Episode description

Join us as Zoë takes over this month's clinical corner article! Matt and Allie are back at the Dry Ridge Center as Zoë shares an article she found from MDPI Journals that covers a potential new sign that someone might have suffered a concussion. SHAAKE (Spontaneous Headshake After A Kinematic Event) is the body's automatic response to shake the head in an effort to re-orient itself/vision/ proprioception after a fall or head injury. If you shake your head immediately after injury, does that automatically mean you've suffered a concussion? Listen as Matt and Zoë discuss and also bring up how concussions are treated in physical therapy.
