future ones. Jenny shares with us stories of walking into brothels in Asia and walking out with young women who are desperate for someone to see their dignity. Starfish Project is an ethical trade, non-profit organization with a social enterprise that cares for women coming out of human trafficking and exploitation. Starfish Project has employed over 125 women and has served thousands through our Community Outreach Services.
