Episode description

Disclaimer: if you get caught committing a crime due to the title of this episode, we deny all responsibility.. In this week’s episode, we discuss ‘I Care a Lot’ which is a film directed by J Blakeson. In terms of the general plot - I Care A Lot’ is a film centred around a con-artist named Marla Grayson (played by Rosamund Pike) who is publicly recognised as the CEO & Founder of Grayson Guardianships. Marla uses her tact and reputability to persuade the legal system that she needs to be given guardianship over elders despite what their family want for them as she claims they are incapable of looking after themselves. The elderly wards then get taken to Berkshire Oaks Senior Living Facility where they reside until the end of their days. They’re placed under sedation and they don’t have any association with anyone outside of the facility, although many are under the impression that they are being well looked after but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Throughout the podcast, we talk about the highs and lows of the film and how it challenged our pre-conceived expectations. One of us found the film to be okay, whilst the other had some strong words to say about it.. can you guess who?
