A product of God's grace and love!
- It takes power, and strength to actually change
- Take the time to be on your knees and face before God, there is motivation in this to stop and change.
- Do you feel tempted to keep repenting after you have changed? The devil temps us to make sure we truly did repent, but we must also remember The Blood is enough, self-forgiveness may be needed, or a deeper level of healing
- Forgive anyone who may have led to sin, including yourself—laying all judgment and offenses at the foot of the cross.
- His Kindness leads us to repentance
- Everyday life sins such as losing your temper with the kids, word curses, complaining ect. All need repenting; the opportunity to change is open and available. Humble yourself, repent and apologize!
- Unforgiveness is a judgment
- Unforgiveness keeps us in bondage
- God’s kindness is what leads us to repentance, perhaps our kindness to our brother or sister will lead them, hoping for reconciliation, healing and restoration
- Each of us needs to come to terms with our own upbringing, unforgivness and judgemnt can lead to projected expectations onto others or God.
- Holding onto hurt, unforgiveness, judgment can trip us up into sin in the future because we won't let go and lay down the past. letting God do what only God can do brings freedom!
- If you feel a Conviction of something let's take it to a true level of repentance-repentance turns the heart!
- Tell the Lord you are recognizing the conviction, ask Him to show the root, the deeper true sin. Including the hurt, ungodly belief, offense, judgment, pride, lust, anger, expectations ect.
- Give the Lord time to uproot the real issue with prayer, worship, and maybe fasting.
- Confess and ask for forgiveness over these things in your life
- Forgive those that have tempted you or been involved.
- Lay down offenses that may have been picked up, including any against yourself.
- Forgive yourself
- Receive the Lord's forgiveness
- Speak truth over yourself - refresh yourself with clean water!
- LET YOURSELF SIT IN CONVICTION!
- Mind renewal comes after repentance!
- Acknowledge-bring your sin, bring it into the light. Confess so you can then see the truth and accept the truth!
- God will allow us sometimes to sit in our own suffering, in our conviction so we will work out our repentance, we can choose our sin but we can not choose our consequences.
- We can not compare God's forgiveness to anything of this world, but it is ours to receive!
