Episode description

Lost Pages was founded in 2012 by Paolo Greco, who decided that academia was frustrating as hell. Barely employed, from of a desk make of loudspeakers and a cabinet door they developed 'Adventure Fantasy Game', and then went off to release a series of spellbooks, including some bound by hand by Paolo, who dabbles in bookbinding and printmaking. This helped grow a strong and idiosincratic aesthetic, made in equal measures of 17th century pamphlets, medieval grimoires, and 20th century technical handbooks, often at the same time both game material and in-world artefact and prop. Publishing Lost Pages soon after became a publisher, and released other games such as Chris McDowell's 'Into the Odd', Brendan Strejcek's 'Wonder & Wickedness', and Eric Nieudan's 'Macchiato Monsters', who all went to gained recognition and success, inspiring a slew of other games and creations such as Beyond The Pale, Book Of Gaub, and Wulfwald.
