Episode description

What are the top destinations you have in mind when you think about traveling as a digital nomad?

Most people think of the classic hotspots like Medellin, Bali, Mexico City and Thailand.

And those are hotspots for a great reason: They are excellent locations to live as a digital nomad.

But this is a big world, and there are way, way more places that satisfy the needs of digital nomads. Basically, in order to be a livable location all you need is:

  • Strong internet
  • Safety
  • Some community

If a place checks those boxes, chances are that it has the potential to be a decent digital nomad location, and potentially even a hotspot. It just hasn't been discovered yet!

And with the constant improvements in internet connectivity around the globe, new remote locations are becoming workable every day.

Jeff and Marisa discuss 6 unique destinations they've traveled that are well off the beaten path. They discuss all the factors that determine whether or not they are workable locations.
