Episode description

Dennis and Julie delve into failure and losing.  An investigation has been launched into top-ranked high schools accused of withholding student's national merit awards.  How has Julie dealt with success; does she know failure?  Life is tough …you should not be raised in a cocoon.  Has Dennis ever failed?  What does it mean to be successful?  Life is complicated and two things can be true at once.  “Splitting” is the failure in a person's thinking to bring together the dichotomy of both perceived positive and negative qualities of something into a cohesive, realistic whole.  The Left reduces everything to absolutes… it’s childish.  Dennis recalls his first job for the Israeli government.  “The only happy people I know are people I don’t know” – Helen Telushkin, and the origin of “happy as a clam.”
