Yo-yo, yo-yo, yo, what up? What up? Good morning. Good morning GMG. Friday it's Friday, then it's Saturday, Sunday 13th of October October October 2023. Look at that. Another beautiful day to have a beautiful day. Let me let my cohost up on Here I Go, My Coast in the house. Joseph Mando, how you doing today? Good. How you guys doing? I said. A little chocolate felt good. Yeah, my both my siblings are in town, so that's so cute.
Yeah, yeah. So I've been spending time with them and with my daughter, and it's been pretty cool. That's cool. That's cute. That sounds very cute, actually. You love to hear that. I love to hear. That cute guy, you know. Cute things under that, under that, that, that look and you know. And look under that fucking hell. That black T-shirt, under under the black, on black outfits. And they're very, like British, like, you know, just calm, composed attitude.
There's a very cute man though, under that so. It's deep, deep down, deep down, very deep down. That's so deep dogs. You know it's true, though you're hella cute that that is. That is true about Mando regret lunch today with Ovie and Benny actually in and Vanessa A Chucks was nice. Ohh, you went to Chucks. Yeah, yeah. Look at you. I didn't know. It was. I didn't know what it was until until today. And it was delicious. And you cock Monsieur.
By the way, how was your lamb? Was that good? It was good, yeah, it was really good. Had a croc Monsieur, a crock, a croque A croque Monsieur. No cook miss you every defeat and it was and it was pretty good and with Benny who actually just a great chat about things are you know what I have to say like some really solid people out here for freeze. It's really fun.
I mean I can't wait. I'm going to go to the unit event after this and maybe W one as well I got to walk by W1 curates yesterday so I that's where you guys did your event right. Like that place is sick. Serious venue. It's a very serious venue outside, like with all the screens and stuff is actually sick. It's the first time I saw it, like I had never seen it in person, so I thought, I thought
it was fired. But yeah, Freeze London, full effect and a whole lot of fun stuff happening for that. Do you have, do you have the, the, the, the streaming link? I don't think, I don't think we do have it yet, but I'm going to post as soon as we do. But for everybody, we're live on audio, we're live on video as usual on this fine Friday The 13th question for you guys has Friday 13th. Is that a a a bad luck thing for you guys or a good? Luck thing for you guys usually I think.
Definitely bad, no? Yeah. It's supposed to be bad, but I've never personally had a bad experience. On Friday the 13th I knock on wood touch. Yeah, fuck did. Yeah. Yeah, like that shit scares me. Wait, they've never had a bad day. Like, you know, like East Coast to like 1100 to like Lynn Hour. You know, cause Keyboard Monkey. Well, there you go. There you go. Never had a. Ladies and gentlemen, it's there you go. He's had his time, he spoke, he's had his quote of speaking
for the show and he's out. Happens electromatic effect. I like that. I like the dramatic effect. Yeah, I like there's. So many. Friday the 13th, you know what I mean? Like. This must be, what, nearly two a year, right? At least like, I feel like there's been a lot more of these past years. Or do we just put so much emphasis on them? I don't know. Because there's thirteen months. Sorry. So it's 12 months and the seven days in a week. Yeah, on average that's 1.72
every year. Yeah. I mean, you don't have to do that. You could just work out the math, right? Right, quick math. This isn't it because it changes every The days change every year, right? There is 1.72 per year. On average there is a Friday the 13th once every 212.35 days. Um, interest. Hmm. OK.
Well, that's interesting. I guess we'll see what this Friday 13th brings us. That's for sure, because we're about to talk about it. So today on the show today today, market update, ETF bank stocks, this whole bunch of stuff, you collapse foot or not an IRL clubhouse. See a lot of more conversations about this on the timeline, deep fakes on meta. Are we going too far? That's something we're talking about with over lunch today because we saw this on the timeline.
But I thought it was like crazy, honestly. So definitely talked about on the show this morning and then blur blur blur blur is up on the news that there may be a like a a market fee of of one point. And last but not least, of course we have the Stubbs burned today for the artwork of T3 this week and then I will be joined by Decrypt quickly just talk about the lettuce endeavour. But the 1000 next community that they are launching our great friends at Decrypt.
And as usual, our show is powered by cracking Goal cracking.com/rug radio. You know how to spell that by now and give it a look and give us some love for sure. Definitely give it a love and a bunch of clicks, it's good for us. Anyways, topic number one. Ohh stuff. And Orlando, you know, markets seem to have like somewhat pumped earlier and now it's kind of like kind of flat. But what what what's the, what's the latest? When are we getting ETF news?
Like I read some stuff on Mandel Minutes, but the bank stocks this morning and whatnot. So talk to me about the market. Well, the ETF stuff should be, yeah. They did. Ohh, stuff was just waiting to tuck into another grenade bar right there. Too good. Too good. Yeah, that was that was snake. That was like clip that probably that was brilliant, alright. Ohh, well well the ETF stuff, the the remember, the deadline for the SEC to appeal the
grayscale decision is today. I don't know the time it is. I'm guessing maybe it's like midnight Eastern Time or something. So. See, they work government hours, so this We'll hear about this soon. Yeah, if if you don't see a filing within the next, I don't know like 12 hours, basically it's it means it's not happening, which I think is a good. I think I I personally think you will see crypto bounce a little bit on that. I don't think it's gonna be a huge group.
I think you'll see something decent on that. Conversely, if they come in, they do appear. I think crypto will fucking sell off. So wait, why would crypto bounce on them getting rejected again pushed. No, it's not. It's not rejected or pushed. It's a it's whether they appeal the decision or not. Don't appeal. Yeah, and don't appeal. They'll also accept the application. So they'll be like, right, we're going to move forward to the next stage?
So you'll either hear them say, look, look, no, we're going to appeal the decision or we'll take this to the next stage. And obviously if they don't the next day, it's a good thing. But we'll probably start to wait till January. Open interest, which is like how much people are doing, putting on futures trades, has been rising. Are going into this, you've seen. The discount on the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust also narrowed to
about 16% and you've seen. And you've seen funding go positive, which just everything indicates that people are adding longs, they're adding longs. Obviously the markets been down about yesterday. It really started to pick up again and people started adding long. So I think people are waiting for this decision to happen. And you could see a pump on the back of it. I don't. It still feels like January is probably where the main pump would happen this.
This feels as though this isn't going to cause us to go up like 5% or something like that, but it could definitely be from us getting hurt for a while. This could definitely be a bounce, but keyword monkey said we're going to 20K. Exactly. That's when you know. Alright, great. Did Black radio with KBM on Wednesday and he was like, yeah, I've stopped creating. He's like, I called it, right, I called, it was going lower and I've lost money during it. So I'm not doing it anymore, he
said. 20K and 1100 for ETH. How do you guys feel about Keyboard monkeys called today? That was the local lows. I will bet you right now he does not have that position on. I'll bet you a lot of money. I mean, he's keeping the leverage. He does 100X leverage trades. Like there's no way he's keeping that on. Crazy. I I'm scared when I go above like Ted X. So imagine just 100 X for a big trade. I have you ever?
Now. Have you ever caught a big trade on 1000 X like without getting stopped out? I never do 1800 X. Quite a few times I caught a tiny one but lasted like the other day when XRP the news came out I went full like DJ on like I don't know like $1000 and I I made 100% return in like 30 seconds and I closed it so good it was like. What you drinking there? Are you like so many tickets for everything he drinks and eats like this is? Crazy. The the fever tree, right? They're not.
Paying Oh my God, they're the competition. The competition. I've been drinking the competition, competition, the competition. That's crazy. If it didn't make drink, I don't want it. How did the how did the the docks dev, how was that last night on his own stage? I don't get it. Was he hosting his own press conference? It was hosted by like one of the Zuma community, so we need to host one next. Yeah. So I think we can go around and host one, like do one here maybe.
Do another drink. Hold on this fucking Scottish Water. Fucking Scottish Water. It was a weird one because I think he's also like a nice guy, so we were kind of like trying to shit talk each other, but it was just The thing is that you're like. Really awkward. It's like, it's like, I'm gonna knock you out, man. Oh. Yeah, cool idea man. You are way too nice. You're way too. Nice. You are way too nice. Started talking shit yesterday with me. Like I really appreciated that
by the way. Like that was good. About what? I forget. Like, who even is that guy? We've never heard of this like. I even I even put that under under over his tweet ohh yesterday like ohh for those of you wondering who my opponent is here, who he is and like post their video about him like his like life essay and documentaries like prop him up. I'm calling it right now OF is going to be best mates with this guy by the end of the fight, literally buying his Pokémon.
Friends for life. Like whatever shit coined this guy comes out with over the next 10 years, OSF is buying it. He's like a whale bag like they are. They are going to be ride or die by the end of this Clasico. Is that no ohh these second wallet is like dogs, is like top chart and like all this shit coins like there's always like OS F2 dot. E Exactly. It's gonna be like, he's gonna be like top holder of Zoomer coin after the fight. Like it's gonna be like OS F2.
It's gonna be like the new like the new like saviour, like like the mock community I have like this summer calling comma LSF like he's gonna be like pumping shit. I've shit coin with his wallet and he's like I'm sorry Oh my Like like hug is gonna be so cute and wholesome. I've I don't know any enemies of ours. I've I've known him for a long time, like he sometimes has people who become brief enemies and then then they become friends. That's usually the way it goes.
Last time I saw OV beef with someone on timeline he ended up saying 35 ETH on the guys bag. True story. It's like deleting all be saying that he's not an artist next you know bodies like buying him coffee in 35 and forth of art, everything. Like what the fuck dude? Like Oh my God, sorry. Why we we should be like propping Alvi up. Not like dealing with him we should not be. Like ohh we should not be. We need to hype man. He needs someone like in front
of him. With the press conference, I feel like they're like, community is like that person, right? Like the whole. Yeah, yeah, I think so. Yeah, I think so. I think you have a, you have a comedian like Django like talk so much shit like right guys. So it's just like, so it's like you're good, like you're fine but we're look, Benny and I both have 25 K each on your name. Against. Two against anyone who wants to take the the other side.
I'm sure it's gonna be some websites gonna pop up like once we're closer to fight. So Benny and are each 2025. See, this is what I've been thinking. Tommy, he runs the event. Yeah, the guy literally runs the event in Dubai. Yeah, this is most probably going to be a draw. Like as in like no one knocking each other out is what? Sorry, this is not going to be a
knockout. Which means we're going to go to some judges scorecard of the guy who's been organising the event for years in Dubai. Hi, baby. I'm just saying ohh, what do you think about? That I'm not. I I think ORF wins the fight on on paper, but maybe doesn't win the fight on decision. I think of that. I think how? I think that's a fair point. I think I have to win convincingly where they can't do that. Well, your answer should be no man, though. Fuck you, I'm gonna knock him out.
No, I'm just calling that. It's already fixed. Something I have to I have. I've gotta go for it. I'm not just gonna like exactly. Mess around trying to score jabs. I think that's what he's gonna try and do. That's the only way. Course he has a chance, but ohh, there we go. We're gonna go, here we go, and we're gonna need a cup. So I didn't mean that didn't mean that.
Sorry. The 8th Right now we need to compile this last little sentence Sims and make it seem like he really talked shit so we can start the I think rock radio is gonna take care of stirring the pot here, but let let my team take care of it. OK, But so anyways. So wait wait, what? What do you OK, Market. We're done with the market. Feels that way. OK, explaining to the point of this. Good, good, good news. OK cool, so you will laugh. So second topic today that we wanna talk about.
Obviously it's all over the timeline right now. Is you collabs right? Food or facts? So Ugly Labs is being criticised at the moment for the small game prizes. Notably you know some pretty big and notable U Labs holders. Dee Farmer calling it a joke. He said this is a joke, right? Are you guys being serious? I hope this is a misunderstanding in these daily rewards. These are daily rewards.
App is literally being thrown around in the most hideous and wasteful ways and you had one chance to create excitement and bring some eyeballs. And this is what we get. So you know season six finished. So there's updates for like the Forge boss rate whatever. Like one of the games that for heavy metal some people seem to have grinded this like over 70 hours and whatnot. And I'm trying to find the table for you all about the the winners to share on the screen
right now. But it seems like the rewards were were very, very slow for for for people and a lot of people are not happy about that. A lot of people is really are, you know, claiming that the rewards should be much higher and that you know they're not paying enough. Just so you know, like for example like Dookie Dash was a pretty big reward that ended up getting Mongrel paid $1,000,000.
And obviously like the timeline seems to have been very bullish on that because you know, if we get the gamers in through obviously paid gaming pools and whatnot, that would be bullish and whatnot. So it seems like people are not happy about this. So players spent more than 700,000 Ape within the game. Top rewards from other events were significantly more valuable and then rewards outside of the top 500 pretty small, about like $45.00 USD and then rewards out
of the ape allocations. So developing your heavy metal are not worth it at the current valuation of the collection and that's per tweet from Wally who reported that. So the first person won like 4 grand. So what do you guys think? Like are we our expectations too high here or is like Yuga Labs kind of like dropping the balls in terms of these rewards? They're just maybe it's a combination of both, but they're not. They're not really great rewards, are they?
Like I think #1. The fact that it's eight point, it's just feels a bit circular and #2. Yeah, I just don't think they're. I don't think the amount is anything big for people to want to like, play this, right? Like what? Is it just a four grand or something for the top prize? Yeah, for it's 3950, which is exactly. Nothing, is it? Have you seen the fucking price of Acorn? I have. To bring it up OK, Do we really want to?
Yeah, I think we should. I think it's important in this context because like, obviously this will stuff becomes far more important if the price of acorns at like even 5. Right? Here it is. Oh, wow. It's been Bassett like it's about to go below one. I think actually the game that was brought up. Over the last few days is big time. Game is a bigger market cap now than than Acorn. I think it is now because. Yeah. Like it was very briefly for sure. No, no, it's like even diluted.
So the diluted of Acorn is obviously just over over a billion billion, yeah. Yeah, big time I thought I saw was at 1.2 at one stage. Big time. Big time is at 1.1. They're the same. That's nuts. Helps. I mean, big time has been making games for way longer than you. Collabs like this is not new by the way. I knew about the like before it came out, just fumbled, but yeah. I I felt like this was a bit of
a still a sleeper. People wanna ohh everyone knew about it. I still think this was a bit of a sleeper, but ohh yeah rewards too small cause like a lot of people seem to be unhappy on the timeline to that but the rewards being too small based on how much time people spend to win. Like grinded. It of course, I guess all the point I'm just trying to make is that the coin prices, it could be very different if the coin price was higher.
So they probably decided this beforehand and then this is what it's come out because the coin has been absolutely hammered. Maybe. Maybe should have been People apparently defying was saying this. They think he thinks like hundreds of thousands was spent on this 700K ape coin. Yeah, so. There's a there's quite a big disparity there obviously, but. Yeah. So you guys facing a lot of criticism I think at the moment? Yeah, amazing. This gaming ark is slightly different.
Yeah, obviously we've we've even said it ourselves, like people are wondering whether it should be spun out and be its own thing. And in terms of Calms, in terms of just feel it's it's they're doing a lot right. And then you also saw the criticism yesterday. I think we're even gonna come on to it is that people are asking like well why are we doing all this We should just be doing community based things in real life. I think I saw who was that from Tropo Farmer maybe but that's a
long time. Like where is the Miami clubhouse? Like where is where is the clubhouses that potentially could have happened around the world? Um, that seems more tangible than this. I don't. I don't know how many people were playing this game. But I think it was love. I guess I go so some people are bringing up this tweet right from Novo why do we care about the big way boss acorn rewards and then and then like you know small Acorn bonus. So it seems like people.
So while this thread was like one of the main ones where people were like talking about under like you have wobbling in saying like not sure what people are expecting. You know, a lot of people saying the price pool is a joke, but a lot of people are saying that, like, maybe you know, it's tokens all time low and people are expecting things. I'm just a more think of gaming and stuff and the play to earn thing is you have to have a game. Like gamers want to play games that are good.
I feel like they don't care about playing games that make them money, but like if they're gonna play a game that makes them money, that is not good. Reward has to be higher, you know? I mean like to make up for the game not being as entertaining and I feel like this is where maybe they missed the mark, but I'm just not sure. I honestly, I didn't really follow the whole other metal thing because personally speaking, that's just me speaking for oak like it's too complicated for me.
Um, and it's too time consuming, but I don't know. I don't know. I'm, I'm curious to see what Daniel Agger is going to say. I mean Daniel is always on top of things and I fully personally believe in his ability to make things right at all times. And smart guy, I mean, we have on show and I think a lot of people really appreciated him, but. I don't know, but there is a there is. This disparity, right? Between the gaming community and this whole big time thing even
proved it right. It's like there is the gaming community and then there is the anti community and it feels as though you guys trying to bridge that gap. And it's not quite working on both ways. Like you've got the FT community being like where we wanna be be about community, you know, we wanna see things like events and in real life locations and and things that make us feel part of a networking group. And then you have the gaming community which is which is very different.
It's all about game play. And right now it feels like they're not really delivering on people. They're facing criticism, let's say. I think they've got a very difficult job, but they're facing criticism on both sides. And right, they're gonna have to, they have to navigate that. But for me, if I was running Yugoslavs right now. I would be focusing on the community side of things. I agree.
I would really. I mean, they do have, do they do have effects like literally around the corner like? You know they do but I just when I think about you Labs right now I still, I mean we had him on the show and he said look we we're a community. We're a community first and we were gaming company kind of we're we're a community from
doing gaming. But actually to me it feels right now like they with their comms that I see on a regular basis it feels more like a a gaming community that has still holding on to this community and the community is starting to feel a bit lost I so just to close up on the reward thing I do think the rewards should and could have been a little higher than this regarding the maybe the rate they should have waited to see how much acorn expense was that 700 and maybe given 10%
of that now I don't look I don't know how it happens in the finance side behind the scenes so I don't want to act like I'm an expert because I'm not. So I do understand it's like if the games really hard to play and people are calling it a chore like maybe just make the reward higher like dookie Dash
was all for the money right. Like and it was fun like even I was playing Duke Dash first week like crazy we're all having fun with it and I guess we're even you guys don't freaking buying dookie keys and stuff like that at some point.
Right. But it's like I think like yeah I like there I understand the rewards from team be more So this leads to the second conversation around you claps today which you just mentioned already which I was also kind of like pushed by by by triple farmer who obviously like one of the main like you labs like he's almost like a mascot at this stage for so for the body ball club.
But, he said, you guys spending millions of dollars in the metaverse that no one might go to might as well spend millions on IRL clubhouse that no one might go to just make it literally only open to apes. Plus their invites would be the hottest place in Miami and an actual flex for ape owners, you know? What do you think about that?
I, I, I I agree with the the community but also like also before I go to you guys to ask your thoughts, they have been doing the community thing though, right? Like we did an event with them and let me tell you that behind the scenes when you're an event with huge labs like they really freaking care like and I can tell you just like there's some me just talking you go up because we're partners and stuff like this for events like they actually really freaking care
about community. It was all about making sure that the Korean community is happy that the other side, Korea like it was really like Mike was like they were telling my team at all times like make sure, make sure, make sure that the core you get this very happy. So that I can assure you that as someone who actually has worked with them and also had a meeting with Daniel CU and Singapore, which I can assure you like he
really cares on that front. Again, those seem to be focused on the gaming side because there's a lot going on there. But then they also did fucking Mutant Friday or fucking Mutants Miami did the event Rock radio. They're doing a pest, like how much more do you want them to do on the community side, right? Ohh, I'm going through labs main page right now. The thing pinned is twofold. Let's check it out. Then it's the again 12 fold. Then we lot of 12 Volt here then
it's the other side test group. Umm. Then it's obviously the restructuring is that they mentioned, but boy. It's about punts separate, you know. Then it's about punks. I guess what I'm trying to say is like I I personally, as somebody who's just looking at this, I feel as though.
They're doing a lot, and it's not that they can't, it's not maybe even that they aren't doing each thing to a competent level, But the community thing for me is the thing that I think was the real defining factor and I just feel as though right now. I I feel a bit lost with how much they're doing and what they're doing. And that become it becomes maybe an important thing, but it's definitely, it definitely doesn't feel like the main thing. Yeah, it feels like they are juggling a lot.
They, they, they they have a lot going on at yoga right now and obviously restructuring can't be easy. I mean, Tropo tweeting something like this says a lot. Yeah. Yeah, it does. You're right. I mean, he literally won that because it was the first person to ever win the game when it was worth like, nothing. So. He personally, he feels personally that he's able to just like openly criticise to that extent.
I know criticise this quite a bit, but that I think it's a very rational point, like if you feel that way, you're right. If I was to say to a friend right, somebody didn't get the ball. Got cut, I said. It's basically like. Digital solar house with some extra benefits, but like we have a location in Miami, we have a location in London, we have a location in LA, we have a location in Hong Kong. Hmm, maybe maybe Singapore? Who knows? I'm joining that.
Ohh I could. I can pick that to a lot of people. Yeah. I I would love to put my app to use for that. I I think, I think Trump's got a point. But again like it's really not their focus like it. I think the Undertaking they've gone like they ohh shit said the wind just blew my door open. The the the Undertaking is very big It's it's tough I. Yeah, let me just expand. They expand. Their team massively expanded the universe massively and very sad.
Raise that money. They had to have a plan for it, I think. And that's what they went out to execute and the markets took a turn. That's basically it. But you know, with all this clubhouse and that kind of stuff, you know, I think. At first it was like, ohh, this is like this cool Yacht Club which has a cool. You know, it's cool to own at that kind of thing. And I think like they've lost that coolness a bit this year. So it makes it harder for to
for. You know what though in Asia is the other way around, like in Asia I can tell you guys, yeah, of course it's but when price goes back up, like it's cool again, right. So that's how it works. But I can tell you get rich or rest assured. Like in Asia it's the opposite sentiment. But about like 40 apes, like I have met with a bunch of Chad VC's and they gave me their telegrams and their PFP's are
boarding. I'm not even making this up and all of them and they love apes and they love accumulating board apes. They open like board API club thing in Japan and then suddenly grip posted a photo like the sentiment on the other side of the world about like board API club and and you got couldn't be more opposite than the sentiment on this side of the world. I think there's a problem here where like how do you bridge that sentiment over?
Because if S Hong Kong is probably gonna be a banger it will be yeah I was. I was considering flying out there to check it out for myself and having a couple of meetings out there right in Hong Kong and like over there like, and I even told you guys I went to board up your club. Like meetups, even the punk meet ups, they're completely different than the ones on this side of the world.
Like the handsome shaking over there and the people I get to meet at the beach was even the BBC like meet up over there it's it's not the same as like on on this side. I'm not trying to like throw shade at the ones here because I have just as much fun. Like put it well there isn't fuck holders here because they're they're homies.
We've been here day one right? But like there is a different sentiment and I wonder how do you shift that sentiment from Asia to the North America and Europe because there is a completely different sentiment over there. But again, like, the NFT sentiment overall is torn apart. Like even in Europe, like, right, we just talked about the art side with Benny for an hour at lunch, right?
Be like, Benny was like, wow, like this trip changed my mindset on the entire space and what I'm seeing in Europe is crazy. Yeah, so it's a weird thing, right? Because crypto is this like worldwide thing, permissionless, trustless, borderless by the day, like this massive, like cultural differences around the world and all these things that make it really hard also. So I don't know. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see.
We'll see what happens next. I do think though, like to me and I think to a lot of people, the main reason why all this went down is because of mandolin OSPF. Yeah, for sure. For sure I do. I do think it was you guys in January, in February when you sold, when you dumped your app, Samaji, I think. I think that was you guys that did that. It was it's all your fault. It's only look, the facts are facts. It's been downhill since.
I think. We. Kick started it, but if it wasn't, it would have been someone else. It will, first of all. Yeah, of course. And second of all, I hope everybody knows that. I'm just obviously kidding. Just trying to make it back for this tweet that you guys put out about me yesterday, which by the way, like did numbers.
So are you owe me half of your ex payout for next two weeks OV because the thousand lives that you got on me like the airline I did have to fire the rugby to intern over that comment obviously just kidding but you know it was funny anyway so we spent quite a lot of time with this one I I guess it's fair for anyone if you know if you want to make your points to welcome too but I think like it's still a time fixes this type thing and
look they just undergone like a huge structuring and I just think like when it comes to Co the guy came in and remember I asked him just like you how do you feel about the undertaking like that you had to take on like no pressure like dude comes in like Gordon had to go there's obviously like that that there was a wilderness what last year from C there's other side meant that already happened like this like coming into like the sugar
ecosystem like holy shit like I gotta clean this up right like you know like I don't feel bad that's his job and he's probably good at it but like it's still at the end of the day like it's
a big job right. So I think this is something is going to take a little more time and all eyes on the fest in Hong Kong which I, I I know it's going to be a success because I know some side events are going down and I I spoken to in Singapore and Korea to a lot of people are gonna be there and it's it's again like it's it's the people that you like as a founder you kind of want to be in the room with.
Because I kind of feel like it reminds me of the company that made Runescape Jagex, or of like Blizzard, where like the community is going to constantly have this dialogue with them. Because they love, like they do really, really love, like what could be built here. They have to face a lot of criticism like you people have worked up Blizzard or that come or Jagex. Often it's tough right, Because you get a place a lot of criticism all the time.
So if you're working at you go like I can imagine it's tough because you're like God, like we've got to deal with so much. But I do that they wouldn't criticise anything if they really didn't care as much. Like I think people like you said that the IP is going to be there for a long time. People really do like they do fuck with the digital identity stuff and like there is their persona, like you said, particularly in places like Asia say, incredibly strong, cool,
even with the price going down. I think they just, you just have to accept that if this is going to be like a you know, multi year decade thing that they have to face a lot of criticism constantly. Look, Asia is still buying like straight up, like I know that for a fact. Everything, man. They're the only shining light of crypto. Yeah. I mean they just bought Asia, just bought a gold eight floor
capital, right. Flooring capital or whatever like you know freelance capital mishap to him, right. So I think I think that if for the people I'm, I'm also saying that like all the homies on the West side here like what side. But you know you know like I I have the conversations out there and I see it and when I see PDF's on Telegram of all these chats that are all apes, I'm still like bullish like shit like that's still they're like flags over there and that's what
you want, right. So as long as your, your, your, your app is still flex you're fine. The date stops being a Flex and maybe you're not as fine. I mean and they have to go into game that's what they raised the money for FY. So it's important. Anyways moving on, moving on, moving on. We have some guests coming up shortly. AI and deep fakes. Have we gone too far?
OK, Meta Meta. Meta Meta is paying the celebrity faces behind its AI chat bots as much as $5 million for six hours of works per report. So they unveiled their AI assistant features last month featuring celebrities likeness like Mr Beast, Kendall Jenner, Charlie D'amelio, and and it's actually pretty crazy. So I'm gonna I'm gonna share my screen here and show you guys a video chat to Mika. Mika, don't lose, we missed you
on the show. God, that should have called it to cover this topic with us, but so, she posted. Her go here and I'm going to be doing a quick little get ready with me. Make sure if you have any questions about products that I use or any tips and tricks to comment or message me and I will give you as much explanation. So this is like super weird man, like there's this like whole like you know like comedies act whatever.
Like these AI chat bots, chat bots like this that are like little like you know, that are the faces of of of like Charlie and whatnot. Amika did numbers and she got community noted over here, but not because what she was sharing fake news. What she shared is very real news. But I guess someone just added to it to say that they were hired to do so. And it's super weird, man. Like this whole deep fake shit is going really far and it's actually over.
You mentioned something at lunch, like it's being used even now to deep fake like war stuff and whatnot. Like, what was that about? Yeah, I know. I don't know. I mean, I just you read all this shit about, like, people making AI images for it's dangerous. And especially in a time like this, when you have all this geopolitical conflict going on, you can really make some some realistic stuff and it will. You know, it will cause some
trouble in the world out there. So yeah, I mean, June 5th, there was a fake Putin announced that Russia under attack as Ukraine goes on the offensive. Like you've had it a lot during the Russia, Ukraine war and whatnot. And it's just like, I don't know. I mean influencers with different names now popping up a meta, UH with the name and likeness of these celebrities like this is like, I'm I'm pretty sure Black Mirror had an episode on that. Yeah, probably.
I think so. I'm pretty sure there was an episode on like ohh the first episode of New Season with Salma Hayek when she sells the rest of her thing. Yeah, basically. Exactly that. Literally that. Yeah. Are we going too far with mental? Do you think we're going too far with defects in AI here? I mean, what do you mean by too far? Like too far? I don't know. Like are we like this is getting a. Little awkward this is, I think they paid them $2,000,000 each,
right? For two years, someone unnamed was paid $5 million for six hours of work. Yeah, but obviously they can use that. They can use their likeness for forever. So ohh for the next two years. Sorry, Sir. Yeah. I think this is what's going to happen. We're going to be able to live on with digital. A digital version of yourself. Yeah. I mean, it's honestly, I find this so weird and I don't know, I also read another he.
Brought this up at his things. Zac was like, yeah, you could do this for people after they die as well. It was kind of a weird thing when he said that, that I was like, ohh. I. Think it's gonna happen, So you're never gonna die, technically. So actually with your. Hand I'm just saying that people will come back with like a digital version of you. Exactly. That's why I thought so. Like you know how we thought that like all this time we're gonna figure out a way to like
live forever. But that is it. You're gonna technically live forever, but someone else gonna take your name and likeness and your. I don't know. I mean, look, I don't want my hair to die. So, like, maybe someone can just have my hair forever. Like, that's OK. You know, maybe it'll be the best hair in Web 69 at some point. Yeah. I don't know, I, I, I personally find this really weird. It's just, you know, maybe we are going too far. Maybe not. But you can't stop it, that's
for sure. I I do think though I do think though anybody in that position would have also sold the rights. I mean, you're telling me six, $5 million for six hours of my time. I don't know. Maybe you're mad. I can, you know, give me a little ring. You know, I'm not against it. Would you guys do it? Yeah, why not I? Mean this could be us right now, you know. There will be a time where that could happen. I'm sure. How do people not know that?
Maybe this is not us. Well, that's why they say blockchain could be very important. Ohh this AI. Of authentic authentication. Ohh think like a I and like all these deep fake things is super bullish for blockchain technology. Like you know to to prove that it's what these people well, you're out there saying that we don't have like enough like. You know, it's like, we're really clean, aren't we?
Well, I've seen, I've seen. I tried to make that take and I was like, no one's going to believe it. It's true though, like, look at the fake Drake song, which, by the way, ended up being nominated for the Grammy or whatever. But like. Look, I agree, blockchain is a very good as we know, provenance can be increasingly important. So hopefully all content creation moves on to some sort of blockchain and then we can prove who created what. But I don't know if that is rose
tinted. Like are we going to be able to put all content on? Is all Twitter content gonna suddenly just go onto a blockchain? All Internet content, I think a lot of the verification of content is gonna go like I I wouldn't be surprised if at some point you have to send like some more of the transaction to prove that we were the people actually reported on news or like talked about what we talked about in the morning.
I think that's what that's what people are saying for like that could be the ultimate bullish scenario for blockchain is that it becomes like your digital signature for literally everything that you write, so that people can prove that it's you. But the the scale to do that is pretty wild and I just don't know if people will. But but look, I think, I think that is a reasonable bullish scenario. But I feel it's the one that happens in like 20 years rather than the one that happens in
like 2 years. Yeah, maybe. Maybe I'm too, too, too like thinking ahead. It's not bearish, just appreciating the time that it takes for things. To change, let me see. I mean, the NHS is already here, you know, like you could already do a lot of those things using, yeah, NS and and and and whatnot. But anyway, so that's that's happening in the world. Deep fakes, a lot of weird stuff. And definitely be careful, like just for people, just always be careful and verify everything
for now because it's important. Anyways, in other news and other news. In other news it came from blur blur Blur Blur updates. Ohh, umm, seems like Arca submitted a forum post to the Blur Governance forum to turn on the Blur fee switch. So when Blur was first released on 2/23, the Tokenomics outlined 180 day freeze on governance voting in a fee switch on the platform. And so that freeze now expired and we could potentially see a
fee go up on Blur 1%, right? Because at this point like you think like how does a a platform like Blur make any money if there's zero fees actually on both ends? Pretty much. And so it seems like, you know, that was some bullish news on the token. I don't really have a take on that. I don't know if mando you have anything to say about it, but.
I think, I think it's amazing. I think it's really great like they they come in, they got rid of creative fees for every single project, they brought out a token which then everyone lost a tonne of money farming and now in the ashes of the NFT market they want to now turn on a fee for themselves. I I think it's, I think it's incredible. Is that why you asked me to put this as a topic this morning? You had that ready, didn't you? I just, I I really, I'm really,
really happy now. Now now we can start paying. Let's look at the for everything that they've done blurs down seven points this month it's up three points on the daily. But that's like the governance is like a forum that was posted. It's not even like like the votes. Someone posted a forum note. Like, you know, you could post form note saying anything you want and then pop the corner if you want, I guess. But yeah, I'm like, I don't know, I I'm over the whole blur thing.
Like I was happy not to even cover the fact that Season 2 apparently has an ending. Like I'm just like I'm just really over it all. Like it's just there's nothing to report. I feel like it's just. I don't know. They wanna taste. I don't wanna taste, Caroline. I don't. I just don't. I mean, I but when's the last time you guys born FD? We bought we bought a bunch of red guys yesterday. OK, this isn't count.
Why doesn't it count? Because you have a, by the way, super bullish on that and that really respect you guys that I'm bullish on you two doing that by the way. I'm not trying to, I'm not trying to mean what you're doing for your community. I'm just saying like that's part of your buyback programme. You have to do it and you're killing it. You don't have to, but you want to do it. But you know what I mean? Like, when's the last time you bought like an FDA outside of
your own ecosystem? Yeah, I thought you gallery stuff. An art piece 3 weeks ago I think it was. The art is the only thing thriving right now. Yeah, from that from Gordon Gordon Burger. Ohh nice ohh nice. That's really cool. Gordon's. Hello nice. That's cool. Yeah. I was just wondering cause I was thinking like you know, after the keys and stuff and everything. By the way, like I haven't heard much French recently from Mando. Frontex to Going.
But it's it's, it's. It's slow, doesn't matter. And it's become increasingly about, I mean it was, it was going that way and that content was less important and then it just became like just became A33 game. I still get DMS being like, oh, can we 3/3? I was like. Doesn't feel like it's ready. All right, well, listen, we'll see. We'll see more of that.
