Episode description

Most people seem to think, "I don't have the necessary skills to become a digital nomad", but here is Rob Bone, a professional chef who founded a web design company and started traveling South and Central America six months ago.

Rob has an insane story arc, starting over a decade ago as a professional chef in the United States.

Over the past ten years Rob has made three huge life changes:

  1. Moved to Vienna with his girlfriend.
  2. Starting his own remote/online business in web design and SEO.
  3. Abandoned his safe & secure life to become a digital nomad, starting in Medellin, Colombia.

Rob walked us through the courage and ambition that fueled him to make the hard decisions he needed to make in order to take hold of the life he wanted.

In this episode Rob talks also talks about:

  • Productivity hacks (with an emphasis on digital nomad lifestyle).
  • Time management skills.
  • Difficulties you will run into as a digital nomad, and how to overcome them.
  • How to instill healthy daily habits.
  • Life in Vienna, Colombia, and Mexico.
  • Understanding how visas work in Colombia and how to maximize your time in country.
  • His favorite moments over the past six months that made him think "This is exactly why I decided to become a digital nomad."
