273 – Trouble On The Road Ahead

This week Andrew is joined by haulier, Dale Watson and Dewing Grain’s very own Logistics Manager, Andy George. Dale speaks about his journey in the grain industry, from where he started to his current role.

Dale starts his early mornings at 3.25 am, and talks to us about his day-to-day tasks. He informs us that the youngsters starting out in this type of work can find it very difficult and lonely. Andrew goes into more detail with him about the shortage of drivers and what could this mean for future market figures.

Market Report for w/c Monday 19th February, Andrew goes through the figures for this week. The market is continuing to go down and he speaks about the facts and probabilities of it increasing again. He finally announces the location of the next Dewing Grain walk which is in Reepham and the What Three Words are Sings-Galloping-Fruity on Thursday 29th February at 2 pm!
