Didaché - podcast cover

Didaché

Didaché is the Greek word for teaching or doctrine. All Christians profess to love Jesus but few seem to have a passion for doctrine and theology. The Didaché podcast is dedicated to teaching sound doctrine and theology for it is by this that our knowledge of God is deepened which, in turn, enables our love for God to be deepened. The Bible says, "And this I pray, that your love would abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment" (Philippians 1:9). This podcast will discuss doctrine, theology, hermeneutics, and how to apply all of these disciplines so that we can live lives obedient to God's word and for His glory. We will see how, far from being boring, there is nothing more exciting and practical for the Christian than to both know and apply sound doctrine. Most of the programs will simply be straight teaching from Justin but from time to time he will also interview special guests on the program, deal with current theological issues as they arise, and will dedicate some time to answering your questions that you send in. This podcast will not have all of the bells and whistles of some of the others, but what it lacks in sound effects we trust will be made up in content. Justin Peters is a full-time itinerant preacher dedicated to expository preaching and biblically engaging many of the prevalent false doctrines that seek to "deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting" (Romans 16:17). He has earned both a Master of Divinity (2000) and Master of Theology (2002) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and has preached in churches and conferences in 43 states and 27 countries. He and his wife, Kathy, live in Bozeman, MT, and are members of Grace Bible Church.

Didaché - Debbielynne Kespert: A Life Well Lived to the Glory of Christ

Debbielynne Kespert was one of the most amazing women Kathy and I have ever met. She was born with severe cerebral palsy, one of the most severe cases I have ever seen. Didaché - Prosperity Theology Comes To The SBC

The SBC has never been known for teaching or practicing prosperity theology, but prosperity theology is alive and well in the higher echelons and in the "powers that be" in the SBC. Didaché - Why I Believe Saddleback Should Be Reinstated to the SBC

Saddleback Church was recently disfellowshipped from the SBC by its Executive Committee because it ordained three women as pastors in 2021; this is in contradiction to scripture and to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. Rick Warren wants Saddleback to be reinstated to the SBC at its annual meeting this June 11-12 by a vote of the messengers. This will likely surprise you, but I agree with Rick Warren. Saddleback should be reinstated to the SBC. This podcast explains why. Video proving FBC Orlan...

Didaché - Rick Warren Lies About Charles Spurgeon

Rick Warren, former pastor of Saddleback Church, was recently appointed as Chancellor of Spurgeon’s College. This raised not a few eyebrows, given that Warren is now fully egalitarian, meaning that he embraces women as preachers and pastors. Warren assures us that his theology and that of Charles Spurgeon are “identical” on this issue. Is that true? I interviewed Dr. Ed Romine, who recently wrote his doctoral dissertation on Charles Spurgeon, and posed the question to him. I know Ed quite well. ...

Didaché - For Whom Did Christ Die? An Interview With Dr. Mike Riccardi About His Book “To Save Sinners”

Did Jesus die for all of the sins everyone has ever committed, or did He die specifically and only for the sins of believers? Was His atonement general, or was it particular (or limited as most refer to it)? Dr. Mike Riccardi has written a thorough book on this question titled To Save Sinners . In today’s podcast, I interview Dr. Riccardi as we consider this important question. Why Are Charismatics So Weird? Throwing Babies Against Walls

Smith Wigglesworth was a British faith healer in the first half of the 20th century. Charismatics revered him today as one of “God’s Generals.” Wigglesworth was known for punching and kicking sick people. Most disturbingly, he was said to have thrown a baby against a wall. ➡️ Click here to find all of Justin’s essential links.

The Inigo Montoya Series - "Raise Up A Child In The Way He Should Go?"

Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” This is typically taught as meaning that if you raise your child to know and fear God, he will stay on the straight and narrow for the rest of his life. Dan Phillips, however, explains that that is not the meaning of this verse - at all. **At 13:25, the chapter and verse reference is incorrect. It should be Proverbs 19:27. My sincere apologies. Q&A with Justin Peters - Am I Bitter About Not Being Healed?

In the second episode of his Q&A series, Justin Peters addresses a common accusation: that he is bitter about not being healed of cerebral palsy. Peters firmly refutes this claim, explaining that his motivation comes from a commitment to sound doctrine and the defense of the gospel rather than personal bitterness. He emphasizes the importance of understanding God’s sovereignty and expresses gratitude for how his condition has shaped his ministry. Peters invites listeners to submit their ques...

Didaché - Wonder If Bethel Is A False Church? Wonder No More

Many people view Bethel Church, pastored by Bill Johnson, as a church with definite charismatic excesses but still preaches the real Jesus and the real Gospel. But does it? No, emphatically not. In today’s podcast, I will show you that Bethel Church is a false church and will do so from a slightly different approach than most who have done so—by looking at their baptisms. *I was informed in a comment that the first Bethel staff member featured in this video is not Chris but Joel Power. ➡️ Click ...

Didaché - Is There A Calvinist Conspiracy Against Christmas, Charlie Brown?

Oh no, Charlie Brown! The Calvinists are conspiring against Christmas! According to some, Calvinists (being the diabolical little devils that they are) have managed to hijack the proper reading of Luke 2:14 and changed it to fit their theology. Calvinists regard neither the text of scripture nor Linus and the true meaning of Christmas. Is this true? Didaché - Is Joel Osteen Merely Not Recommended, Or Is He A False Teacher?

Recently, a Christian YouTuber said that while he does not recommend Joel Osteen because of his "prosperity theology" and "weak preaching," he does not consider Osteen a false teacher because of his orthodox statement of faith. Though I understand this brother's sentiment behind his statement (not wanting to call everyone with whom we disagree on secondary issues a wolf), I do not believe Joel Osteen fits into this third category of "not recommended, but not a false teacher." Joel Osteen is very...
