Episode description

Holly Wiedemann founded AU Associates, Inc., in 1990 and oversees the development of multiple award-winning, affordable housing properties serving seniors, families and special needs communities in Kentucky and West Virginia.

To date, AU has created over 35 communities and developments that range from the adaptive re-use of historic buildings including post offices, TB hospitals, multiple schools, former VA administration buildings, and an historic county courthouse. Holly served as Developer for the award-winning historic Fayette County Courthouse and secured over $11 million in historic tax credits for its adaptive re-use.

In this episode, we were able to discuss with Holly the ins and outs of Affordable Housing as well as the dilemma that many communities, including Lexington, will address for years to come.
