Episode description

There's been a lot of wild news over the last week or so. John McAfee, the Internet's favorite weirdo, died in a Spanish prison. Bill Cosby was released from prison on a legal technicality it seems. However, the biggest news is the collapse of an expensive high-rise apartment on Miami Beach that will go down as one of the first great tragedies of our increasingly corrupt and outdated infrastructure system. To help make sense of how this could have happened, and understand some of what Sleepy Joe is talking about when he talks about infrastructure reform, we turn to r/structuralengineering, a genuine resource and home for engineers in pursuit of a safer world through the addition of columns.
