This is just a short little update to let all you destination historians know that I’m going to be taking a little break from the podcast.
I recently had covid, a couple of months ago now, and still have some lingering effects from the dreadful thing. So I’m going to be taking a little time to rest and recover. I’m not sure how long just at this stage, but hopefully I will be back getting episodes out to you guys in no time at all.
I’ve got some really exciting destinations I’m excited to share with you all. There’s the South Pole, Komodo Island, Shakespeare’s Globe. I’ve also got some really cool digressions in the works, there’s an overview of the cultures of Peru, the Loch Ness Monster, I’m researching that one right now and it is fascinating, and then there’s how to make the perfect cup of tea, which no doubt will be quite controversial. I’ve got a whole list of interesting topics and I’m excited to get stuck into these histories and get them out to you. I just need a little bit more time than usual to get through things at the moment.
I also wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you, a massive thank you to everyone that listens to my little podcast, it brings me so much joy to think that others are as excited about learning about the history of new places, just as I am.
If you can, if you’re podcast app allows you to, feel free to leave a review, or just click on some stars. It really does help in getting the podcast out in front of some more earholes.
And if you know someone who you think would enjoy listening to Destination: History, maybe they’re a friend, a colleague, an acquaintance, the bloke down at the servo, that lady at work that you don’t really like but have to get along with, or that person you instantly click with at a party even though you’ve only known each for about 20 minutes, suggest the podcast to them, you may just improve their lives.
I’ll be back soon but, in the meantime, why not go back through the destinations and digressions and give the ones you loved another listen. If you have any destinations or digressions you’d love to hear on the show, then you only need to head to the website and shoot me an email. I reply to every email I get and would love to hear what you like about the podcast. Or even if you just want to say a quick hello, I love reading those one’s too.
Alright, I’ll catch you all in the not-too-distant future. Keep those earlobes peeled.
