89 – Russell Corfield – Speedy Peas

We start with a detailed analysis from Andrew in the Dewing Grain market report for week commencing 8th June 2020.

In Farmchat Andrew is very excited to finally have a guest - Russell Corfield commercial director of Aylsham Growers pops in for a socially distanced catch up.

They talk all things peas and Andrew discovers what a speedy pea is and where they all go to be frozen. They can't stay away from the subject of weather for too long and the excitement of rain. We hear about the humble dwarf bean and some other crops that Russell is trialing with his co-operative. 

Before long we are back to the Coronavirus and how you go about organising a 24 hour harvesting gang without any social contact - bring your own mug!
