"Parking lot plants" has long been a unflatterning term for plants that have been used widely in a certain region.  They are seen so often in such poor condition, residents at times can become wary of said plant.  Think about what a parking lot plant is though. It’s a plant that exists in your region's conditions, commonly with near abandonment, and still survives.  Imagine what it can do in your garden with a little bit of TLC.
