Hi, I'm Mary Colbert. Welcome to part four in energy. Dr. Colbert's got so much information that we couldn't do it in one, two, or three. You have to do it in part four. So if you have missed the other three, you want to tune into it, get all the information, because there are real answers on how you can have good, healthy energy no matter what your age is.
And that's good news, Don. Now, Mary, we've discussed, number one, how to stop worrying, how to learn to cast all your tears on the Lord, because He cares for you and not pick them back up again, but you got to practice it, commit to doing it, and forgive yourself for tearing those tears. We also taught you how to overcome insomnia. And then we taught you how to restore your adrenals with adrenal formulas. And now we want to talk about anemia, it can cause fatigue.
There's a lot of men and women who have had anemia. And one thing that's amazing is how many patients I am seeing with colon cancer. And one of the first signs we see is they're low in iron and they're anemic. And it usually starts with a polyp. So now they've changed their recommendations, and anyone that's 45 should have a colonoscopy and have one every 10 years. Okay, so if someone is suffering from fatigue, what you're saying, it could be anemia.
And the anemia could be associated to possible early signs of colon cancer. Holy cancer. Now, Mary, let me explain something. Wow, that's huge. When a person comes to see me on everyone, I do a battery of blood test. And one test I do on everyone is a complete blood count and a ferritin level. Very few do a ferritin level, but I've seen so many men and women that are 45 and older that have low ferritin. Now, once you're at 50, most women should be done with menopause or almost done.
So they shouldn't have a low ferritin. Ferritin is your iron storage protein. And so when you have a low ferritin, that means you have low iron. Now, after 50, most women have periods no longer. So there should be no reason why they should have low iron. Men should never have low iron, especially if they eat red meat unless they're vegetarian or vegan. But again, we need to know if their ferritin is low and if their blood count is low. If they have anemia.
If you have anemia, there's two main types of anemia. There's iron deficiency anemia that's picked up by a low ferritin level. And there's B12 deficiency, which calls it B12 deficient anemia. Those are commonplace. Now you say, well, where do you see those? B12 anemia, I'll find, especially in, again, vegetarians, vegans who don't eat any meat because meat contains B12. When you don't eat meat, you're not getting the B12. You need to supplement with B12. So that's important.
But most commonly we find low ferritin or low iron levels. One in particular is when people have polyps. Colon cancer doesn't just appear overnight. It starts as a polyp. And it starts with a precancerous polyp that is usually a sessile or flat polyp. And they bleed and that little bit of blood we can pick up on a coligar test usually, or even better is do a colonoscopy. That's why they recommend colonoscopies at age 45. Used to be age 50. And that's something.
But we're seeing so much colon cancer. Wow. Due to the chronic constipation, the excessive amount, so white flour that people eat, makes them constipated. They don't drink enough water. They don't eat enough fiber. They don't eat enough veggies. And as a result, we are seeing literally an explosion of colon cancer, especially in this country, developed countries. So it's important to get screened by a colonoscopy.
And it's important to also, if you have anemia, men or women, and you're a woman that's past menopause, you don't have periods anymore, you need to make sure you don't have a bleeding ulcer, you don't have H. pylori, or that you don't have Crohn's or colitis, but especially that you don't have colon cancer or a precancerous pollen. And again, you want to be checked for that. Extremely important. Now, you say, what do I do? What if I just take iron? Will that help?
No. You got to get to the root of the problem. You got to find out why you're losing blood or losing iron. If you just mass the problem and take iron, then you may miss a cancer or may miss something that's causing major issues like an ulcer or H. pylori or inflammatory bowel disease or Crohn's or colitis. So it's important to find out what's causing this. So that's a major cause of fatigue. So you want to make sure you're screened. Wow, this is powerful. Powerful.
Now, the other thing that causes fatigue in so many patients, especially in my patients with chronic fatigue, are chronic infections, chronic mono, chronic Epstein-Barr virus. And how do you pick this up? We do Epstein-BV-Titers. And these people are bone tired, especially if they do too much work or they're under too much stress, they get tired and they may have had mono when they were a teenager. And the doctor never checks them anymore. They say, oh, you had mono, you're over it.
But I check the EBV-Titers and we see their titers are off the chart high, over 500 or something. I know they got chronic mono. What can you do for that? Well, first of all, it comes out when you're under severe stress. You see mono, when you've had mono or Epstein-Barr virus, same thing, the mono never goes away. It stays latent. But when you're exhausted, when you go without sleep, when you're stressed, it reactivates. And many times people have a sore throat or swollen glands.
There are mono nodes back here in the posterior cervical nodes, posterior cervical lymph nodes in your neck, right behind the sternocleidomastoid, myocardial, little tiny BBs or little shoddy lymph nodes. And these reactivate the virus. The virus is many times latent or hidden in these lymph nodes. But it's just waiting for an opportunity when you get run down, tired, stressed, lack of sleep or just overwhelmed, boom, it reactivates and comes out.
And you get muscle aches and pains, joint aches and pains, low-grade fever, sore throat, swollen glands. That's mono back. And mono is just waiting. So many people with fatigue have a chronic mono that's reactivating because they're stressed. We have something that literally puts this under our, so many of my patients with this on it, it's saved their lives, brought them back to living normal lives again. And it's a peptide called Finimosin Alpha 1.
And I teach them how to get just a little teeny amount, 0.5 ml subcued twice a week. And literally for the majority of my patients, it puts it in remission. And you say, where do you get it? Well, call my office. We can give you the number. We get it from a special pharmacy. And it's in Florida. And it is absolutely amazing how it works. Now you say, I want to take a shot. Well, there is a supplement called Nature's Marvel, which is called LATO NEX, V-L-A-D-O-N-I-X.
One or two a day also helps, or one or two every other day. But I think the Finimosin Alpha 1 works much better. So the other infections that can do it, there's other infections that can do it, like CMV, cytomegalovirus, human, herpes virus can do it, enteroviruses, or long COVID. We're seeing now a lot of kids who have long COVID or adults. And they've had COVID, and yet they've never regained their energy. Something that has worked amazing for these patients is low dose Naltrexone.
Now, Tretzone is an opioid antagonist, but in little low doses, it reboots the immune system. So the typical dose that works for many of my patients is just 4.5 milligram capsule at bedtime. Now, usually I have to start them on 1.5 milligrams per week, and then 3 milligrams per week, and then work them up to 4.5 milligrams. But it's amazing how it resets the immune system and helps many of those with long COVID.
So some patients with chronic fatigue have Lyme, or have Lyme co-infections like Babesia, Urlickia, Bartonella. So we use special tests to check for those patients. I had a woman that had lots of cats, and she got one of the co-infections, or Lyme from the cats, and caused her severe fatigue. So we checked her, and then we treated her. And she's got Lyme from her kitty cats. Yeah, from kitty cats. Because she took in some strays. Oh, my. And got Lyme. So again, that can happen too.
So you got to treat the Lyme. And if you earlier you catch it, the better, easier it is to heal. You can usually heal it with just Doxycycline. And then replant the good bacteria in the gut, and we put them on a super probiotic after treating them for a few weeks, usually this myome. And that restores the gut health. We put them on that for at least six months.
But there's also, let's see here, there's also, you got to get rid of biofims with, if you've had Lyme or co-infections, we use seropeptase, or there's other biofims that break down biofim, which are created from Lyme and Lyme co-infection. See, what happens is these infections get infested in the body, and they create a biofim that prevents the immune system from recognizing where it's at.
So we need usually some enzymes like seropeptase, 10 milligrams, three times a day between meals, and it helps get rid of these biofims. There's other things that work. There's another biofim product called Native Formulas Restore 3 that contains some EDTA with seropeptase. So again, that helps a lot of those that have chronic fatigue due to chronic infections. Okay, you get chronic viral infections or chronic bacterial infections. Here we'll do a full show on Lyme disease.
Now other causes of fatigue that we mentioned was low testosterone. This is major for most women, over 40. When see the first hormone domino to fall in a woman is not estrogen, is not progesterone, is testosterone. Women do best when their testosterone levels is around 70 to 100 actually. So when I get their levels up there, it literally helps to restore their adrenal fatigue and boost their energy dramatically.
Some women need their testosterone level restored up to around 150 to 200, and it's absolutely amazing how well these women do. Women who have severe osteoporosis, I may get their testosterone level up to over 200. And I put them on a finasteride to block their masculinizing effects so they don't lose hair on their hair or grow a beard.
And it's amazing how we've helped so many women with severe osteoporosis with testosterone, but the main thing testosterone does is it reboots the adrenals and gives them tremendous energy. And you can give it in creams that you just put behind your knee. It's simple, two clicks a day behind your knee, or you can give it a little sublingual tab in the morning and early afternoon. Well the best is to give women the pellets.
Now some women I put them on a little tiny dose of a shot once a week, like 200 milligrams per ml, just 0.1 ml once a week, and that works good for some. But most do best with the pellets, and that's what you've been using for years. And then low NAD, now this is a major cause of fatigue in people over the age of 40. NAD is nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, and this is a coenzyme that plays a major role in energy production, more so than CoQ10.
CoQ10 is an energy substrate that feeds into the crept cycle to help produce ATP, which is our energy currency. But NAD is even more important than CoQ10. By the time we reach 40 years of age, we have approximately half of the NAD that we had in our youth. And that's why kids have so much energy, Mary. You look at a three-year-old, you look at our grandkids, you'll get Timmy 10, he's got this bundle of energy, he never stops. Is there a natural way to get it back? Yes, yes.
Okay. Now listen, I know, she doesn't know this, she doesn't even know this. We're working on a product now called Nano NAD that you can just spray in your mouth. And this is a new product we're going to be having introducing later this year. Oh my goodness. But NAD, supplements that boost NAD are not NAD itself, but they're precursors to NAD. You see, vitamin B3 or niacinamide with L-tryptophan can produce NAD, but usually just a teeny amount.
Another precursor is nicotinamide riboside or NR, nicotinamide riboside. And some products that contain that are NAD or true niacin, and I know Life Extension has that. But the dose is 300 milligrams once a day, some need as much as 500 milligrams once or twice a day. But it's a precursor. It's not NAD, it's the precursor that helps your body produce NAD. The best is NAD. Now for years I've been giving patients with severe fatigue NAD injections.
NAD, I get from a compounding pharmacy, it comes in 200 milligrams per ML. I start them on a quarter ML, I am once a day. And we go up each week, we start at 0.25, and then the next week I'll go up to 0.5 ML, I am once a day, usually in the morning. I'll take it at night. And then after three weeks I go up to 0.75 ML, I am once a day for another week. And then I try and get them up to 1 ML. When I get them to up 1 ML, I am once a day, it's almost like rocket fuel.
It gives them tremendous energy, tremendous mental clarity because most people's levels are low. If you're over 40, it's going to be low. And that is the key energy substrate for producing energy. And so now again there's a new NAD nose spray that we've used. I have given this nose spray to 80 plus year old men and it's amazing within minutes how their energy comes. Waits from not. Remember the patient we had? Yeah, I do. He literally had no energy. I just got my new NAD nose spray.
I said go get out of the fridge and I gave it to him, he was so exhausted he could hardly move. He had two sprays in each nostril and literally they couldn't believe it. He rose up, he had all this energy, it went on for hours. But the only problem with a nose spray, it only lasts two weeks. So that's why we're coming out with our nano NAD in the future to give them energy all day long. But there's also synapse in nose spray.
We've been using this for years and my patients who have age associated memory impairment, severe brain fog, severe brain fatigue, early dementia, moderate dementia, severe dementia. The synapse in nose spray we get from a compounding pharmacy. It has Panix Genseng RG3 that helps tremendously with memory. It also has nicotinamide riboside that's a precursor to NAD. So you spray it in your nose two sprays each nostril and it literally helps your brain produce NAD.
And it's fairly inexpensive plus it has methylcobalamin or the active form of B12. And it's amazing how in many of my patients we're able to turn their brain on and boost their brain energy and their body's energy but it's nose spray and it's fairly inexpensive. And their doctor can get this. If they can't they can see me or my nurse practitioners. I got a nurse practitioner in my office in Southlake and in my office in Lake Mary, Florida which is a suburb of Orlando.
So again this product is amazing for so many of my patients. So many of my patients they call and says thank you. I've got my brain energy back. My brain is so sharp. I'll never forget this one patient whose husband had, he was in his 60s and he says I've lost my edge. These younger people are just running circles around me. I gave him this and the wife called back in one month and said I don't know what you've done to my husband. I want some. He's back. He's back.
He's got a brain energy in him and everything. It's not fair. She says it's not fair. He's got so much brain energy. Brain's firing on all cylinders. I don't know what he has. The point of this all folks, the whole point of this is when you give the body what it needs and you support it with what it needs and many times these things are natural. You can replenish it in natural. There's a scripture that comes to my mind as I was listening to him. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
It's what you don't know. That's why we're doing these YouTube's. He is giving you so much information. You need to have your doctors, your nurse practitioners because a lot of what he's saying is way over my head and I know it's over yours. I'm thinking- Dr. may know some of this. They'll understand the terminology that you're using.
I encourage you for those that are taking care of you health-wise, tell them about this YouTube and say, would you just watch it and tell me and advise me what to do because that is just so much information that you have. Now, Mary, we've got to talk about the most powerful thing to restore your energy. Can I talk about it? We'll come into the end. Yes. This is the last thing, guys. And probably the most important. We probably should have started with this. You saved the best for last. Yes. But I'll talk about this in detail in my book, you know, the Healthy Brain Zone. The Healthy Brain Zone. It's intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting is one of the most powerful things to restore your energy.
Now here's how it works. Now, some people, if they're so adrenally fatigued, they can't do this right away. Right. But you can just do a little bit. You can do it maybe for 12 hours a night fasting. And then you eat a 12 hour window. And once your adrenals restore a little more, you can go 14 hours fasting, 10 hours eating a 10 hour window. And then when your adrenals are restored, you can do 16 hours fasting and eat an eight hour window. And that's the best.
You can't start with that if you have severe adrenal fatigue. Now here's what fasting does, intermittent fasting is what I'm talking about. When you fast, you start to literally restore your mitochondria in your brain and throughout your body. Now, as we age, our body accumulates cellular waste. And we have denatured or non-functional proteins that accumulate. They start to gum up our cells. They gum up our mitochondria. So the mitochondria cannot produce the ATP, which is our energy currency.
So a process happens when you fast for at least 12 hours. We undergo a process called autophagy, where we start a self cleaning, a self eating. It eats and destroys these abnormal, undenatured or denatured proteins that accumulate in our brain and our body. And also this cellular waste and cellular trash and old senescent cells that are non-functioning. It gets rid of these. It destroys them.
So that, and it takes all the components that are needed to restore the mitochondria so they can start producing energy like we did when we were young. So what is amazing is when my patients start to do that, one of the most amazing things starts to occur. These patients who used to be bone tired, they start to rejuvenate. They start to say, hey, I'm starting to have energy like I had when I was 25.
And now if you put them on again, the adrenal rebuilder and the testosterone and the sleep and learn to cope with stress, learn how to get into God's rhythm, it works much faster. But the intermittent fasting is one of the key things that restores the mitochondria at the cellular level. Every cell in our body has mitochondria. There are energy factories that produce energy in the form of ATP.
As we age, just compare a three-year-old kid with tremendous energy with an 83-year-old man who can barely move and just barely walks. You know, Don, America needs to go on just two meals a day. They do. This three meals a day is false. Exactly. You need to skip breakfast. I'm telling you. You do. Now here's what you can do. You can have coffee with stevia. Leave the cream off. Just coffee, stevia, or tea. I'll put many of my patients on a brain-boosting tea or some call it my fat-burning tea.
Now, just take supplements, enter V with V. You can't have fish oil, but you can have all the other supplements. All the other supplements. It doesn't interfere with the intermittent fasting. No. You can have fiber at night to fill you up. But guys, if you will start eating just two meals a day, my healthiest patients are the patients who eat just two meals a day. Two with two meals. They lay breakfast or brunch and an early dinner. So you need...
And so you can fast, ideally 14 to 16 hours a night. Now, if you have severe adrenal fatigue, you can't do it. You got to start with just 12 hours. And you may have to have my fiber at night to help you through it. Or some people, they can only fast for 10 hours. So that's okay. America, we're eating way too much. We're just eating way too much. All the TV commercials. Oh, Mary. Everything you see on TV. You see the fast foods you drive by on every corner.
The junk food that's so available to all of us. Here's what you do. It's amazing. It's killing America. People, the later you stay up, the more likely you're not going fast. You're going to binge on ice cream cake, or anything crunchy, salty. Go to bed early. But at night, have a heaping scoop on my fiber zone. We have a new lemon lime or a berry flavor, a heaping scoop, just a little water, four ounces of cold water. Just drink it quick. It'll fill you up.
If you're still hungry, sip on my brain boosting or fat burning tea. Here's what it has in it. It has a cinnamon tea with jasmine green tea. And you just put that with one stevia in there. And the cinnamon tea is, and you could use lemon ginger if you, some people do, but I just like mainly the cinnamon. The sunset cinnamon is the best I've found. Comes in an orange 10K and you get it online. Oh, Don will never be able to get it again. Oh, you're right. Oh, okay. Take that out.
No, but it's good. It's really good. You can do this with the stevia. Yeah. And you can do that for breakfast again or coffee with stevia. And you are doing intermittent fasting and you're going to restore your mitochondria, and you're going to get your energy back. That's the exciting part. My healthiest patients are the patients who practice intermittent fasting. It is the key to overcoming adrenal fatigue and the key to preventing most of every disease. It also destroys pre-cancerous cells.
It is the best anti-aging secret. It's the best secret to prevent cancer. When you intermittent fast, you are rebooting your immune system. You're rebooting your energy. It's anti-aging. It's anti-heart disease. It's anti-every disease I've ever seen. Anti-dementia. It's the best thing to prevent dementia. There it is. Jesus said, when you fast, He didn't say if. Yeah. He said when. That's Matthew, yes. I'm telling you, that is supposed to be a part of the Christians' life.
It's a part of their lifestyle. You can tell the ones that do and the ones that don't. You can just tell the difference is huge. It's real simple. I want to encourage you to this challenge, join us with this because it is healthy. Let's summarize everything. So again, in order to overcome fatigue, it's important to, number one, we've got to resist anxiety by learning to cast all of your cares on the Lord for your care.
Not some of your cares, you've got to make it a habit of casting your cares on Him. Don't carry Him and commit to casting your cares on to Him daily. Number two, you've got to get a good night's sleep. That's when you recharge. You've got to establish regular times to go to bed. I personally go to bed at 10, wake up at 6, and even on the weekends, make it consistent. Avoid the things that interrupt your sleep. Avoid those long naps. Avoid caffeine in the afternoon.
Make sure that you're not having meds that cause insomnia like decongestants or like SOS or eyes. Well, they'll watch the video to learn all that. And again, we want to learn how to get into God's rhythm. Stress. Stress is one of the major things that causes fatigue. Get rid of stress by getting into God's rhythm.
Learn to hear the voice of God practicing laughter, belly laughter, 10 belly laughs a day, exercising five days a week early in the evening or late afternoon to burn off those stress cables not too much, not before bedtime, but learn to get in His rhythm and stay in His rhythm and practice that joy and laughter. And then a few key things we need. We need adrenal boosters, our adrenal booster, divine health. Adrenal booster is great one or two in the morning, one or two in the afternoon.
Optimize your testosterone level. We have divine health testosterone zone or testosterone for many men and women over 50. They need it. Also, what we want to do is we want to boost our energy with this simple supplement, this brain zone focus. It is amazing along with glutathione. That's natural energy. And then. These are all supports that Don has developed to help you get into the maximum energy. And this is what I do. Yeah. And I have tremendous energy.
And then the biggest thing I had to do is learn to cast all my cares on. That is the biggest thing. That is the key to everything. Can you do the intermittent fasting? Yes, I do that. And I practice that. And you stay healthy. And we're done eating. And this is what we, and again, we're done eating by 6 p.m. Right. And then at night what I do, I make my fibers on. We have the new lemon lime flavor that's delicious and the berry flavor.
I'll have a heap of scoop of my fibers on at night and four ounces of cold water. Not too late or you'll get up at night, stir it up. Now you don't let that thing sit or it's going to form like thickness like oatmeal. So you drink it right away. And then if I get a little hungry at night, I'll have my brain boosting fat burning tea with my cinnamon and with my jasmine green tea. And sometimes I'll put a little lemon ginger in there and a stevia.
And that way you're fasting, you're burning fat, and you are literally restoring your mitochondria. And these are powerful natural antiochs that you're taking in. So that's what I love. And it's fun. It's delicious. It's like a Christmas tea. You know, how we take my staff lives that they make it at my office during the day because it literally gives you that, it helps suppress your appetite. It gives you mental clarity. But it is absolutely delicious.
Reminds me of Christmas every time I drink this tea. Well, this has been some amazing information. I can tell you between all four videos. Four, that's a lot. You need to catch all four of them to get the full plan so that you can have the maximum energy that God wants you to have to complete the mission that he has for you. God has a destiny for you. He has a plan for you. He wants you to fulfill it. And you've got to have the energy to do it.
So God's just given him all kinds of things to help support you. And what's so exciting is most of it isn't meds. It's not drugs. It's easy stuff. It's reprogramming the mind. It's the stuff that you can do. You don't even have to go see a doctor to do it. So this is exciting, Don. I think what you've done laying this out is just so powerful. And I really encourage you to watch all four to get the full plan because you're not going to find what he had to say anywhere else. That's right.
