Berly

Welcome to denim wrapped nightmares tipsy exchange Podcast where we explore the supernatural series episode by episode.

LA

over drinks, we'll discuss the lore of gore and what we adore about the Winchesters and their adventures.

Berly

I'm burly, and I'm a new fan of the theory.

LA

I'm LA, and I'm here along for the ride. Now, let's get tipsy. Lm la Hello Burley. I feel like we kind of say the same things about a lot of episodes, but this one was a little sexy. It was sexy heart wrenching, suspenseful lacking, lacking. Oh, well, I noticed like,

Berly

yeah, you do.

LA

But it was it kept you on your toes. Yeah, I liked it. And that sense anyway, I needed more. Oh, I bet you did. You know, I don't even bet I know, you know.

Berly

But last episode before we get into this week's episode, last episode was Dream a Little Dream of Me, where Sam and Dean raced to Bobby's side after he had lapsed into a seeming coma and couldn't be awakened. They dream walked. Diem threatened himself within the dreams kill. Yeah, reminding ourselves that like some bad things are on the forefront for Dane, and he knows about it. And he's not looking

forward to it. Bella showed up and helped them out by giving them African dream route so that they could dream walk and everything but also screwed them over in the end because she stole the Colt. We learned a little bit more about everybody. Especially Bobby. his backstory, Bobby hurt my heart.

LA

I wasn't expecting his backstory to be what it was. Because I liked him so much. I just I told her I was like, no good people. And when I saw Bobby I was like, no, he's good people. Good people. No, no, that's what I was gonna say is like, I know he's still good people in what he did, he thought was right. But I know in his heart, like knowing what he knows now how he could have saved her. It also

Berly

makes sense as to why he knows so much about demons now. Right? And visually, it was stunning.

LA

Oh, at best cinematography of all the episodes ever. So far. Anyway,

Berly

so good. So that was our last episode. Yes. Today's episode, LA is recapping for us. I'm just along for the ride.

LA

Are you I feel like you were really on the edge of your seat excited.

Berly

I was but it just kind of led me down there just wasn't enough.

LA

Just and I feel like his presence and what was going on the whole time. Was him without seeing him. Right. He was like it was

Berly

it was a tease. It was a cheat, right? It was a fucking clip tease. Like he was like there just enough to be like, Oh, he's there. But not enough to like cross the finish line. You know what I mean? There were a lot of close ups. I appreciate it. But we were missing some wide shots. Okay. Of the trickster. There wasn't a single one. Yeah. You needed to see the body more than the face. Yes. Well, I needed to see the body and the face. Oh, well, you

LA

got a lot of FaceTime.

Berly

I've seen open water too. I know what we missed out on of his naked but yeah, I would have appreciated that. I'm not saying it would have made sense in the story. Yeah, but it would have been welcome. Yes. And he could have have pants on. I'm just saying wide shot.

LA

We will get to that. So this episode is called Mystery Spot. It starts out we hear the song from

Berly

Oh my god. Okay. This episode originally aired on February 14. On Valentine's Day. It was our Valentine this year.

LA

Of a junior huh? Oh, that's kind of pre

Berly

2008 This was February 14 2008. Okay, so continue. I just I just spotted February 14.

LA

That's cute. I love that though. At the start, we get a close up of Sam's eyes. He's asleep. Obviously in a motel because where else would he be? And we hear heat of the moment by Asia as an alarm and he opens his eyes. Dean's already like putting his shoes on ready to go real excited. Asia's on he's like head banging into it. They're both in the bathroom and Dean is doing the longest gurgle ever of what I can only assume is Listerine but it's forever along and Sam was looking at him

like what the hell? He stops and Sam erdenes Like what? What's the problem? Then they're like they're getting ready to go Dean pulls out. He's like getting in his bag. He pulls out a bra. He's like, hey, is this serious? Like such a fucking shitty Engram is face.

Berly

Are you looking at maybe like, why does he have a bra in his bag? Like it was leftover from last episode or something? And I'm like, I don't

LA

That's what I was. I was like, did I miss that? I was like, did him and Bella hookup did I miss I like where's this bra coming from? But I guess it's just Rando because Dean gets the hook up with the ladies because look at it. Yeah, he jokes with them and then finds the gun that he really needed to take with him. And they head to

a diner. The first thing that caught my eye when they walked into the diner was there's obviously a guy who's struggling, maybe homeless, and the diner lady's like cow you know, you got to order something or or you got to leave and I was like, Oh, he's gonna be a part of it. Like there's something with cow for straightaway. Dean is like telling Sam he's like this job is really small like I don't know why we're even here.

It doesn't make sense kind of like a waste of their time when they should be really hunting Bella. But as they have their breakfast, it chitchat about the job. There's this missing guy, this professor hassle back from Broward County.

Berly

He's in Broward County because that's where the Broward County Mystery Spot is located.

LA

Oh, that's right. So some key things. It's Tuesday and up on the wall. It says other special for Tuesday is a pig in a poke. And the end. Thanks that's real quick, cute and clever. So he orders it. Dean orders his black coffee. So to Sam the cute waitress. She's an older lady and she comes back and she's delivering it and she drops Cholula bottle and she's like oh crap.

Berly

Oh crap.

LA

So to ask always like we put that shit on everything to Lulu dough. I'm sorry. Oh, Tabasco. I love you. But you're a little too vinegary for me. I love my Cholula

Berly

it looked like a Cholula ball. It did. Yeah, label wasn't quite right. But it looked like a Cholula Yeah.

LA

Right. I know. You mentioned I will be mentioning it more. So a couple things happen after the guys leave the diner. They're walking out. There's a dog that seems to be barking what I thought was it Sam because he's on that outer closer part to the dog. They keep walking this pretty blonde shoulder shoulder runs and Dean and says Excuse me. And again, I was like, Oh, she's gonna be something like I was like, I was just like picking stuff out. I was like, I'm ready. I'm ready. Are you

were? And I was totally wrong.

Berly

I told her like when we started this episode was like, Hey, this is an important episode. Because even though I've never seen it before, I manage our social media channels. And I have seen many things from other people posting shit. That has already told me that this episode is important. Just as soon as I saw the title, I was like, Oh, shit. This is a good one. This is an important one. La you gotta you gotta pay attention to this one. This is a big one.

LA

Yeah, so I was like on high alert. That's gonna be important that I'm like, I'm like checking everything and like making note of everything.

Berly

Like is that is this? Like, I don't know. This is an important episode.

LA

Well, shortly after I thought the blonde that was so important that ran into Dean. They're walking by these two moving guys who are trying to get this desk up this tiny set of stairs. And what's the one guy's like it's not gonna fit. I think it was like a little What do you want a pew? Lutzer. Yeah. Sam actually mentioned prior to their walk down the st. That professor hassle back. He had been to this mystery spot. And they why do they? I guess they want to go after hours. That's their

Berly

normal. That's their Mo Yeah. To do a good old b&e. Right, you know. And so they had their refusal. Was it physics, don't

LA

ya physics? What was it? It was like physics don't don't exist there. Yeah. And it's really cool that the shot is from inside the black spot. And it's this hallway. It's neon green. And it's got the swirl like the what is it when they're trying to hypnotize you like the little blue swirls thing or whatever would spin? Yeah, that's all over the hallway. It's huge. It's really cool. But everything in the Mystery Spot like these. There's tables. On

the upside? Nope. There's tables up on the ceiling upside down. Things are at angles. I mean, it's just It's wacky. It's a wacky place.

Berly

What I thought was funny is that when Sam was first telling Dean about the Mystery Spot and that he thought maybe it was a wormhole or a magnetic blah blah blah and people go missing Dean said, I don't know man, it just seems like it's one of those tourist attraction spots that's all weird and has furniture glued to the ceiling and everything so when they walk in and that's exactly what it is. Dean's just like yeah, Ah, amazing. Because it's exactly what Dean said it would

LA

be it. Yeah. I've got like Seahorses, monkey sharks, all kinds of weird stuff.

Berly

Sam's walking around with his EMF detector, like, just hoping to find something. And Dean says, Do you even know what you're looking for? And Sam was like, yeah, they finally goes, no, no, I don't know what the fuck I'm doing.

LA

Which was kind of nice. Coming off of the episode before we're, like, we talked about the cinematography, and everything was so amazing. So this one, it was that and then leading into this place where so many objects were just off kilter out of place upside down. So it was kind of cool. It was it was a little it was a good flow in this episode. Yeah, to see that kind of stuff. At this suppose a Mystery Spot as they're going through and trying to kind of

get any clues. We hear a noise and it's the owner of the Mystery Spot. And he's got his old shotgun out because, yeah, they're breaking a new spot. He's real jumpy and scared. Yeah, he's like, real nervous. He's like, What do you want? What do you want for me? Ready to shoot them for breaking and entering? And the guys are like, whoa, whoa, whoa, like, we just want some information. He clearly doesn't know how to handle the shotgun very well. And ends up shooting Dean right in the chest.

Berly

And he even says like, it was an accident I made to Sam's like call

LA

911 and Dean dies. And we're like,

Berly

Wow, just an Ackles did really good with like, his eyes being focused on Sam and then letting his eyes stop focusing on something. Yeah, like kind of go. Not cross-eyed. But just you could tell they weren't looking at anything anymore.

LA

And that was like Sam was like, not like this. Not like this. This is not how it's supposed to go because he in his mind. Dean still has the year or whatever. And like, this isn't how it's supposed to go down.

Berly

He died real good. Terrible. I don't know how to say it. He died for trade

LA

done. Yeah. Well,

Berly

he died real good. That just isn't that goes good.

LA

I think as soon as Sam was like, No, not like this. We switched to snap. I gotta take the snap. And he's waking up again to the age of song at the moment. This is when I was like, Okay, we're really this is like Groundhog Day. And she knows like I am a big Bill Murray fan. But I'm not like a trendy Bill Murray fan. I've liked him since I was like super little because he reminded me of my dad. I don't know if that's good or bad.

But I've always loved him. So as soon as this happened, I was like, Oh, this is Groundhog Day. And that's one of my all time favorite movies. So I knew as soon as it was like another day waking up the same way. I was like, oh shit, here we go.

Berly

You like grabbed your pen. It was like, oh, fuck, like you were like reading a new insert is that like, Yeah, as soon as the second day started over, you got like way into it. I

LA

said, I know what's going on. It was so funny. And so once again, we got Dean gurgling is shit in the morning. We're at the diner again. And Sam is confused. Everything's happening like I did yesterday. It's Tuesday. The Tuesday specials there again, they're living the day before it all over again. Sam this time catches the Cholula when she continues to same thing. Dogs barking blaan

bumps into Dean. The workers are having the same conversation about having the desk getting it upstairs and Dean is like okay, well we know it's at this Mystery Spot. Let's go tonight and and have a look and say it seems like no, no, not tonight. Dean's like okay, well fine, then we'll go during the day whatever. And they start walking off but as their alignment because apparently it's as they're having this conversation they're walking through a crosswalk and Dean walks out

looks right. Make notice everybody he did not look left. You're supposed to look right, left, right. Or is it left right left?

Berly

Left, right, left?

LA

Yeah, left, right, left. So he did left right. Didn't look left again. And he got taken out by a car.

Berly

This is important to La because one year during St. Patrick's Day, we were crossing the street and La got hit by Carter.

LA

Well, let me tell you I look left and right left. But these people it was the slowest hit and run probably ever because I like

Berly

was crossing the crosswalk and I turned around and LA was like on the hood person's car.

LA

She had passed by fine. The only thing is they just weren't Looking, looking on their phone or they just didn't give a fuck. And they were like, Who's this? Trying to walk in front of us? But yeah. And so I was listening how do people get caught under? When they're, but no joke like, I they hit into my hip or, or leg. I fell into the hood. But I could tell like if they had kept going, my, my legs would have gone underneath and they would

have run me over. And I was just remembering like, what the fuck and like trying to look toward whoever they were. And luckily I just like stumbled forward after they slammed into me. And I got away and they fuckin took off.

Berly

Yeah, as soon as she was off their car, they were like, gone.

LA

And they finally the sweet lady behind them, like pulled over because we called the cops.

Berly

Yeah.

LA

And when she was like, I saw the whole thing. I mean, thank God, I really have thank God, like, I've really been blessed in a lot of touchy situations. But that was probably one of the bigger ones. And so it was really just my knee and I have to say I still have problems with his knee to let honestly. But yeah, we we kept on for the we did what was that? The it was the St. Patrick's St. Patrick's Day. Yeah, we went and had some brunch. I elevated iced.

Berly

We went to a concert. Yeah, I puked in a porta Potti. glorious,

LA

glorious day. It was a real shit day. But I mean, what what is the past day without some puke and somebody getting hurt? Yeah, drinking some beer. We took selfies with the cop. He shut up. We Oh my God. And that was the thing the sweet cops showed up. They were like, I'm so sorry. But like, I'm sorry, you got hurt, but there's no there's

Berly

nothing we can do. That's what they did. Yeah.

LA

They did take the sweet lady statement that pulled over. Yes, kinda. She was I saw the whole thing. She acted like they did it on purpose. And I was like, She almost got me riled up that I was like, hey did really bad. She was like, No, I saw it. Like she was convinced she was like no, they did it. They did they push you on purpose. Yeah,

Berly

she was. So whatever Dean got hit, and you got all of a sudden all riled up. I was convinced. I was like, Oh, she's having. She's having.

LA

No, no.

Berly

Because you were like, oh, posit, whatever that happened.

LA

No, it was mainly it was mainly because he did. I was like, Oh, he didn't look left. And I needed to write I needed to write. That's all it was. It wasn't like, Oh, it's too triggering. I need stuff. No, no, no,

Berly

you did not pay yourself whenever you got hit by that. Sure. I

LA

did. Not deemed it. Yeah. We didn't know that. But Sam tells us later. Oh, okay. But it was pretty terrible. Honestly, it was

Berly

it was was because some good special effects.

LA

Oh, yeah. This season's really good. Yeah, real on top of it. Unfortunately, as soon as Dean is hit by the car, we're in our third day he again, I don't know why keep snapping for each day. But because the

Berly

Trickster is a snapper. He's. Yeah, remember? Like, what at the end when he's like, Oh, I'm going to Oh, yeah. snaps.

LA

I wish I could snap some things in. Right. Oh my god. But yeah, so we're the third day. We've got the song going again. But Sam is a little more starting to like predict the day at this point. And to convince Dean

Berly

he's on edge. Yes. Stressed out like a motherfucker for sure.

LA

When they sit down at the diner, Sam automatically starts ordering for Dean like exactly what he's ordered the past couple days. And I thought it was so funny Dean's like Oh, Sam, I get all tingly when you take control. He's usually the one doing that. But at this point, Sam's like fuck this. Like I'm tired of it. This is third day. Like I'm trying to convince you of what this shit is going on. Sam says he's in a

time loop. And I What was it what was the thing where they ended up saying the quote from

Berly

I don't know like i You told me to write down a note and I did but the only note I wrote down was Dingo Ate My Baby. I didn't write down why they said Dingo Ate My Baby. Okay, so should have known better. But no, I did not write down the context why? Neither did

LA

I was like, write that shit down. And you did but whatever. I mean, I'm sure there's plenty of people who are listening that know what we're talking about.

Berly

He is basically just calling him crazy because there was a woman in the what was that? The 80s who claimed that and everybody thought she was nuts.

LA

Right? And he just tells Dean that he he needs to they need to get to the bottom of this. Figure out what's going on because ever he's seeing Dean die over and over again and he can't keep seeing this. He just he's like I can't keep doing it. This time Sam saves Dean from the car. because he's about to do it right again. And they go to speak with the guy who shot D and in the beginning, the owner of the Mystery Spot His name is Mr. Carr PIAC thought was

Copiague. But then it looked at I looked at sometimes subtitles and it was QRP EC.

Berly

What if the subtitles messed up? I know I thought about that too, because then houses of the holy, I don't remember what you said her name was because that's what the subtitle said. And it was not her name. And you were real pissed about it.

LA

Well, Mr. Carpi at Copiague, who knows? Starts to explain to them that the laws of physics have no meeting here in his Mystery Spot. And I guess they're pretending they're journalists or something. Because he's, like, thanking them that they can get they need all the, you know, write ups, they can get press Yeah. And Sam's basically asking, like, how, what do you mean, like, how

does it work? And so Sam's getting frustrated, and he kind of like, blows up at the guy and the guy's like, geez, dude, like, Listen, I'm just trying to sell, like, get get this place going. I bought it off of foreclosure. I used to sell Bail Bonds. He's like, it's not like a real and like, it's an illusion.

Berly

I hope I can do sales pitch. And that's all I've got. Right? Leave me alone.

LA

Yeah. They're walking on their way back from the Mystery Spot in the evening. Once again, Dean heads out walking ahead of Sam and get smashed by the desk

Berly

and we get our 12 bloods fluids. Yeah, of the supernatural series. It's subtle. You have to look for it. But there's definitely a blood spillage that happens as the desk falls on Dean wily coyote style. He gets squished and the blood goes.

LA

Yeah, the workers from the morning figured out they weren't going to fit it through the door. So they were trying to haul it up through the window and it dropped.

Berly

Sam does not cradle his brother's body this time because it squished under a desk. It just pans up to show him standing there looking absolutely horrified. Yeah. Before it cuts to Asia.

LA

Yeah, the deaths are happening quick now. Yeah. Next one up there. Trump kind of strategizing how how to fix this how to get things right. And Sam says erdenes like so every day I die. Your day starts over again. And Sam says yeah, so you know, we got to do what we can do to keep you breathing. So that's that's their, their plan. And so Dean's like well, what do I order every day and he tells him the pig in the Poke bacon or whatever. So far, I didn't he tells Lady He wants sausage.

Instead she brings over three bagels, sausages, and he takes them by eating it and he chokes to death.

Berly

And you immediately yelled out not one of you knows Heimlich. Yeah, like you don't

LA

even try attempt to I mean, come on, Sam just like staring at him.

Berly

Out of all the things you guys know out of all the people's lives you save

LA

next day Sam's like we're not leaving. We're not leaving the motel we're staying here. And Dean's in the shower and yells out but not even breakfast and Sam says no breakfast. And about a minute after that. We hear Dean slip in the shower and the next day they're sitting in the motel eating tacos and Dean says these tacos tastes funny to you. The next day starts with

Berly

my one of my favorites was the electrocution was one Yeah, yeah. Because even though it was cartoonish, again wily coyote style and whenever he lit up you could like see his spine through his neck and everything. I still thought it was done really well. It was super quick. I didn't see that coming. I liked it.

LA

And then that will right after that one. We see Dean like sitting next to a chair with the Mr. Copiague Copiague. Tied up to a chair with duct tape and Sam has an axe that he is just tearing down the M spot. He says he's going to knock it down to its studs. He's going to find out what the hell's going on. What's wrong. Dean's like Okay, Sam, you're not going to tear this place all the way down and he walks over trying to get the x from Dean. Sam accidentally kills Dean with x,

Berly

we get our 13th Blood splurge of this series as we see blood squirt all over Mr. Copiague QRP x face. Yeah. If it wasn't blood, that could have been a good time for Mr. Copiague. Cardiac but it was so not so much.

LA

This next day when they go to the diner. There's a guy and I noticed that there's a guy in the suit, a suit that I've never noticed before

Berly

the camera focuses on him. It's like it's focused on Sam and Dean. And as he gets up to walk away, it's super quick, but he's blurry in the background. And for just like a second, it focuses on him instead, and then pulls back out to focus on Sam and Dean. So clearly they wanted us to notice that guy. Yeah, but I agree with you. I hadn't noticed him until that point.

LA

Doris is at the table taking their order and she tells Sam says that he'd like Doris to log in some more Hours of the archery range, and that she's a terrible shot. And she's like, how do you know what he's like? Just just guessing. And so that we realized that that there's been lots of deaths now like,

Berly

yeah, you and I were both like, okay, so clearly there's some deaths that have happened off screen. How long has it been? And it's, it's almost like Sam heard us, because he answered us in the next sentence that it had been 100 Tuesdays at this point,

LA

and he catches the hot sauce again. And he's like, repeating everything that Dean saying to him like they're saying it at the same time. Dean's tried to trip him up. He says he gets it every time. He's proven

Berly

he has these markers, like memorized like hot sauce, dog blonde chick lost my keys, like all that stuff. Yeah. It's sad. Like it's funny, but it's yeah. Oh, yeah.

LA

This time as you're walking down the street and Dean bumps into the blonde, he's like, Have I ever there, you know, he keeps trying to find a way to change the day that might change something. So he's like, Well, have I ever done this? And he goes running after the blonde. She's passing out flyers. He comes back and says, we'll look at this. It's a missing persons flyer, and it's her father, who is Dexter Hasselbeck, who is guy that they came to try and figure out where he went.

Berly

Now the guy who supposedly went missing at the mysteries, yes. How does he die on this one? Well, after Dean comes back, and he's like, you've never talked to that chick, and this is who she is. Same goes, Are you fucking kidding me? Hang on. And he goes chasing after the chick to ask her more questions. Right. And then dean looks at the dog. You have blocked this one from your memory. Because after this one happened to you were like, I don't like that.

LA

No, no. I don't think that Labrador would have or no, he was a golden retriever. Golden Retriever didn't kill him.

Berly

Who did that? Yeah. Well, the

LA

day starts over. There, they're at the diner again. And they're talking about this Dexter guy. He's apparently this big time blogger journalist. And he is a truth warrior. And has taken down businesses like this Mystery Spot place like for he's already like, closed down for them with his journalist.

Berly

Yeah, journalistic talent. Those are the big pads out there right now. And they

LA

get up to walk out and do no. And Sam stops at where the guy in the suit was eating and had just left. He's notices that the guy had strawberry syrup. And he's like, wait a minute, of all these 100 Tuesdays. How does this guy all of a sudden, he's been using maple syrup. And now all of a sudden he gets strawberry syrup. He's like, That's not right. No.

Berly

The other thing that happened was when they were leaving, Dean pointed out that Hasselbeck seemed like a total douchebag and that somebody served him his just desserts. Oh, right.

LA

I don't remember how Dean dies after the dog. I've been drinking. Listen, Dean dies a lot. There was like what he he that he once again dies the M spot I can't remember. But the day starts over. I

Berly

can't remember. I actually don't either.

LA

Because the next day, Sam is staring this suit guy down while he's eating. I mean, he's not messing around no business to him. Like Dean tried to talk to me. He's like, eat your breakfast. Like she's like, shut the fuck up. He's like staring at the guy. As soon as the guy gets up. He's like on him ready to follow him. He's

Berly

like, got a paper bag. And Dean's like what's in the bag? What's happening? So it's like clear Sam hasn't even tried to discuss anything with Dean so far this day. He's got his own plan. He's on his own mission. And it's this dude in the suit that he's going for.

LA

He rolls up on the guy gets in my throat pushes them up against a wall or whatever. Yeah, pushes them up against like dumpsters. Yeah. And then with a real aggressive like, has this huge steak. I'm like, why is this? He's got it to his throat. The guy says he's Ed Coleman. Like he doesn't know what he's doing there. Blah, blah. And see, I'm just like, No, I know who you are. The guy transforms into the trickster, your favorite that we knew before.

Berly

He looks so good. Amber, I

LA

will look at you and I can't

Berly

deny. I'm gonna break up with Sam and Dean I think. Okay, just a trickster and a Castile girl. Okay, no argument. No.

LA

Not gonna fight you on that one.

Berly

Look, samedi all yours. Yeah,

LA

okay. Yeah. If only that were true. Well, back to Sam and the trickster. The Trickster thinks he's like He laughs and he's like, You didn't kill me because Sam was like, we've killed one of you before and he's like, actually, no, you didn't know you

Berly

didn't dickhead. I think he called them bucho or something like that actually not dickhead, but he had to reveal that they weren't the hunters. They thought they were

LA

Yeah, they asked you what he did with Dexter, he says Dexter didn't believe him. So he dropped him in a wormhole. Yeah. So he got his

Berly

just as

LA

the Trickster tells them that this joke is on Sam not on dean. And it's he's like, how long are you? Is it gonna take you to realize you're never going to be able to save Dean? The Trickster tells them tomorrow the Wednesday he swears, you know as soon as you wake up, it'll happen. I don't think Sam still believes him. But then he snaps his finger and Sam is waking up to a different song finally, and it is Wednesday.

Berly

Sam was like it'll just be easier to kill you. He's like, No, fuck you. We can't have that. And that's when he snapped.

LA

Dean remembers the trickster. It is definitely Wednesday. They're packing up at Sam's like, let's just tuck it leave. Like let's get out of town. And he's like, Alright, fine. He goes outside to pack some stuff in the car. And we see Cal who I thought was gonna be way bigger part in this episode. But he's got a gun on him and tells him You know, he wants money. He's obviously hard up. It flips to Sam and the motel and Sam, here's a shot from the motel room and comes

running out. Dean is on the ground and he's been shot in the chest again, and there's blood squirting from his chest. It's pretty gross. Even though it's Wednesday. Right? That was the big thing. Yeah. And Sam is just like, No, no, no, though. This can't be since it's Wednesday. You know, like that's this can't be happening. And he keeps closing his eyes hoping like, he'll wait. He's gonna wake up again. And you know, Dean's gonna be alive and everything.

But that does not happen and flashes forward to six months later. Sam is driving baby alone. He's driving very aggressively. There's a voiceover of Bobby on a voicemail talking to Sam talking about whatever job he didn't. He got some demon and Death Valley and it shows Sam like upgraded the trunk with all the weapons. It's real fancy. Now.

Berly

There's music that's like 90s action montage playing in the background the whole time. Yeah.

LA

Then it shows. Sam coming back to your favorite scene, the hotel and for some reason. I mean, he's been stabbed or shot or something. And he has a wound on his, like his flank of his, like, under his ribcage. Yeah. And for some reason, instead of taking his shirt off to stitch up his wound, he just cuts it up, right up right above his nipple. real fucking weird.

Berly

It was amazing. He takes off his jacket and he's got like, his veins on his arms. Great. And then he picks up the scissors and like, yeah, he cut it right above his nipple. was real hot. But you said it was hot too.

LA

Yeah, but I mean, it's just dumb. It was.

Berly

But it was. To me it fell in line with like the night. I wouldn't say it was 80s 90s like montage the music in the background like it just worked. It was stupid, but it worked. I loved

LA

it. Well, he does. He does stitch up his wound and it's hot. Got to see his nice abs and nipple, that NiP. Nip shot. Then we hear Bobby again calling and says that he found him he has found the Trickster and he wants Sam to meet him. They meet up at the Mystery Spot from where they were on their Groundhog Day experience. Bobby has found a summoning ritual but it takes a gallon of blood and it has to be fresh. And they have to do it

tonight. Because otherwise it'll be a 50 years work to where they can do it again. And say I'm just like, Okay, well, I'll be back.

Berly

Yeah, like nothing like not affected at all, which that was the point of the Montage, I think was to show us like when he was stitching himself up with the bullet wound he wasn't reacting at all. It showed him eating really aggressively some meat and stuff brushing his teeth really aggressively that just I think that was the point of that montage used to show us Sammy wasn't Sammy anymore. But yeah, he was just like, Cool. I'll go get somebody from town. Yeah, no problem.

LA

And Bobby's like you break my heart kid. He says he's not gonna let them kill somebody that's innocent of Sam so determined and you know, better Bobby than a civilian and he hands Sam this cool like a knife. It was like a wavy knife.

Berly

I feel like we've seen that wavy knife before, but I can't think of when I don't know. I don't think it's important, but I just feel like we've seen it before.

LA

And this this is a really sweet moment and Bobby's telling him you know that Dean and Sam are the closest thing he has to family left and that he's like, you know better me than than somebody else.

Berly

He looks so cute to Bobby's eyes and everything. Yeah, see her? Yeah.

LA

And he's like, you know, just do it but make it quick. And he turns around, turns his back to Sam. Sam says yeah, Bobby I'll do okay. And but you know why? And he's the he has that huge steak again. That's very large and not super pointy.

Berly

Yeah, I remember you and I saying when it came out of the other side of Bobby We were like, That's blood does all

LA

hell and he didn't really put that much effort into it. No,

Berly

we were like, What the fuck?

LA

But yeah, he stabs right through into the other side where it comes at Bobby's chest. And Sam says he's doing it because he knows he's not Bobby. Bobby falls on the floor. And Sam's a little worried. He's like,

Berly

Bobby, yeah, as a second. Yeah,

LA

Bobby. Bobby, Bobby's not moving. But then all of a sudden he does disappear. The state goes flying and the Trickster catches it. Sam asks him to take him back to Tuesday so that he can bring that Dean back. literature tells him nothing good can come from them continuing the way on the way they were that they keep sacrificing each other for each other. And that Dean's his weakness. He knows it and so do all the other bad guys. And it's going to be the death of him.

Berly

The Trickster. He was lecturing, he was walking around a lot. Not a single wide shot. I just expected more of him in this episode.

LA

I know. I know you did. But Sam once again is just like, bring him back. Bring him back. And he's very, I mean, this boy love fucking loves his

Berly

brother. His eyes were so rare. So teary, he's so upset. And the Turks are

LA

like, really? It's like talking to a brick wall. I mean, you just don't get it. I didn't like his shirt. Yeah, you said that. You didn't like his out?

Berly

I did. I didn't. I didn't care for the outfit. But he's still gorgeous. The point stood that he was like, This is what your life's gonna be like with Dean like, you need to fucking accept it, bro.

LA

Yeah, we wake up to them in the motel again, because the

Berly

Trickster gave in and gave him what he wanted. Because of course he did.

LA

And Dean's there again. Sam runs over to him and just gives him a big old bear hug. Sweet Dean's like, like fit kind of like realize, like, how many Tuesdays did you have dude? That's how hard he's hugging his brother for Yeah, Sam, just like you don't need to know. But let's get out of here. We gotta go. Dana asks about breakfast. And of course, Sam says no breakfast. And again, Dean says he's gonna go pack up the car. But Sam's like, No, you're not going anywhere alone. I will be

going with you. Just in case something happens in the parking lot. And Dean's like Did something else happen that you're not telling me. He just tells Dean that he had a weird dream. And they walk out. Sam kind of looks back at the room. And it's like, kind of emotional. Like, then whether that was brother for six months. He's not going to tell them that. And then knowing Dean is still on his way to die. Yeah. And I mean, Sanjay has been through a lot. That's Mystery Spot.

Berly

I mean, he needed to learn that lesson. True because the tricksters right? Yeah. And also kind of gave Sam the wake up call of how far are you willing to go? Like, are you going to become this completely? Animalistic, feral version of yourself? Or you're going to accept that this is coming? Accept it when it happens. And try to be the champion. You should be? Well,

LA

I think he has successfully like what Bella was saying she needed him to be like Dean, Ruby. That was Ruby. What was Ruby right? Yeah, Bella,

Berly

don't give a fuck. That's right. True.

LA

True. Yeah, so anyway, I was thinking like, what that montage and everything. I'm like, Okay, well, she he's, he should be ready now. Like, just needs to go back into that mode when the time comes.

Berly

Except what Ali Ali cared about during those six months was hunting down the trickster. Right. He wasn't trying to hunt down the demons through and fight the demon war, but at least he knows he has it in him. No. It was directed by Kim manners. who also directed our favorite episode this season. So far, fresh blood. Fun fact. Jared paddle. Lucky regards this episode as one of his least favorite episodes because he had to cry all week. And it was

emotionally taxing. Jensen Ackles said that his favorite death was death by Taco. There wasn't any Gore in this really? I mean, we did get some bloods blue jeans, but I feel like they were so Looney Tunes esque then it didn't bother me at all. Yeah. So I don't know that I would even categorize it as gore. What did you adore about this episode? That nipple shot? Oh, it was nice. Yeah, like cutting up the shirt and the dog. Course. I adored Richard Speight Jr. Of course. There

wasn't enough of him. Yeah, I figured that it wasn't there wasn't as much as I would have liked. Right. I didn't like the outfit. They had him in at the end. They could have put him in something snazzier just saying something more form fitting. Who would have liked to belt again next time. Oh, well, Richard Speight taught. I loved it. So Lor is a doozy. Oh, Oh, and I'm a little tipsy. So forgive me. I'm gonna do my best. According to newsweek.com We're getting some science up in this bitch

today. Oh geez. Einstein's general theory of relativity allows for the possibility of warping time to such a high degree that it actually folds upon itself, resulting in a time loop. Imagine you're traveling along this loop. That means that at some point, you'd end up at a moment in the past and begin experiencing the same moments all over again. A bit like deja vu, except you wouldn't realize

it. Such constructs are often referred to as closed timelike curves, or C T C's in the research literature, and popularly referred to as time machines. Time machines are a byproduct of effective faster than light travel schemes, and understanding them can improve our understanding of how the universe works. Over the past decade, well known physicists like Kip Thorne and Stephen Hawking produced seminal work on models related to time machines.

The general conclusion has emerged that previous research, including thorns and Hawking's is that nature forbids time loops. This is perhaps best explained in Hawking's chronology protection conjecture. I think I said that right. Which essentially says that nature does it allow for changes to its past history, thus sparing us from paradoxes that can emerge if time travel

were possible. Perhaps the most well known amongst these paradoxes that emerge due to time travel into the past is the so called grandfather paradox, in which a traveler goes back into the past and murders his own grandfather. This alters the course of history in a way that a contradiction emerges. The Traveler was never born and

therefore cannot exist. There have been many movie and novel plots based on the paradoxes that result from time travel, perhaps some of the most popular ones being Back to the Future, and Groundhog Day.

LA

So like, why would you want to murder your grandfather? And wouldn't you have like thought about that?

Berly

What if your grandfather was like Hitler or something?

LA

Yeah, that's true. Okay. Still, I still would still just be like, Okay, well take myself out to

Berly

that's time loops. The other thing I did was a guy who lived in terminal deja vu. So according to BBC, the term deja vu translates literally from Flint from from French. As already seen, according to research, about two thirds of us experience at least one deja vu moment in our lifetime. Yet, very little is known about what causes it. In 2015. Scientists believe the extraordinary case of a 23 year old British man with quote, constant deja vu may have been triggered by anxiety.

Dr. Chris Mulan, a cognitive neuro psychologist who worked on the study says the man had a history of depression and anxiety and had once taken the drug LSD while at university, but was otherwise completely healthy. Brain scans appeared normal suggesting the cause was psychological rather than neurological. The man's condition was so persistent. He avoided watching television, listening to the radio and reading newspapers because he felt he had, quote, encountered it all before, for minutes and

sometimes even longer. The patient would feel that he was reliving experiences. He likened the frightening episodes to being in the psychological thriller. Donnie Darko overrated. I agree, and I actually liked that movie. I like it a

LA

lot. But I just feel like people really made it. Really hype

Berly

it up. I enjoyed it. I owned it, and I would tell people, they should watch it right. But then I would hear other people talk about it and be like, oh, yeah, still, I wouldn't want to live in it. Oh, no, no, no, you know, like, that would be frightening. So Dr. Mullen said there was one instance where he went to get a haircut. This is the gentleman who is suffering from permanent deja vu. As he walked in, he got

a feeling of deja vu. Then he had deja vu of the Deja Vu and he couldn't think of anything else like it triggered him and he flipped the fuck out. For eight years. The man felt trapped in a time loop, the more distressed he became And by the experience the worst it seemed to get. Dr. Milan said this man was striking because he was young, otherwise aware, but completely traumatized by this constant sensation that his mind

was playing tricks. So in other words, if this would have really happened to somebody like it happened to Sam Winchester in the show, it would literally be traumatizing. Like, yeah, they would be fucked up like Sam was by the end, I believe it. That's what I've got on the lore on time loops, and deja vu

LA

had some moments of deja vu. I mean, when it happens, I'm always like, yeah, it freaks me out a little bit. Nothing like that. No.

Berly

This is potentially related, potentially not. But what happens to me more often than the Deja Vu is that I'm just on the precipice of a memory. Like I can almost remember something that happened, but not well enough that it feels like it really happened. Does that make sense? Yeah. I have a lot of those. Yeah, I think I do too. But it drives me crazy.

LA

Well, to close it out on one of the mornings where Sam was not messing around. And he was like basically telling Dean what to do. Dean says, Sammy, I get all tingly when you take control like that. Cheers. I would too.

Berly

Oh. Especially if he cut the shirt up. First Oh. Thank you for listening to denim wrapped nightmares.
