You're listening to Dialogue Frog's English conversations. So, it's New Year's again. Happy New Year. Mm-hmm. Happy New Year. So last year we did an episode on New Year's resolutions and we just listened to it again. And I feel like a failure. How do you feel? Uh, not great. Yeah. So my resolution last year, so was to read two books in a month and I did not do that. I think I read two books last year, web, web comics aside. I read a lot of web comics. Yeah.
I read two books last year. No, oh wait, do comic books count? You tell me. You tell me-. I read a couple of comic books. -If comic books count. I, I want to- my goal again for this year, I want, I do want to read more and I actually just bought a book. Um, the other day at the local bookstore. It's a book called Shelf Life and it's about, um, these, these women who run a bookstore in Egypt and it just seemed really interesting to me, that, uh, to read their story.
So my goal is for January, I want to read that book. And then the rest of the year, I don't know yet. Maybe I can do one book a month. Maybe if I set the bar lower. What about you? Would you have any reflections on your resolutions from last year or what you'd like to do different for this year? Um, well, my resolution was to get healthier, which I guess I did and did not fulfill, 'cause I think I initially meant about my weight. Mm-hmm. Which I actually ended up gaining weight-. Mm-hmm.
-Last year, but I feel mentally, mental-health wise, I feel better. That's really huge though. That, that's amazing. Yeah. So, I think for you, that's a victory. I'll, I'll have the year of failure and you can have the year of victory. Yeah. I was actually-. Does that work in board games, too? 'Cause-. No. -Every time you win-. I'm not gonna-. At board games. No. I'm not gonna let you win. No. It's on. It's on. Yeah. Well, all right. This has been Dialogue Frog's English conversations.
