Today, we talk one-on-one with Charlie Starr, lead singer of acclaimed American rock band Blackberry Smoke, whose highly anticipated new album, You Hear Georgia, will be released just about a month from now; an album which marks their 20th anniversary as a group. For the record, the band enlisted producer Dave Cobb, a fellow Georgian, to pay homage to the band’s deep respect for their roots – thus, the name of the album. Whether he’s performing to a crowd of thousands or conversing with one person on a video call, Charlie is a truly delightful, thoughtful, and wise individual.
