All right, without further ado, Mando CPI seem to have gone pretty good today. We have FOMC or something later. We need to hear all about it. Who is the main knackle daddy of the land? Can you dig it? Yeah. So bullish CPI figure. It wasn't like a crazy beat, but it was a beat. I think the expectations were 3.4%.
We came in at 3.3% and core inflation came in lower. Personally, I think this is the best shot we've had in three months to break all time highs today. Genuinely, I think that I think we just had a little bit of a capitulation and people lost hope and we're shorting at the lows and now we have this perfect set up. If we now have the Fed later today, I haven't looked today if there's anything changed in the odds, but I still think it'll be unchanged. But look out for his speech.
If he is dovish in the speech or points towards rate cuts later this year, we could see a big repricing there in rates. At the moment they're pricing in kind of 1:00 to 2:00-ish and the majority of them are priced to after the election. There is some talk about the fact that the Fed will probably wait until after the election to drop rates because it's a highly political thing to do. And also Trump is basically going out there and saying he wants to take over the Fed and
and they have to report to him. So there, there. This is a more politicized event than has been in the past. But yeah, very, very bullish, I would say. And the price action now we're like hovering below 70 K. It doesn't take much in my opinion, from here. There's a big cluster of liquidations around 71K. We did have an outflow figured yesterday in the ETF around 200 million, but nothing absolutely crazy.
So if we see a big inflow figure again today and we have a bullish Fed, I personally think this is the best shot we've had in a while. Like when we were edging up higher, I didn't think we could do it. But today, having just touched, what was the low 66 K like? Yeah, here I that was you were talking about. Yes, we hit the low on the shot like.
Yesterday, yeah, like with 66 two or something like that we touched like that is a really, really great little set up there draw drew in a bunch of people who wanted to short the market. And then let's see if we can we can we can hit the whole time buyer. If we don't, then it's going to be a little bit frustrating. But I do think this is the best chance we've we've had in a while to to have a go at it and breakthrough that 71 1/2 area that that we've kind of we've
kind of hit a few times. There's a lot of talk about when we hit that area, big sellers come onto Coinbase and finance like big sell orders. So there's talk about maybe manipulation or who that seller is, but we need this FOMO back. Funding had gone, funding had gone basically flat to negative and there was still a spot premium saying, you know, spot buyers were still around and open interest was rising.
And we had this big cluster of liquidations around 71 K. Can you bring that up actually in the fun, not the funding rate heat map, so on? Funding on corner lines. No, no, it has a liquidations heat map normally. No, No, on, on. Yeah, Liquidation. See on the top liquidation. You see that next to funding rate in the top bar, right? Yeah. Liquidation. Heat map. Heat map. Heat map. Yeah. Sure.
Yeah, well, this. Way the heat map is right now oh so you see we could really take out that 70K and then 71 look they look kind of prime for a take out there yes. This one. Here in my opinion. All right. Yeah, that would be really nice. We'd smash through that. And you know, there, there was some data that came out yesterday if you go to Rao Paul Rao Powell's Twitter, one thing that the inflows have really shown is really just this basis trade.
So hedge funds coming in, buying Bitcoin and shorting futures. We have no idea the leverage that they're shorting futures, but it, it could easily lead to like big liquidations on on a move up, just like there's more liquidations on a move down. But you see this it it's bearers to a certain extent because it just shows that a lot of the inflows into the ETF have probably just been hedge funds doing this basis trade.
So like I, I personally know the guy who, who runs Millennium Europe and he, they had this trade on in like billions basically, which is like a, which is a, which is like a basis trade. Like you, you buy spot, you sell future. And it's been a good trade for them. And a bunch of hedge funds have clearly come in and done a similar sort of trade.
But that does mean that on the moves up, we can have these like beautiful liquidation clusters where hedge funds can get liquidated on the way up quite nicely. So I, I think we just like I said before, this is the best shot we've had to breakthrough all time highs in my opinion. If he comes out dovish today, I think we've got a really good shot at it. In terms of what moved the most yesterday, Bonk and and Pepe, which we kind of already flagged
had a very good day today. All three of the majors are doing all right. They've kind of moved in lockstep. Higher memes are, I would say doing OK, maybe even slightly underperforming today versus where where majors have been. But they had a good day yesterday. There's some of those major memes and then some of like the low. Sorry, good bounce on a few of them. I I personally like seeing with Pepe Mog for the. It's a good bounce. It's a good bounce.
I'm not saying it's not. I'm just saying, yes, it wasn't like we've remember big when Bitcoin was at this level last time. The the your whiff was a lot higher, right? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, of course of. Course, so we haven't made-up basically the loss there, but it's still been a decent move up like we're talking about, you know, a 12% move in Pepe since we were on this show, right? 13% Mog's up 14 whiff similarly up around 10:00-ish. So a decent move.
And Bonk, Bonk was up seven. So yeah, decent move in some of the major meme coins. And then in terms of in terms of the majors, it's kind of even Stevens across the board. Bitcoin's slightly outperforming. It is slightly underperforming, but it's, you know, it's, it's marginal. It's marginal. I mean, look, right now I'm fucked. Marcus. Marcus, just grinding higher as you're speaking. I mean, Liddy, this Kindle just keeps filling as you're going, so maybe we should just let you
spit for the next 43 minutes. You shouldn't. Be bears right now. I just don't like like. No, there. I I mean, like, I know I meme a lot and I joke a lot about the whole bear thing, but you, I think you have to be mentally incapacitated or whatever, You're right to to be bearish. Like on the cusp of. Well, I guess list to Zoran tonight, but yeah, like I put it out today, which is why I just like it is just like cognitive dis like problems when we talk about macro here like in the last month, even yesterday, S&P an all time high. Nikkei hit an all time high. NASDAQ hit an all all time high. Euro stock 600 hit an all time high. FTSE has hit an all time high. The Sensex has hit an all time high. The ASI has hit an all time high.
Every single stock index around the world is hitting an all time high right now. Gold just hit an all time high. Like we're not sitting here and the dollar, the dollar is about to hit a year to date high. So. I'm going. To, I don't really know where we're talking about here, where we talk about like some capitulation on a macro standpoint like, and Bitcoin is obviously also most probably heading towards an all time high
relatively soon. So there is nothing out there right now like apart from some Canary in the coal mine stuff. Like maybe you have a bit of an issue with the, with the, with the regional banks because of some of the commercial real estate debt. But if that happens, you're just going to get more stimulus just like the Fed did last year.
They'll they'll do QE by another method and I'm trying to think where else like I I really, really am worried for maybe some pockets of of emerging market debt, but like nothing that I'm like there is nothing about this market that makes me feel as though we're about to like see a Bitcoin 40K like nothing apart from maybe yeah like if bird flu goes absolutely insane. We've seen the slight uptick in. Things that goes insane, they'll go down, but then you know what happens.
You. Know I. Guess I'm trying to wrap my brain is I really want to listen to this. Even today, even today, you know, the whole idea of the end of the Petro dollars, it came out today the so if you look at the the, the share of global, global payments right now, the dollar dollar share also hit an all time high. It's at 59% roughly. The ECB came out today and said, yeah, the euro's getting screwed by the dollar and the Chinese yuan, yuan. So I don't know. I'm just not bearish.
I, I mean, I, I, I can definitely relate. Tyler, does that make you want to run through a wall or what? I'm I'm ready to run through a wall. I, I cannot even put my, myself in a pair of shoes at this point in time. I mean, stocks at an all time high yesterday, they're even higher than that right before the show, another two to 3%. And like the curtain market's
going to fall. I think we are seeing two cuts are priced in and I think Bloomberg reported the first now being expected for September, so ahead of election and then another one at the end of the year. And I mean now like you want to talk about appointment viewing this FOMC at at 3:30 Eastern today, I mean. Yeah, I mean, I, I can't wait to see that. All I know is that I'm liking what I'm seeing price wise and that the bears are absolutely wrecked.
And I love to see that. I love waking up in the morning and seeing my memes bounce with with the market as well. It makes me feel confident, you know it, it feels good. It feels good when mando's like turbo bull posting and talking Pepe and you, you know, you say fuck it and you punt like you know a a decent 6 figure position into it and then it's up 11% the next day. I'll handle Allah anyways. Ethereum supply and exchanges is low as fuck.
Biggest, second biggest day ever of ETH leaving exchanges Yesterday I think we saw over a billion dollars of Bitcoin leave exchanges as well. Like I don't want to say but. Yeah, we're not going to jinx it. Say nothing. No, no. Obviously we've been in this range for a long time. And I've been saying for a while, like it takes a lot to get out of this range. I'm just saying today is the best day I've seen in a long time for us to potentially break
out of that. It was funny, like as soon as we hit this, I bet you everybody was expecting us to like everyone was expecting us to just like, just do this, you know, but. That's the beauty of that. That's what you need for this to actually break out. You need people to come in and short the lows. It is what's going to happen instead, you know what I mean? You know what I mean? Oh my God, Bears is so wrecked. Anyways, what else is happening macro wise? I mean, the Powell shit is at 2:30.
It's 2:00 PM usually. 2:30 is when he gives his remarks, right? So the remarks will be at two that there could be a slight change in the Fed language, which is more dovish, but then people will look to for his exact statements. He he he is always keeps his cards close to his chest. So you really kind of have to read between the lines and it can the market can swing on just a slight change in tone and sentiment.
But my guess is he's going to come out and say, we've seen a slight slowdown in the economy and we've seen inflation start to to to drop closer to the levels that we want it to and probably point towards rate cuts. Or at least say, you know, if we continue at this sort of consistency, we can have rate cuts. We're not that far off, you know, like the Fed's, the Fed's desired rates of rate of inflation is it's 2%, right? Or that's where it's kind of roughly meant to be.
And we're now at three and rates are at 5 1/2 percent. Like that's a pretty aggressive heart. The high level of rates for for that inflation. All right, well today in things you'd love to see is a market rebound. There's nothing I'd like to see more than a market rebound and the cusp on the eve of me leaving for like 3 weeks. Yeah. So it's like, you know, I mean, I'm like, OK, cool, great. You know, I can, I can afford the trip again.
You know, yesterday I was like, oh, maybe we should cancel this one. It makes me happy. It makes me happy given that I have a fat fucking position on with. The Jaime token on Solana up 20% to 137,000,000, so it is outperforming. In some more NFT adjacent news, the punks artist in resident Nina Chanel, she's going to have a pair of Air Jordans. Meanwhile, they look fantastic.
