Spencer Bailey’s forthcoming book, In Memory Of: Designing Contemporary Memorials (Phaidon Press), speaks to the important work of memorializing lives lived and how we experience grief. Spencer, the former editor in chief of Surface magazine and a talented journalist who writes about architecture, art, culture, design, and technology for many publications, came to this work via a very personal experience.
