Be ready to swing wide, as some of the most important dramas ever made came out in 1989, along with some of the wildest and most absurd comedies we love.  All the major players from Spike Lee to "Weird Al" Yankovic are discussed as we put a cap on the crazy year that put a cap on the craziest decade for filmmaking.  The creative shifts of 1989 would provide us with classic films representing major movements in the creation of Big Studio "Summer Blockbuster" culture, as well as propelling us into the Indie-lovin' 1990s.
