The top 5 megacities to visit as a digital nomad | Ep 66
Oct 17, 2022•47 min•Season 1Ep. 66
Episode description
Are megacities good places to live as a digital nomad?
It's a really tough question, and the true answer is: "It depends on the city."
So, in order to put together a halfway intelligent method, we created a set of 6 criteria points to determine how well a megacity qualifies. They are:
- Community - How easy it it to find and build community?
- Safety - Is the location physically safe to travel, or are there pockets that are safe to travel?
- Internet - Is the average internet speed strong enough to support working online?
- Cost of living - Is the cost of goods/accommodations sustainable to live for at least a month?
- Coworking - Are there cafes or coworking centers available, or will you be stuck in your accomodations?
- Transportation - Is it easy to get around by foot/transit, or is everything a hassle to get to?
Based on these six criteria, we came up with a list of seven locations that fit the bill. Some better than others, but all were within what we considered acceptable levels.
Without giving away all the details, we will give you just a little teaser into the countries we discuss: Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Portugal, Argentina, Spain and Brazil.
