Welcome to more English dialogue practice with Dialogue Frog. Science. Well, that was a little scary. Oh, sorry. Science. Science. Science. You wanna talk about science today? I think so. I have my beakers prepared and everything. Beakers, those containers for chemicals and... Little glass containers. Mm hm. Wh-what kind of science? Um, I always thought that, if I were a scientist, I'd like the material sciences, so like stuff. Oh yeah. So, I think that'd be cool.
That is pretty cool. Um, you can't- y-you don't really think about it every day. Like, what goes into the material that makes up plastics or metals and and all of that. Mm. You kind of do some engineering work sometimes though. Sometimes for my side job. Yeah. How about you? Do I, do I do material engineering? No. No, not usually. That's a little outside of my skillset.
Um, I think I talked about this previously when I was, uh, when I was a kid, one of my dream jobs, my childhood dreams was to be an astronaut. Mm. So even now I still occasionally look at, uh, astronomy news, and actually just the other day, I was listening to an astronomy podcast with a famous astronomers, whose name is Neil deGrasse Tyson. Mm hm. I really like his podcasts. Mm hm. Actually, I like most of the things that he does. He's an, he's very interesting.
Are-. If I were to pick a scientist who I look up to, it would be him. Are his podcasts out of this world? They are! They are. That's hilarious. Now, I guess I need to double check. Is he an astronomer or an astrophysicist? Wow. I need to double-check. Mm hm. Science. Science. Well, this has been a English dialogue practice about science with Dialogue Frog.
