Episode description

March, 1922.  A series of odd occurrences at a farmhouse in the German countryside disturb a family for months, until one day, they are not heard from by the local townspeople, leading to the discovery of one the most gruesome and brutal massacres in the history of the country.  Six victims- two of them young children- killed one by one with a mattock.  Nearly 100 years later, the case is still unsolved, despite over a hundred suspects, and an investigation that unearthed family secrets of abuse, incest, and a *very* nosy neighbor.  Explore with us as we discuss one of the most fascinating unsolved murders of the 20th century.
