Wet System - Fire Sprinkler piping is filled with water.
Dry System - Fire Sprinkler piping is filled with air and water is hold-off by dry pipe valve. In an event of fire, fire sprinkler link burst, air bleeds out and this causes the dry pipe valve to trip and let water enter into dry pipe system fire sprinkler piping. Hence, fight the fire.
