In 2015, Hadley Doyle-Gonzalez, President and Co-Founder of SMG Delivering Data led her small team of “aviation geeks” to become one of the first 20 FAA legal commercial drone companies. The other 19 companies had well-known names like Google, Amazon and State Farm. In this episode, Hadley talks with our host, JoAnn Meyer about the connection between toys such as the Nintendo Wii controller and commercial drone technology, how SMG supported recovery operations after Hurricane Ian and recognizing the surprisingly similar path companies travel to move from skepticism to trust of digital technology.
