Episode description

Danny Burton had a plane ticket to Japan where he intended to live permanently with his then-girlfriend.

His new life was literally DAYS away.

Then Covid hit, and an alternate life path unfolded.

He got stock (literally STUCK) in Lisbon where he was forced to lock down.

Out of necessity, he found a few other digital nomads to room with while the early days of Covid raged on, and lockdowns remained in full effect.

Despite the inconvenience of the situation, Danny came to found that he really REALLY enjoyed sharing space with like-minded people while living abroad.

It didn't take long before Danny realized that his life's calling was to travel the world and share memories with fellow travelers.

Danny talks about:

  • The fulfillment you feel when traveling with likeminded people.
  • Specific destinations in Peru.
  • Living in Lisbon (partially through a lockdown).
  • How ad targeting can influence your dreams to travel.
  • Some of the hardest moments you will run into as a digital nomad.
  • Danny's favorite places around the world.
  • Why he dislikes Playa del Carmen.

Listen in to hear a truly authentic story about a person who took the plunge into the world of being a digital nomad.

If you're on your way to becoming a digital nomad (or already are one!) take a look at Danny's latest app: Nomadago, a social travel planning calendar that helps you keep track of and sync up with your friends around the world.
