Daily Market Report brought to you by RUG Radio. Hey, guys. So let's start with the Macri stuff. Today we finally got payrolls. So the headline number came in at 187,000 versus 170,000 expectations.
So a little bit higher than expectations, but they actually revised last month's number down to 157 from 187. Unemployment is up to 7.1% in the US That's versus 6.8% expectations, 6.7% last month. And wage inflation came in lower than expected by 0.1 percentage points. So what that so that was U 6 unemployment. The actual unemployment rate is 3.8%. That's 3.5%, so. It's definitely like, in my opinion, more data showing that the labor market is weakening a
little bit here. We had that similar data earlier this week. We had similar data last week. So I think it'll be interesting to see what the Fed says later this month at the FOMC. But definitely the labor market is showing signs of easing up here and some signs of weakness in terms of macro. We didn't really move that much like the numbers came out, interest rates had a big rally, then sold off again. Equities are basically
unchanged. It hasn't really moved things that much, but I think we will have to wait and see what the inflation number is in in a in a week or so, a couple of weeks, I guess 13th of September and then we'll see what the the Fed says after that crypto, you know, just drifted lower still, like we're down to 25.7 K on Bitcoin, we're down to 1630 on E it looks like altcoins roll down 1015%. I just don't know what to say about crypto, I think. I think we're just just in this
like it's over medium term. Yeah, price descent thing, which isn't great. Yesterday the SEC delayed the Bitcoin ETF decisions by another 45 days, so that's what caused the knee jerk move down. I think they have something like two, I think it's 240 days they have from when they first start reviewing the application to actually make the final decision. So theoretically they could keep delaying until around March next year.
So I think it's the middle of March next year, 21st of March something or or sorry early I think 13th of March when they have to make the decision for BlackRock by. I think the delay to my personal opinion is not is is not unexpected given you had the great no case yesterday. I think they're going to keep delaying. But what's interesting, I think, and then I guess here's the bull
case. If you're sitting there long crypto and you're just like seeing price go down every day and it kind of feels shit, kind of sucks. I think next year is the year when when things change in March, the SEC has to make a decision on on the ETF stuff. It's not just Black Crock, it's also fidelity. It's also a handful of other Van Eck Valkyrie is a handful of other tragified people fine for ETF.
So if they have to make a decision by March next year, April next year is when you have the Bitcoin harving. So I think that timing is pretty good for for that now I see if you have and you have Bitcoin Harving. Why is my mom? It's two days in a row. I I don't understand. Like she I'm sorry, like anyways go on. And she's all fucked up with her time zones and she doesn't realize it's Showtime. And then the third thing is you have we just talk about interest
rates. The third thing is like, you know, according to different surveys, something like 75% of economists expect that the Fed will cut rates. I think it's by March or April next year, by Q1 next year. And then there's a very, very overwhelming majority that will cut rates by the middle of next year. So you have three things going for you in the first half of next year and potentially even the first quarter of next year, which is 8 corn ETS getting improved.
I still think it's going to be very hard for them to not prove it, but they might just take their time doing so. You're going to have Bitcoin harving, which I don't know if it actually makes a difference, but it's a strong narrative that's historically paid out for Bitcoin and then crypto and you have the Fed potentially cutting interest rates. So those are three very, very big strong positive catalysts that are set to happen next year.
And that's why I think next year is going to be the year. But yeah, some of these things could happen earlier, like the SEC could approve the Bitcoin ETF earlier, like the Fed could cut rates earlier. Bitcoin Harving wouldn't happen earlier but you have some good things running for you and I just think now it's just like it's September maybe people have made money. They want to sell, take profits. There's obviously a lot of technical selling pressure.
I think people are throwing in the towel and you know if you, if you're sitting here like for fuck's sake, I've like been through a two year bear market now like it's almost two years. October 2020. One's when we had the highs for for Ethan Bitcoin two years ago. So it's been almost two years and you're sitting there like I can see a lot of people just about to throw in the towel because price action is not the way they want. What I would say is I think we
are very, very close to the end. Like if you think about 2018-2019, it was those two years at the bear markets and then you had a blip in 2020, but everything went up and you know, people made a ton of money in 2020 and 2021. I think it's going to be the same for next year and we've just, we're very, very close. We're just a few months away
from it in my opinion. So if you feel like giving up or you feel like throwing in the towel, what I would say is, look, you've been fucking running out of two years now, Don't you know? So we're basically talking about there's a Bitcoin spot, ETFs. So right now there are Bitcoin futures ETS, which are ETS that people can buy like exchange traded funds.
They actually trade on exchanges, just like to say what it doesn't attend. So if you're just like a random retail investor, you want to buy something to put in like your, I don't know what you call it in America, like your pension plan or like your tax free savings, whatever. I forget what it's called in America that allows you to buy these assets and the SEC so far have actually allowed futures ETF's, but they haven't allowed spot ETF's.
And now BlackRock, which is the biggest Hasset manager in the world wants to create spot ETF's. The difference between spot and the futures is like spot is like the actual Bitcoin, so they get the spot ETF, they actually have to buy real Bitcoin and hold it in a wallet. Whereas futures is like a derivative of the actual Bitcoin. So it will the price will move based on how the actual Bitcoin moves but it's not actually Bitcoin that you own it's just this like asset that replicates
the moves if that makes sense. So the idea is that if BlackRock and Fidelity which are like two or three of the largest asset managers in the world, if they manage to file these spot ETS and the only reason why they're doing it is because they perceive they have some demand from their customers to actually invest in this and and buy it. It will then create and cause a lot of buying pressure for Bitcoin by quite should be a
large amount. I mean like you have, like I said, like how much does Black Crock manage? Black Crock manage is like 40 trillion in assets or something like that. And if they get the Bitcoin one down, then they can do an E1 and then you just start creating like a new pocket, not even pocket, just a new whole new like world of demand for crypto for people who want to invest in it because they now have a product they can invest in through ETS, which they are more familiar with.

Last name, a legal expert specializing in trademarks application indicates that the banking giant is eyeing A variety of services, including the financial exchange of virtual currency and travel agency services. So then there's like a little blurb, like the filing details, blah blah.
Somebody gotta explain this to me. I don't understand, but it could be interesting. It's going to be the rewards, right? I mean, are you, have you ever used Chase? JP Morgan Ovi. I I I personally haven't who bank with JP Morgan Chase and seems like it's just a trademark for their track like the rewards. I mean yesterday we reported Lufthansa dropped the rewards program on the Polygon and it's arguably the.
I mean I think rewards program is arguably one of the best use cases for crypto blockchain technology right? So I think Mika, that's what you're gonna see more and more the the application suggests that JP Morgan aims to create a comprehensive ecosystem where crypto assets can be utilized seamlessly for everyday transactions, particularly in
the travel sector. I think I think that's what it is. I think I think I think that's what it's going to be that's super interesting look like I think it's fair to say like the PFP meta maybe like dying and stuff but like crypto and NFTS and like the technologies never died like it's it's we've only seen more adoption over this bear market I I am. I continue to become more and more bullish every day on cryptocurrency in general. Like, you know what I mean? It's like it's it's it's it's
absurd. The amount of like adoption and infrastructure building that we've had over the summer even like even now with the on Chain move, it's it's insane. It's insane. I mean it's always interesting seeing like the the Bearish timeline and and stuff and then you see like news like that. Short term, yeah, yeah. And I wonder actually, Ovian and Farokh, what you guys think
about. Is there a world where we could ever really kind of separate the digital collectible and digital art world from the market ups and downs of crypto? Like do you see that being a possibility you know where it's like we're not bound to oh, Ethereum went down $100.00, so now all the the digital collectibles and art are you know on the timeline worthless quote UN quote.
Like do you see that we could kind of separate the two because you know provenance and collectibles are not going anywhere and and can neither's community to to be real. So I just wonder when we're going to stop being so affected by the crypto trading market, because it's really too, I feel like separate industries in a way. Yeah, I think, I think that's a fair point.
I think if you look at like, if you look at some of the art block stuff and also Glyphs and some of the high end art stuff on Open Sea, you'll see that people actually bid for them in USDC or USDT sometimes rather than ETH. And there's an argument to say it makes more sense for those things to be priced in US stable coins rather than ETH. I do think when people look at them as well, they maybe think about that stuff more in terms of dollar amounts rather than
ETH amounts. Eth just tends to be. Currency for them. So I think it kind of already exists in the higher end art market. I think at the lower end obviously it doesn't make that much difference for PFP for whatever reason. It's just like ETHE and then people get can get double rectal or you know do double wealth if you're in the right environment. But I think it kind of already happening in in the art market and if you look at art this year like you know the refit an adult
drop like. Came in at its price at $2500 and now it's like a 7.5 E so that's not like a 4-5 X like Sam Spratt's edition was like 3 and now it's like 60 even after the Monument game. Obviously Grant, Union and ACK have had big sales this year as well. So like I feel like the art part of the market hasn't really been that affect. I mean, it has obviously been affected by this crash, but there are still assets and people, artists out there doing really well and making a lot of
money. Even Despite that and that's because I think the actual buyers of art aren't really super affected by, you know, by this volatility. I do think, I mean that's not completely fair to say because I think there are obviously there are a lot of artists out there who aren't able to sell like they could in 2021 or maybe not selling at as high levels, but. And I think that's the part of the market which will come back when we have this big value.
But you know there always does seem to be a permit bid for like very high quality rare stuff that just still exists. And I think those guys probably think about it and and price it in dollar amounts rather than eighth amounts, but. It's a weird one like you know, for like why is it priced in ease? Like why not.
I feel like at the beginning we were, I think we lost artists being able to sell as much as they did in let's say, you know April 2021 kind of right or right before the the board APR club you know boom. I think we were just more like I don't know, excited to hear about what people using NFT technology and and stuff like that. And when people would come and talk about how they you know opened up a meta mask and they like released their art.
We were all just like so excited and and we didn't consider it chilling. But now it's like we'll hear an artist you know speak about their work and if they don't have some sort of following like we're not impressed anymore. It's like, OK, great, You created a meta mask and opened up your, you know, put your work on group and see like who cares,
you know? So I think we need to get back to that and and to kind of change that sentiment cuz we shouldn't be like, oh, you're shilling if you're an artist and you wanna talk about your work. Like we should still be applauding people by, you know, taking the time and and kind of investing their energy in this market cuz you know, yeah, it's. Gonna be a decoupling inevitable with with I think with the price of much to eve and just like going back to the exact dollars
