You're listening to Dialogue Frog's English listening podcast. So, I heard you got some new spectacles. I did. I got new pair of glasses. Yep. I can see now. That's good. I'm no longer blind. That's good. I actually have really bad eyes. Sorry about that. I was blessed to have received very good teeth, but in exchange I have awful, awful eyes. I've been wearing glasses- how long have I been wearing glasses? Probably since early elementary school. You wear glasses too, though. It's true.
When did you start wearing glasses? Um, it's kind of funny, 'cause I started wearing 'em in middle school and then I went for several years without wearing 'em 'cause I thought they made me look funny and that was really not good. Yeah. That makes your eyes worse. So, then I started wearing 'em again. When I realized I couldn't see the board at school. A wise decision. Have you ever tried contacts? Um, my eyes have really bad stigmas against things. Oh, astigmatisms?
Yeah. Yeah, and so they don't make contacts like, that would work for you? They do, but they're prohibitively expensive. Oh really? Hm, that's a shame. I used to have contacts, but for me, like touching my eye, I do not like touching my eye. And you kind of have to touch your eye with the contacts. I can touch your eye. No, please don't. That's gross. I don't like, I don't like it when things touch my eyes. It's like germs.
Like I don't know what it is, but you, there's like this fear of germs, like on fingers or underneath fingernails. And then that gets in your eye and causes, I don't know, pink eye or blindness or something bad. Yeah. And that's even my own hands. Even if my hands are clean and I know they're clean. It's just a phobia or a fear. So, I wear glasses. Well, this has been another episode of Dialogue Frog
