Episode description

In this bonus episode writer and vlogger Olave Nduwanje talks to Amal Alhaag and Barby Asante who curated the Exhibition: Diasporic Self – Black Togetherness as Lingua Franca. Diasporic SelfΒ is an ongoing visual, sonic and dialogic programme and exhibition environment that looks into the meaning, conceptualisation, multiplicities and complexities of the notion of Black Togetherness across Europe. Olave, Amal and Barby talked about black togetherness and it's precarity, the tropes around representation of blackness in general and the need for our own alternative institutions.

The exibition dates in Amsterdam's Framer Framed are from 14 December until the 17th of February 2019. And until 25th of January in 198 Contemporary Arts & Learning in London.
