Episode description

It is Black History Month in the UK at the time of releasing this episode.

I always think it would be brilliant to have a world which was so equitable that we wouldn't need varying affinity awareness days/months but alas, we are far, FAR from that as a reality and as such this feels like as good a time as any to touch on the important points of equality and equity.

In this episode the two terms are compared, the relevance of activism at this time is mentioned and some powerful explorations of what racism looks like in the work place are also considered. Definitions which show how even the most genuinely well-intentioned and kind hearted person can contribute racism by not recognising how powerful it can be within institutions.

Gina also mentions some organisations targeted at BAME students which would be good to check out.
